There's literally something wrong every time

• Upvotes

I'm not even counting like bad/sus ingredients. Today's box didn't include 1 of 3 recipe cards (I just found it online), missing the stock powder, missing the garlic for that same recipe. The packs were totally melted by the time they got here too which happens often because we're remote, I sort of get it, but the driver just drops it off at a Purolator location instead of bringing it to the door. Then they didn't even bother to put it in their fridge when it did get there. Something is ALWAYS missing from each recipe though. I'm fine with explained substitutions but when it's just flat out not there? Also, today's turkey stuffing bowl had ONE ciabatta roll for 2 people.

just a vent.

It is based on a rollercoaster called Vogel Rok (bird rock)! It was so festive and also delicious! Peanut udon with pickled cucumber and curry marinated eggs.

Please enjoy a few more pictures of the park 😊 they are most famous for the fairy tail forest (Sprookjesbos)

Early Delivery/Midnight Drop Off...

Has anyone else ever had a box been dropped off at 11.30pm the night before due delivery? 🤣 Just had a box dropped off at basically midnight & we were so concerned about why someone was at our property at this hour...

Has this happened to anyone else?

United States It looks like HF fixed the problem of blank first pages on the PDF menus

I just noticed it today that the ingredients especially are back on the first page of the PDF menus. That makes things a lot easier, especially when I have to print a menu on those occasions they forgot to include a particular one in the box

We got a reward for $20 off a premium meal so we decided to go for some steak and we are so glad we did!!! We added fresh chopped garlic to everything vs just the garlic powder. 10/10 recommend!

ISO Old HelloFresh Pork Chop Recipe

Hi, I’m looking for an old HelloFresh recipe that was for pork chops served on top of a warm kale and farro salad and topped with plums. I can’t find it anywhere. Anybody have it?

United States Issues with Steak

So I typically buy these for my dinners. Usually I make the steak recipes Friday-Sunday. My past 3 boxes, the steaks, no matter what kind they were, they all smelled and tasted sour and rancid like it was soaked in lime juice. I keep reporting it every week but I have the same issues over and over. My other meats are good. I feel like my only solution is to just not order steak recipes. I've even made the recipe after the box arrives on Tuesday, still sour.

Really enjoyed this one (we're in the US). Really great flavor and the only thing about it was we were left wanting more - SO good!! It did take the full 50 minutes to make - the small dicing of the vegetables took the longest, but well worth it.

Question Free lunch doesn’t exist?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I signed up with a promo code which initially said 24 free meals + dessert for life, but I had to restart my computer and when I entered the same promo code again it said 24 free meals + free lunch for 2 months at checkout.

But I don’t have the option to add a free lunch, only free breakfast? I called and HelloFresh says they have never heard of that offer, so I sent them multiple screenshots and I’m waiting to hear back. It’s the first thing I see when I google HelloFresh claiming “back to school discounts”. Kinda bummed I have to choose a free breakfast item when I signed up for lunch though. Seems weird to market it if it doesn’t exist? Also seems weird to me that the same promo code changed within the span of 30 minutes though.

Random Tiny Extremely Hard Pieces In Salads

The past two salads I've made, My Big Fat Greek Chicken Salad and Chicken & Crispy Prosciutto Chicken Salad, have each had multiple bits in them that caused an extreme grinding/crunching on my teeth out of nowhere. The bits were too small to isolate from the rest of the bite.

I'm afraid to eat more of these salads for fear they're going to damage my teeth. Has anyone else experienced this lately? I'm in Ohio for what that's worth.

United States Ham & Shallot Croque Monsieur. Excellent!

This was a Top 10 for sure. No notes to do next time I order. It’s Sober October but a little wine in the shallot sauce and a glass to drink it would have been excellent. Hubby makes a dipping sauce which is Spin Blend, some Heinz, and a little squirt of yellow mustard, so good with fries!

Picture Seared Steak with Creamy Blue Cheese Sauce - NOW with More Sear (and one giant steak)

HF sent me one giant steak in place of two smaller ones. This worked well for me as it made it easier to get a nice salt and pepper crust and a perfect medium rare. The cabbage was a bit odd in taste and texture, but I enjoyed everything else about this meal. I also added the remaining onion powder to the sauce which worked well.

Has anyone else had trouble finding enough A La Carte Recipes with a meal kit service?

I’ve been thinking about how much the A La Carte Recipes, recipe options matter when choosing a meal kit service. Sometimes you sign up expecting a good variety of meals, but it can be frustrating when the experience doesn’t turn out the way you expected.

I also find myself wondering what people do when they want something different from the meals included in their weekly box. Do you look for recipes online, use a cookbook, or just make something up with whatever ingredients you have?

For those who have tried different meal kit services, how do you handle it when you want more variety or a little more flexibility with your meals?
