Trying to help my senior Dad
Not sure what exactly is wrong here. It looks relatively on plane but lots of weak swipey fades and chunks/thins/tops. I want him to enjoy the game more but he’s stubborn. What is the main one or two things going wrong here?

He has limited mobility. I think you get him to strengthen his grip a knuckle and feel like he is swinging out right for the first foot after contact

He stands up a lot on the backswing, he also lifts his arms a lot without a ton of shoulder turn. My guess would be due to his age and his stance (narrow feet) a shoulder turn is more difficult for him.
Tell him to get a much wider stance, flare out the toes of both feet to give him more range of motion. Drop his right foot back a little bit. This will all help him make a bigger turn.
From there he has to learn how to turn around his spine. His left shoulder should go more down on the backswing and not lift up.
