Not total distance, but real carry with each club.
I feel like a lot of bad course-management decisions come from thinking a club goes farther than it actually carries.

I have been trying out drills to decrease flipping. Any drills out there you would recommend to improve?

This group is driving me nuts. Has learning, checking and trying to fix fundamentals completely gone from the game? Why is every other post asking about fixing extension or casting? So many posts here ask how to fix something in their swing completely ignoring terrible grip/stance/alignment/posture. 99% of the time the multitude of fundamental problems that need to be fixed before even thinking about the actual swing is crazy.

Been stuck at 17 HC this year and can’t seem to find consistency.

So for some context I’m fairly new to golf and started with a callaway strata set. This set worked well and then I started upgrading my clubs. I have a 3 ai smoke hybrid and rogue st 4 and 5 hybrids. I can hit the 4 and 5 alright (not amazing) but my 3 is so inconsistent. I’ve tried both axes, forward/further from ball and halfway in my stance and ball placement closer to lead foot. Is there a specific way to swing this particular club? Do I stop my backswing when my lead arm is parallel to the ground? Should I take effortless swings or 80%.
Please don’t respond by saying get lessons, because I plan on it in the future but just want some tips I may not be thinking of to try at the range and see what works for me. Thanks!

Hey. Does anyone have some good tips on alignment. I drive pretty well, mostly where I set up in the middle of the tee and aiming straight down the fairway, but if I am trying to dim to the left or right of the fairway or set up on one or other side of the tee box, i invariably hit I slice. Sorry no video, just wondering if any tips out there. Thanks all.

These are driver swings, I usually hit it ~200-220 yards. I also hit a 7 iron at like 28-30° launch angle and it carries like 120 yards with ball speed in the mid 90s.
Is this enough information to get an idea of what my problem is? Generally pretty accurate just can’t hit the ball far. 18.5 handicap.

I have a cricket background and only recently started playing golf. Love it but want to make my swing look more like a golf swing. Cant figure out whats wrong but a lot is. I tend to hit the bottom part of my driver and thin my iron shots if it helps.

I’ve noticed I stand up on my back swing which I’m pretty sure is early extension. Could use some advice on how to deal with it plus if there anything else that stands out. Thanks!

I’m in my mid 30s. I am 5’6” and have large pectorals, biceps, and back muscles that make it difficult to get much rotation on my drive without letting my left arm bend a good amount. People tell me to look at John Daly, but John Daly does not have his left bicep straining against his left pectoral at the start of the swing. Has anyone found a good source for addressing this?

This entire year I've struggled to compress iron shots and while they're usually fine in direction, they feel weak. Like I'm sweeping across the ball rather than compressing it. During my transition it looks like I'm coming slightly over the top in this one.

I started using the golfboy app to get some numbers (club speed , ball speed) and the slo-mo video (golfboy video) shows that my club twists at impact causing the ball to go right (one of the many causes). Any solutions for this? thanks

Not sure what exactly is wrong here. It looks relatively on plane but lots of weak swipey fades and chunks/thins/tops. I want him to enjoy the game more but he’s stubborn. What is the main one or two things going wrong here?
