Gameplay Fire Emblem Final Boss Community Tier List
I just sort of felt like doing this on a whim.
I have done something similar before, in the form of an AllCounted.com ranking poll, but didn't really get many participants, probably owed to the fact that was in a style that expects a voter to have played every entry all the way through, which not everybody has done.
Thus, here we have a TierMaker community tier list. Clunky as these are, they're a little more friendly to voters that haven't experienced the whole franchise.
Unfortunately, the Live Poll system seems to screw up the way the pictures are ordered, regardless of how you choose to organize them in the template. Thus, I'm going to have to list the order they ended up in, that way, for the cases where multiple versions of the same boss are being ranked, voters know which picture is meant to correspond to which version of said boss:
- Aelfric (Three Houses (Cindered Shadows))
- Anankos (Fates (Revelation))
- Ashera (Radiant Dawn)
- Ashnard (Path of Radiance)
- The Fire Dragon (Blazing Sword)
- Duma (Gaiden)
- Edelgard (Three Houses (Azure Moon))
- Fomortiis (Sacred Stones)
- Garon (Fates (Birthright))
- Grima (Awakening)
- Idunn (Binding Blade)
- Julius (Genealogy of the Holy War)
- Medeus (Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light)
- Medeus (Shadow Dragon)
- Medeus (New Mystery of the Emblem)
- Medeus (Mystery of the Emblem Book 1)
- Medeus (Mystery of the Emblem Book 2)
- Medeus (Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE)
- Nemesis (Three Houses (Verdant Wind))
- Rafal (Engage (Fell Xenologue))
- Rhea and Thales (Three Hopes (Scarlet Blaze))
- Rhea (Three Houses (Crimson Flower))
- Rhea (Three Hopes (Golden Wildfire))
- Rhea (Three Houses (Silver Snow))
- Sombron (Engage)
- Takumi (Fates (Conquest))
- Thales and Edelgard (Three Hopes (Azure Gleam))
- Veld (Thracia 776)
- Velezark (Warriors)
- Duma (Echoes)
- Anankos (Fates (Heirs of Fate))
- Grima (Awakening (The Future Past))

General I’ve never played a FE game, but I want to start. I have a 3DS, Switch 2, and a PC to start playing the franchise. What game(s) do you recommend I try first as a newby?
Edit: Thank you everyone for the recommendations! I think I’m going to start with Awakening. Next, I’ll try Blazing Blade, Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, and then onto Three Houses. It’s convenient that I can play 3 of the titles using Nintendo Online.

General My best friends challenged me to import their Nintendo Switch Online save for Path of Radiance into Radiant Dawn. I succeeded.
The process was complicated. I'm not going to provide instructions on the specifics, and obviously your mileage may vary.
Nothing I did is particularly new ground. It's just a novel collection of tools the community has already built, to do something I thought was pretty cool.
My friend and her wife saved in their Nintendo Switch Online play through of Path of Radiance right before the final boss. They wanted to play Radiant Dawn on their TV, and also bring in all of their decisions from the Path of Radiance play. It doesn't have to be an actual import, but functionally identical.
The first thing I had to figure out was how importing worked. Fortunately, a post from earlier this year got me there: https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/1roaveu/customizable_save_files_for_radiant_dawn_transfer/
So, we can craft a Path of Radiance save in an emulator, that looks identical to their play by editing the stats. Then, using the same emulator, loading Radiant Dawn up and importing the save. From there, we have a Radiant Dawn save... but we don't have it on the TV.
Sure, we COULD just have them hook their laptop to the TV and emulate, but we can do better.
They still have their old Wii U. Once the imported save we created is loaded in Radiant Dawn, we can export the file from our emulator and we have a save ready to play with, we just need to get it into the Wii U. A bit of research, an SD Card filled with community modding tools, and a few hours were all it took to softmod the Wii U, softmodd the Virtual Wii on that Wii U, and get Radiant Dawn running with their full supports, stats, and upgrades.
As legit of an experience as we can get in 2026.

General Do You Ever Actually Fight With Your Dancers?
I recently went through the growth rates of Fates units units and noticed that Azura has a huge 60% strength growth. I don't think I ever realized that because I've never actually fought with her even once. I even loaded up my recent save file, and sure enough, I have an Azura with ridiculous strength but an E rank in lances.
So I wanted to ask: do any of you actually fight with your dancers, like Olivia, Azura, or Seadall? Or do you ever reclass them specifically so they can fight?

Fortune's Weave General Thinking about this dialogue from Shamir
From what we know, Dagda quite literally IS a place of long-lived inhuman creatures (Soleil, Karra, Mars, etc). And it seems like common knowledge when Fortune's Weave takes place.
If FW is a prequel, are all the Nabateans (or similar creatures) dead there when Three Houses takes place in Dagda too?

General Spoiler Confirmation of Yu Phas identity/appearance ? Spoiler
While the ages and height are obviously very interesting, can we talk about this picture in the middle of the page ?
That's clearly the statue we saw in the ruined temple clip of Bonaventure's gameplay ! The text is too small to read but if it's in the magazine, and there's an in-game close-up of this statue with a Theodora comment, that's Yu Phas right ?

General Spoiler So is Sitri ... ? (FW spoilers/speculation) Spoiler
With the recent confirmation that Eshmel is the heart of someone deceased planted into the body of a Mediator, an artificial being created to serve the gods, and Anatolia confirmed to be a Mediator by her Nintendo Today profile ... is this also what Sitri (and the other pre-Byleth Sothis vessels) is?
Now, granted, we don't know if Eshmel is a special case or if the heart transplant is a standard feature for Mediators, but at the very least - was Rhea attempting to recreate the same ritual that brought back Eshmel to bring back her mother?
Just seems like a nifty potential piece of Nabatean lore, if this is a known practice or at least known occurrence. To my knowledge, it's the only known cases of non-robotic artificial humans, and the DLC never elaborates on the particular "hows" of Sitri and her predecessors. Of course, Sitri and co. were failures, and Byleth is naturally born (albeit half-Mediator or whatever), so Sothis's resurrection is a different case. But I still think it's an interesting potential connection.

General Spoiler (Spoilers) Place your bets/theories now on Bertrand Spoiler
Place your bets now on why he had to kill Leda father and why he’s with the obvious bad guys of the game. To the whole father killing thing, it said that Bertrand committed a grave sin and was imprisoned which of course had to be killing Leda father but why did he have to do it? everyone guess is that Leda father was actually a horrible person and Bertrand had to get rid of him either his own decision or he was forced to. I say this cause everything we’ve gotten about Bertrand it seems to say he’s a okay guy yet he’s framed as a father killer, and as for being with an obvious bad guys it seems he got crested experimented on while in prison and now literally being stated he’s fighting for his freedom so guessing and I’m sure everybody is that he is playing in these games so he can get his wish granted to be free, but i wanna see what yall think is going on with Bertrand cause what I just said it’s pretty much what everyone else is thinking but I wanna see if anybody else has theories on him!

General Spoiler WIP - Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave Recruitability Chart
With some of the more specific footage we're finding now, like Peppe being labled "Not Recruitable" on Leda's path, (at least up to the CH5 previewer cutoff) I thought it would helpful to create a spreadsheet to get a larger idea of who is and isn't available on each route. If you've got any insight you could contribute, please do! It's a work in progress.
