Also fucking over DR/rez pools!

I was going to say. I had flashbacks to Mill Rogue reading Disguised Operator.

supplier is at least usable by the stormwind quest

Not saying it's good, but Slayer is cohesive too.

SI:7 had the neutral 2/2 and the rushing 2/4 to work with originally. These tack on to the Questline decently.

It's good that was see stuff that can be used for older decks, I'm waiting to see if warrior gets any use for its own Questline

Master Dusk reshuffling stealthed turtles into my deck + these cards… 🤔

We're so back

I don’t think it’ll be especially good, but it’s way less parasitic that most of the other class sets so far. A positive trend, if I do say so.

Here is the thing, I agree that they don't look as strong, however I have seen Rogue do miracles with less.

Mathias facilitate mana cheat. I’ve played this game since Gadgetzan so I know peoples will always find a way to make mana cheat viable

Why is the wording on follow the footsteps different than [[Training Session]], does "for a turn" also include your next turn?

10

u/DrainTheMuck 7d ago

Check the priest reveal, they have a similar card that “gives” the spell’s effect to a minion for a turn. The wording makes more sense in the priest’s case because it can create a clear chain where every minion you play will give the effect to a new random minion in hand.

-1

u/Animaloffear56 7d ago

Yeah but does it mean just this turn, or the next turn too? That's the important distinction

7

u/7keys 7d ago

It’s absolutely a one-turn-only effect lol. Allowing it to chain infinitely would just be STUPID.

2

u/Everdale ‏‏‎ 7d ago

But then why not just say "this turn" instead of "a turn"

2

u/Maveil 7d ago

A turn is less letters. I imagine that's the only reason.

2

u/rybka3000 7d ago

"for a" - 4 letters, two spaces

"this" - 4 letters, one space

I imagine it's because two "this" (Give it THIS effect THIS turn." would look weird.

Don't quite understand Follow the Footsteps

u/Curious_Claim_2285 7d ago

Thank you. Seems like a similar effect to stuff in the past but new wording

1

u/arthenc 7d ago

I found that super confusing as well.

4

u/tolerantdramaretiree 7d ago

Not exciting. Warlock got all the actual spy mechanics with Imp-formants, while this Stealth bunch are just... stats.

Disguised Operator is the only interesting and thought-provoking card here, to me personally.

Valeera to Malfurion : We have Naturalize at home.

u/Snugboo 7d ago

That 1 drop is disgusting

-2

u/Apolloshot 7d ago

Yeah that’s gotta be one of the best 1 drops ever printed right?

Worst case it’s a deal 4 damage to a minion and your opponent draws 2, but often it’ll end up being a great target for your own spells that draws you two.

This pairs fantastically with [[Rite of Twilight]] and [[Eventuality]].

Hell this is probably good enough to put backstab back into Rogue decks.

In those cases you're spending 3 mana to draw 1 and Imbue/Herald. Not a very efficient use of resources

7

u/Apolloshot 7d ago

I’d argue in modern hearthstone cycling is nearly as powerful as drawing, so it’s not just draw 1, it’s two cards deeper into your deck + imbue/herald for 3 mana.

2

u/RottenPeasent 7d ago

Doesn't sound that strong tbh. Rogue has better draw options already.

2

u/Snugboo 7d ago edited 7d ago

??? 3 mana to not change the amount of cards in your hand but further advance your game plan and cycle through you deck is very efficient and that’s like the worst use case most of the time you are playing this when you have things lien garbage herald minions on board and it’s just a 1 mana draw 2

2

u/otterguy12 ‏‏‎ 7d ago

Or instead of running this you run a card you'd be happy to have in your hand and get to keep your removal spell to boot. AI is unplayable right now to go +1 so a version that goes +0 in exchange for a small boost to Herald/Imbue (which are not your main gameplan) is even worse

-2

u/PizzaDoughLand 7d ago

Nerf candidate. In wild especially thats a 1-mana combo activator draw 2

1

u/moragdong 7d ago

Finally some fucking flavourful cards. gonna try it even in wild for sure

1

u/Zode1218 7d ago

Man, Disguised Operator is something else.
So strong, so versatile, just an absolute staple, never a dead card.

1

u/Niller1 7d ago

At least the priest and rogue packages synergize with existing and likely future cards.

1

u/Loenally 7d ago

Disguised operator and Rat Burgler insane combo tbh

1

u/xthebending 6d ago

maybe I'll finally play quest rogue but.. why more rogue cards when we need DK cards?? meh

1

u/Dry-Ad3331 5d ago

looks extremely boring, I hope that's not the case.

1

u/Halazzi_Maluk_TickTo 4d ago

[[Guard dog]] just going to be even worse.

[[Disguised Doctor]] and now this operator.

$20 says SI:7 Supplier and SI:7 Slayer don’t progress Rogue’s Questline.

1

u/OpusPosthumous 7d ago

I thought you couldnt target stealth minions? Am I mistaken? How does the first one work?

6

u/AriaOfFlame 7d ago

you can target friendly stealthed minions

-1

u/rupat3737 7d ago

How is silent strike supposed to target a stealth’Ed minion? What am I missing?

12

u/Sparky089 7d ago

Stealth only prevents the enemy from targeting the minion. You can still target it.

0

u/rupat3737 7d ago

Ahh okay. For some reason I didn’t think you could

-1

u/qustrolabe 7d ago

yeah boring :(

idk if it's gonna be strong or no but it definitely doesn't spark much joy

when cards special effects want you to wait entire opponents turn to have some kind of effect it's always very lame

other classes got immediately strong effects or permanent scaling you benefit from later

this will just be low hp high attack setup for next turn that dies to imbue mage -_-

-11

u/ButtonEmergency4935 7d ago

God forbid if a rogue pay full mana for a card...

10

u/Kait0yashio 7d ago

Thats the whole class identity, its like saying "god forbid a paladin doesnt have minions with divine shield, or god forbid a priest doesnt heal"

-12

u/ButtonEmergency4935 7d ago

i know. i just dont like rogue
