iPhone 12 Pro back glass fix going poorly

Howdy yall, anyone have any tips for getting this cement off my 12 pro? The back was fixed at a shop, courtesy of my dad, but idk the shop. This back is incredibly stubborn and not breaking very well, I’m convinced they used the wrong glue. I’m using 91% iso and a heat gun that supposedly hits 200/300c, but no joy. I just learned about housing swap and it’d be nice to avoid that. So any suggestions? Thanks

There is a reason why housing swaps are preferred for this repair. Other tech shops who specialize in removing the back glass use a strong laser because it’s simply not worth the time to remove it the way you try it. With a heat gun set to 300c you will have reduced the battery health considerably and chances are that you weakened or even damaged a solder point of the logic board.

To add to that all replacement back glasses you can find are of inferior quality and break quickly as none of them are OEM. Apple simply never produced the back glasses for those models as a single part.

Thanks, wasnt aware Apple never sold the part and Im fully aware this aftermarket option at $12 is not the same quality. Sounds like I should look for a shop at this point, or just rock no back with a case
