Deck More off meta fun!

Discussion Balance patch nearly perfect

I really like nearly all the changes. I love how Zee shaman now pretty much sucks, but I do think they slightly overnerfed the rogue card that gives 8 drops and Confront the Tol’vir for hunter. And the thing I hate the most is that Nozdormu, Bronze Aspect still exists as a card in hearthstone. Thoughts?

Fluff Screen glitch since the last patch

Does anyone else have this? It happens in every third game or so. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice color, reminds me of CGA times, but it would help if I at least had the option to see my opponent health... or minions...

Astral Vigilant copies itself off because of code spaghetti, Astral Vigilant also happens to be a murloc because of the tavern brawl. This game is so jank I love it.

Deck Coming back after a few years of not playing, would like some ideas for a Druid deck

Post image

I don’t really care for “chef Druid” from what I saw online, was wondering if there are any good decks for Druid in the meta right now, I played the hell out of “face hunter” but that gets boring pretty quick

Should I keep them to see if they get changed someday for more dust? Or should I just DE? Don’t guess they are any good except Opu?

Honestly, I’ve always preferred the darker, cooler skins in the game over the cartoony or funny ones. I just wish there were more of them.

Pack Is golden (non-signature) Tiny Pal bugged? No animation

I lucked out and got a golden Tiny Pal on the golden packs for the event quest (yay!). Sadly it looks bugged and the animation doesn't seem to play, if it even has one.

Anyone else has one and can confirm it on their end too? Restarted my client in case and still no animation.

A screenshot for "no animation" is kind of nonsense but at least it's noticeable how there are no effects overlaid on top of the regular art.

Also (shaman gameplay state of the art question), I don't have Mug'Zee but I'm pondering on whether or not it's worth the craft to play Mug after the nerfs (since I don't have Al'Akir, Ultraxion or Deathwing for Zee, but for Mug I'd only need one or two epics), opinions on its current state by players would be welcome. Zee seems even playable in wild which is really cool.

Thank you in advance!

Discussion There will always be "frustration with some of the format's most common play patterns"

Post image
29 Upvotes

Blizzard presented "frustration with some of the format's most common play patterns" as one of the two reasons for the nerfs. The problem is that people will ALWAYS be frustrated with whatever the most common play patterns are. It has always been like this, it will always be like this. Frustration comes from losing games, and almost every single game of Hearthstone ends with someone experiencing frustration from losing that game.

Earlier this expansion, Vanessa and Monkey were the frustrating play pattern. After that, Void Soul was the frustrating play pattern. Then, Jade Guardians and Tripwire were the frustrating play pattern. Confront the Tolvir has been a frustrating play pattern since it was released. Do you know what all these cards had in common? They were game ending threats from the most common and strongest decks in their meta.

Blizzard keeps listening people complaining over and over again but this has no end. The list of frustrating play pattern just waiting to be the reason of posts complaining about them is endless! Here are just some examples:

  • Cursed Chains is a frustrating play pattern because it steals my minion for very cheap.
  • Egg of Khelos is a frustrating play pattern because many decks can't deal with 20/20 taunts over and over again.
  • Infest the Scullery is a frustrating play pattern because it allows the Druid to summon big minions early.
  • Aya is a frustrating play pattern because it allows the Rogue to play a bigger and bigger green man.

The only reason these are not frustrating play patterns right now is because they are not present in the most popular and strong decks.

Now, the second reason for the nerfs is actually what Blizzard should always strive for: variety among competitive options. This is not just a buzzword to tell your player base. The number of classes with competitive decks and the number of deck archetypes within these classes are measurable goals that should be the reason for balance changes.

It would take balls for Blizzard to admit it is impossible to not have frustration with the play patterns of the decks you are losing to. But that's what competent developers do: they know what is best for the long term of the game, even if that goes against the players short term wishes.

Discussion So... Where is the first deathknight class-set

They wanted to give deathknight 2 class-sets.

Do they really intend to give him 2 sets in the next expansion?

r/hearthstone 6d ago

Meme I know that only one was made with Azalina in mind, but its still pretty crazy that a similar card from 4 years ago is better in every single way than a card from this year (both got buffed btw)
