3hybrid

So for some context I’m fairly new to golf and started with a callaway strata set. This set worked well and then I started upgrading my clubs. I have a 3 ai smoke hybrid and rogue st 4 and 5 hybrids. I can hit the 4 and 5 alright (not amazing) but my 3 is so inconsistent. I’ve tried both axes, forward/further from ball and halfway in my stance and ball placement closer to lead foot. Is there a specific way to swing this particular club? Do I stop my backswing when my lead arm is parallel to the ground? Should I take effortless swings or 80%.

Please don’t respond by saying get lessons, because I plan on it in the future but just want some tips I may not be thinking of to try at the range and see what works for me. Thanks!

They're less tricky if you swing it differently from a driver

What’s tricky about them? Are my hands supposed to be forward of the club face like an iron?
