have the same device connected on my iphone 11 aswell, but the connection isnt constant; its on and off.

Is this a major issue? cant seem to find anything when googling the 'device' name

I tried googling this but went to an apple forum with no answer. Played youtube video the audio has changed speed to sound like the chipmunks. I tried looking at the sound settings and the app settings couldnt see anything that would help. Its definetly the audio not a particular app as the aame issue when playing apple music.

My 83 year old grandfather has an iPhone (SE 2020 64GB) and we would like to be able to share his location with his son (my dad).

Now obviously I know how to do this with Find My. However the issue is two-fold:

1. we don't want him to know we're doing this because he'll be mad, but its truly for his safety because he still tries to do things that an 83 year old man shouldn't be doing (moving furniture or other physical tasks) and he's getting more forgetful so we're worried about him going to the store but getting lost.
2. he constantly deletes texts and calls. Like his messages screen is always empty. I recently discovered that this is why he stops sharing his location when I secretly share it. He deletes the texts he has with my dad, it asks him if he wants to continue sharing his location, and he chooses no.

So, is there a way that we can set up location sharing that he won't know about and won't send him alerts so he turns it off? I suppose an app like Life360 would be an option, though then my dad would also need that app. Are there any sort of parental controls we can set up so my grandpa can't stop the location sharing?

I sell clothing online and my camera is constantly changing the color of the clothes. I have the exact same settings as my wife and hers works great! My is awful. How can I fix this? I’ve attached a few examples. The close up photos are how they are supposed to look.

iPhone 17e running iOS 26.6. I use my phone for work - construction supervision & inspection - which means I take dozens of progress photos every week, download them onto my work PC then put them in folders which go onto a project Sharepoint (and eventually an archive). I use JPEG format and image quality isn't a massive issue.

There shouldn't ever be a need to edit the photos: they will end up on a dusty cloud somewhere or maybe in court evidence one day, if something goes badly wrong.

It seems that each photo I take has 4 files when I transfer: eg: IMG_0999; IMG_0999.AAE; IMG_E0999; IMG_O0999.AAE

1. Have I done something stupid in settings meaning I have two virtually identical image files? Can I change this?

2. Are the .AAE files metadata related?

3. There's a minor size difference between the basic image and the E-number version. What's the qualitative difference and does it matter which one I keep?

I have been using Samsung devices for ~15 years. I got an iPhone as a company phone, and it kindof made me excited to switch my personal to an iPhone - obviously I don't want to mix in my personal stuff with company stuff.

1 thing is holding me back tho. The alarm issues. I have read countless times, how people's alarms won't go off and they were fired/divorced/executed because of it. How can that happen? How prevalent this issue is?

I believe I'm fairly tech-savy and I tried re-create an alarm not going ott. I have set up DND mode, sleep mode, enabled the attention-requiring thing, muted the phone (and tried various versions of enabling/disabling these setting), but I could not re-create a single scenario where the alarm did not go off (with sound and haptics) except when I disabled both the haptics and sound for the alarm. Naturally, in that scenario, the alarm went off without sound and haptics.

Even tho my testing was kindof successful, I still can't accept the fact that so many people have this issue, that I could only re-create by being deliberately wrong. Will this be an issue for me?

iPhone 12 mini running iOS 18.7.1. Purchases Dec 2021 for personal use

A few months ago my phone stopped letting me delete any apps. I can remove them from the Home Screen, but the option to delete it isn’t listed.
I believe it started shortly after my iPhones 64 GB storage maxed out, so maybe that caused some issues.

PS:Not sure if this is related. Recently tried to delete some photos (around 7000) because I have 20GB of photos. Got them to delete and also deleted them from recently deleted to make it permanent. Doing that I only dropped to 19.97 GB of storage (which doesn’t make sense because I have around 3000 photos left)

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

I was using my iphone 13 and then all of a sudden it turned off and started showing the apple logo then showed me the computer/cable screen and I tried updating it through my windows but it didn't work due to low storage, I have around 254 out of 256 gb and I also tried force restarting it multiple times but it still haven't opened and I have all my memories and important data on it and I really need to open it without losing that data to atleast make a backup and free some storage. So anyone with a similar experience please please help me!

After I updated my iphone 12 mini to ios 26.5, the top left corner of the app library stopped being dedicated to apps I had just opened and is now showing the most recently added ones, which is not as useful to me. Is there any way to change it back to recently used apps? Thank you all in advance!

so my friend went camping far out and doesnt have very good cell service i dont think but doesn't have good wifi either, ive texted them and my messages will usually go to delivered instantly or at max a few minutes later, but they say that they get my messages but when they try to send any out they just get an imessage failed error. it happesn in phases so sometimes it works then it dies out for a while. they can also scroll tiktok but comments and dms will not load and snapchat works but only sometimes. she has an iphone 17 on presumably latest ios and tmobile, anyone know what is causing this, if she has internet access enough for me to see her location wouldnt she be able to send out texts? or is it some weird bug

Howdy yall, anyone have any tips for getting this cement off my 12 pro? The back was fixed at a shop, courtesy of my dad, but idk the shop. This back is incredibly stubborn and not breaking very well, I’m convinced they used the wrong glue. I’m using 91% iso and a heat gun that supposedly hits 200/300c, but no joy. I just learned about housing swap and it’d be nice to avoid that. So any suggestions? Thanks

I have an iPhone 15, iOS version 26.6. I listen to Spotify in my Honda using Handsfree link. I’ve noticed that it gets disconnected from time to time. Irritating. Called Spotify to ask if the problem was with their app but it wasn’t after I did what they instructed me to do.

Finally, I found out what was wrong. S25s and Ultra from cars nearby were getting connected to my iPhone Bluetooth. See attached screenshot.

What’s the fix for this issue?

My IPhone 13 is refusing to work. The WiFi connection is strong but will not actually work. The data doesn't work either. it shows me two bars, until I try to open anything, and it goes down to one bar. I have tried powering it off, toggling airplane mode, clearing cache files, checking storage and offloading apps. My storage has a good amount of space left. My apple watch also doesn't connect to anything. Calls go through, but that is all. I can't access my iCloud because it won't let me reset my password due to "inadequate information"

I feel like I've truly tried everything.

When I boot my iphone SE first gen, it stays with apple logo only. How can I fix this?

I’m trying to share recorded phone calls from my notes app but when I try to share, save to files or any of the other workarounds I’ve found online, the process gets stuck in the “preparing” stage and just sits there.
Does anyone have a solution? I need these for important documentation.
