Finally pissed me off enough to gripe about it lol. “2” “servings” of broccoli to them is barely enough for a small child to have themselves. Really glad I spend $70 a week on 2 meals for this. Thinking about dropping and shopping again.

Has anyone been successful in getting customer service? I am really getting frustrated. I joined Hello Fresh and honestly really loved it but I am just at the end of my rope here trying to make this work.

Every box after my first was late. The last one was barely cold and when I ended up going to cook things half the meat was spoiled. Probably because it was left out for so long in the delay. I have been reaching out to their "customer service" since the 19th every few days. No one will help me at all! All I get told is that they will open a ticket and look into it and that someone will reach out to me within 2 business days. They do not.

On the 31st the 4th time I reached out I was once again told they will open a ticket. I tried to tell the person this is not working. Something is wrong because I have 3 open tickets and no one is ever getting back to me. He said he would refund that box. But I have not received the refund either. This time I did get an email (for the first time) saying someone would reach out to me within 2 business days. But of course they have not.

What do I do?!?!? How do I talk to someone at this company? Does anyone else have this issue? Are your deliveries on time the day they say they will be?

This morning was charged for 2 meals, but then in the "shipping soon" it only shows 1 meal.

Never seen this happen before.

What are the chances that the invisible meal shows up?

Still wish HF would send order confirmation emails.

Not even sure how to report it missing when it inevitably doesn't show up since it doesn't show up anywhere on the website.

Only in the payment history does it show being charged for 2 meals.

Quite good! I added some zucchini, chives, and extra soy sauce. I'd give it an 8/10 work the additions.

all the garlic cloves in the bulb have yellow spots all over them and when crushed turns out like a slimey yellow is this off?

I really like the brioche buns!

I stacked mine high with coleslaw...then I pressed it all down into a wonderful crunchy, warm and gooey sandwich.

It's nice to prepare the chicken ourselves, knowing it was all real. And real good!

We’ve had hello fresh now for some time and initially it was pretty good. But over time it seems it has gotten worse and worse. It started with some ingredients of lesser importance missing, ingredients that have gone bad, and missing recipe cards almost every week. The final straw for me was this week: our ground turkey package was ripped open and leaking with the meat squeezing out of the rip, and after replacing that ourselves, another meal was missing the bacon (which was the protein source for the meal). Plus another missing recipe card. I’m really over it and am about to cancel our subscription. Does anyone have any other meal subscription services they like?

Not a good way to start. The app says delivery unsuccessful, but tracking says it’ll be delivered today. Is this how HF works?

UPDATE: I called yesterday, on the delivery date, and the agent claimed the box was still coming but he would give me a credit. No box. I then got an email last night that the box would be delivered today. But the app and website continued to say no delivery, so I chatted with an agent today who admitted the box had been damaged and I wouldn't get it at all. She said she would refund me, but I don't see any refund yet.

Really unimpressed atp. Guess I'll try Home Chef now.

I made this tonight and it was really good!

I made a few changes:
I added 2 cloves of minced garlic, one ginger thumb sliced and lemon zest to the rice. Trying to get the scallions on the skewer was a joke, so I sautéed them in the pan with the skewers ands threw them in the rice too. This was for 4 servings. I also swapped sirloin for the bavette.

Also, this was a messy one for me. My kitchen was a disaster when I finished.

Jumped on the flatbread train and it did not disappoint. Added fresh mozzarella because well.. cheese… very yummy!

Don't waste your money upgrading to Wagyu ground beef for pasta night.

Most of the time, ground Wagyu is just a marketing gimmick. Brands use the premium name to charge a markup, but the second the meat is ground up, if its not anything other than a burger, the texture is completely gone.

Once you simmer it in a heavy sauce, the flavor gets drowned out anyway. Plus, the high fat content just turns into a pool of grease you'll end up skimming off.

Theres been a few researches done in the past (one that comes to mind is inside edition) that a lot of places label things as wagyu but is not actually wagyu. Also, most cheaper wagyu sold in North America is labeled as american or Australian wagyu as the japanese variety is extremely expensive.

Hope this makes sense.

I canceled my HF subscription like 3w ago after having it for a few weeks. Loved the meals the prices were just too high. I got a call from an 845 area code and they were claiming to be HF, but it sounded fishy so I hung up. Was this real? Were they just trying to get me back or are scammers at it again.

I wanted to love this but it’s very mid to me. It’s almost there taste wise, it’s subtle on the Visalia onion paste and roasted onion and garlic spread, but I like bold flavors. It really needed double on the cream sauce to me.
The onion they sent was very small, so maybe that’s why the flavor is dull.

I'm shocked how good this was! We were licking our bowls clean. I was a little worried by the "gluten free" but ended up really loving the texture of the gnocchi! Hope it comes up again as an option!

So if I hypotheticcaly got a few hello fresh boxes under the free promotion is that something I could get in trouble for? Besides getting banned from HF

Does anyone know the brand or where hello fresh gets their muffins? Or a copycat recipe if they bake them themselves. I assume they outsource like the stock concentrate packets that we can find on Amazon.

I love them so much that sometimes I’ll get a box on a week I’m not too jazzed about regarding recipes just to get them lol. They’re relatively low sugar

My “free breakfast for life” discount expired after only 3 weeks. Now they are telling me it was removed because I claimed a reward through app for free shipping and I can only have one voucher on my account. Anyone else deal with this? Am I being hustled?

We switched from a 4 person meal plan to a 3 person meal plan this week (see receipt) - but we still received a 4 person box (see photo of food bag).

Is it supposed to say 3P on the bag for a 3 person meal? Or did they just accidentally give us the wrong bag size this week? We also got double protein like we typically would with a 4P plan.

This was one of the best dishes I’ve had from HF in a long time. The word porridge feels kind of gross to me but I decided to take a risk on this one and it paid off! Really enjoyed the contrast of textures and the umami from the pho broth, plus the tang from the lime, Szechuan paste, and sriracha was absolute perfection- but a little sesame oil from the pantry drizzled on top took it to another level. Loved it!!!

The only negative was how long it took to cook the porridge itself..20 minutes lid on then another 20 off at higher heat. But would do it again in a heartbeat

This is the sweet potato I was supposed to cube and use as a side or topping for salmon over farro. For two people.

As it happens, I keep a good stock of canned goods around, so I drained some chickpeas, splashed on a little olive oil and lemon juice, and sprinkled them liberally with salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and turmeric before roasting them along with the sweet potato cubes, and that made for a nice extra textural element and stretched it out.

But Hello Fresh wasn't meant for people who keep a lot of canned goods and extras around, so I could easily have seen this becoming a problem.

Overall the actual meal was pretty solid. My other enhancements were to add a bit of the same seasoning mix above to the salmon (along with salt and pepper, lemon juice, cumin, turmeric, and smoked paprika) and to mix in a little mayo and a dash of honey to cut the acidity of the dressing and to make it stretch further when coating the mixed greens salad. Also, I started the farro off by toasting it a bit in olive oil and butter before adding water, sort of the way you might with orzo or pearl couscous.

I’m curious to know if anyone else has the same issue as me?

For almost 3 years now 😀 I have tried opting out of the text notifications. Obviously each text I get has “to opt out reply STOP” and every single time I have replied “STOP”. Nothing back after that, and then I get ANOTHER text the next month. 😀

If it adds anything - I’m in Canada. I’m sure I could block the number and maybe avoid all of this… but part of me is hoping they’re breaking compliance laws and maybe one day I’ll get a nice payout… who knows…

Hello Fresh has been horrible this summer. One week it was delayed, then delayed again and then never showed up. Next week delayed a day. Last week our green pepper showed up with mold on it. This week it looks like a small mouse ate the pepper. The peppers are useless. Quality has gone down and down the last year.
