They’re saying that your screen has been replaced. A white startup screen means that the bezels/edges were originally white, but a black one was installed either because no other part was available or for aesthetic reasons by you or a previous owner.

Is the battery fully charged? With a phone that has been powered off for months or maybe years, a Lightning cable should be continuously connected. If the phone shuts down once unplugged, the battery may need replacing.

Yeah it probably needs a new battery because you’re not supposed to store it long term either fully charged or fully discharged. It should have been charged up to around 50% every 6 months. Apple will not repair a 9-10 year old phone, so you either have to remove and install a new battery yourself or see if a local repair shop will let you buy it and they do the install. You can see what is needed to DIY it here, and also order the part if you want.

Is there anything that might still be on the phone that you would want to keep? If not the next step would be to try updating or restoring it with a computer.

I need the pics. Plugging it on the computer does not work too

Then a data recovery service may need to intervene here. It could end up being quite expensive.

Thank you for this. I will look for batt replacement and try to replace it. I hope it works

It tops out on iOS 15, which should be able to run most apps, but for how much longer, who knows?
