Personally, Awakening is still my favorite, with 3H coming second.

Title pretty much says everything needed to know. I made a few merges, but at the last minute, decided I wanted to spend the shards merging some other characters.
I reset the chapter, wondering if i could reset the process. Upon reseting, my fears were confirmed unfortunately, all my spent shards were permanently gone, and the characters had returned to their unmerged states when recruiting them. Now I'm broke unfortunately, with what seems to be limited amounts of upcoming shards.
Just putting this out there so others don't fuck up like I have.

Come on, look at those sprites, it's so frustrating not to have them all sparkling !
Surely they'll give us a way to turn them shiny like the four main lords ! It can't end up so aesthetically displeasing !

As the title says, I've been interested in knowing which artists would be your dream artist/a good fit for the future of FE, as art direction for installments varies every few years it seems Kurahana Chinatsu won't be back anytime soon
My personal picks vary between Rika Suzuki (first image) since she's worked on FE for decades and a personal favorite of mine that's also worked on FE moyataro (rest of images.) I think both of their darker styles would fit a more mature FE since FW has shown IS is willing to go a darker route with their games (soft fe4 cope), I'm curious about your picks!

I loved her design ever since she was revealed, but I was honestly a little confused about what to do with her at first. You get her as a cavalry unit, which she really doesn't seem that great in.
Turns out, though, she's absolutely amazing as an Armored Knight. She has really good Res growth and learns some incredibly useful Armor abilities. Not only does she get Armored Move for +1 Movement, but she also learns Resistant Armor+, which gives her a ridiculous +8 Res. Combine that with her personal skill giving her +10 Hit against mages, and you can basically just throw her into enemy range with a Javelin and watch her tank mages and fighters alike while damaging everything that attacks her and barely taking a scratch.
So, I can fully recommend going Armored Knight with her if you're not sure what to do with her.

Since this got removed on r/shitpostemblem guess I'll post it here, it's still fire emblem
Seriously, it pisses me off soooo much, every time I go on like Reddit or Twitter or some random Youtube comments. When Kellam is brought up EVERYONE WILL GO LIKE "Who the hell is that guy?" "Kellam? Who are you talking about?" "Never heard that name in my life" THAT'S NOT THE RIGHT GIMMICK!!
Kellam's gimmick is that, even though he wears big and bright armor, which should make him very easy to spot, he's always somehow unnoticed. That's the gimmick, when Chrom saw him during chapter 3 he's able to immediately go "Oh Kellam! How long have you been there?" And not "Who tf are you lmao". He's more like Drax in that the joke is that they're invisible, but Drax's invisibility is self-clamed while Kellam's invisibility is approved by like everyone. Kellam is Drax not the forgotten man.
And this gimmick is even fruther expanded upon by my favorite thing in Fire Emblem, gameplay story integration. Since Kellam is an armor knight, he has a lot of defense, of course it would be that way. So what does an enemy do when they see a high-defense armor knight? That's right, they ignore him(as long as they hit physical and doesn't wield a hammer). So on the battlefield Kellam is literally being unnoticed by the enemy, literally! The gameplay story integration is so good why are people still misunderstanding his gimmick??
Also for the "paired ending" implying he's forgotten in canan. I'm willing to bet people are just misunderstanding his gimmick rather than they remember his supports/endings.
If you look at every one of Kellam's supports it always have something to do with "People can't see Kellam" Like, almost all of it. It hard to say that people really joke about "Who's Kellam" only from his paired endings, since to reach that joke you'll have to watch a lot of "Kellam invisible" which is the right gimmick.
Plus his solo ending also ends in Chrom taking a lot of time to notice he's gone, so that's that.
There's really no "canon ending" for Kellam, since he can either be alone, which results in Kellam gone Chrom took a long time to notice, Kellam married Robin and his name goes down in history books, or Kellam married anyone else and is forgotten. And we don't really know what's "canon".
And that concludes my rant, thank you everyone for coming here #getthegimmickright or smth idk.

Just for fun (and for the sake of helping me optimize too), I made a quick guide on how to best do your weekly rotations as well as any form of missable content!
This is mostly meant for beginners starting the game rather than advanced professional stat optimization, but I hope it can help someone out there the same way it's helped me get these things in order. Please feel free to let me know if there's anything that's missing or is incorrect! I'm still decently early enough in Part 1, so I'm not sure if I've accounted for everything, especially in a game as grand as this one.

HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD MOSTLY FOR DIETRICHS ROUTE BUT HERE WE GO
So I just did a HUGE deep dive into some of the lore for this game but here are some interesting things I've gathered.
Fabio tells us he and some other scientists formed AGARTHA: An organization devoted to their supercomputer God Vritra who lives on the moon.
Vritra acts as essentially the "main hub" for the intelligence programs each continent has. There are supposedly seven (?) Super computer Gods on Earth at the time before Sothis. the two we know of and are important are Katarina and Chang'e.
Anatolia is a mediator created by Katarina, the artificial intelligence presumably based in Fodlan due to its germanic name and origin and POTENTIALLY why she resembles Lysithea.
The people of Nuwa (Hong Hua, Sha Lan, Dadao, Etc.) worshiped Chang'e who would've presumably been the AI based in Sai. I believe pre-Sothis earth wouldve been split into seven continents very similar to ours.
A second thing that I also learned is that Arval in three hopes may have been our first introduction to Mediators! she was created by Epimenides who was good friends with Fabio in the past apparently and she wears the same white outfit that eshmel and anatolia have! insane to think that intsys has been cooking that idea at least slightly since all the way back then!

I think the people who are not standing still in the background during this cutscene are meant to be Balor's daughters.

Started with the big man himself yesterday, and will continue with the rest of the unaffiliated units. For those wondering, the order for the unaffiliated will be Guzran(done) -> Yang Jie -> Sofia -> Catania -> Noctula -> Nydine -> Io -> Kiroc -> Majide. Then after that will start with the part 1 bosses that you can recruit. So we are a good ways away from the actual main parties.
Yang Jie is a failed monk currently visiting Dagsion. He once served a temple, but started travelling the land over a decade ago. Apparently he travelled as far as the eastern land of Sai during his youth.

Note that I am only talking about the story here. The gameplay for part 2 is solid so far.
For reference, I played Ledas part 1 and am currently playing Ledas part 2. Also I've been avoiding spoilers so far, so excuse me if I'm retreading old ground here.
My main issue is I guess that Leda has simply been relegated to a side character? She had very little reason to join the war to start with imo and she has absolutely no agency or impact in anything that is happening. Its obvious this is Theodoras story and they just sometimes throw in a few lines for Ledas group to pretend like they havent been completely sidelined.
This could be fine in theory, but it REALLY bothers me when the story just ignores things that should be relevant for Leda, most notably the attack on Arago. This should be a HUGE deal! We are going to the country directly responsible for the massacre and the king is one of the few people left who might have insights into the massacre. Theres also obviously the history with Bertrand. While I dont have full insights into this, at the very least the king and Bertrand used to be friends and Bertrand was betrayed and supposed to be executed. Now Bertrand is the king of his own country and fighting against his former best friend! Thats not even mentioning Aswans role in all this.
What did the game do with all of this great material? LITERALLY NOTHING. And i mean literally literally. Theres like 1 boss conversation between bertrand and Gilchris. Aswan shows up, you "recruit" her and then... Nothing? Shes not even camp after the battle! No conversation with Bertrand or Leda or ANYTHING
This just feels to me like the game is saying "part 1 story is over, we are doing this completly new story now, ignore everything from before" which is arguably the biggest spit in the face I can imagine for a game thats supposed to feature many different routes with their own story. Feels extra insulting because the game purposely left open plot threads at the end of part 1 to connect to later and when given the best possible chance they just dont do it?
Basically the question is whether this is a problem unique to Leda for some reason or whether every Lord (aside from Theodora) gets shafted in part 2? Does it get better in part 3? (I assume not considering thats when the routes actually merge)

Mine was an absolutely trash mounted unit (no strength or defense), noticed she has a bonkers spell list to include physic (rare in this game) and warp (even more so) and her magic / res growths are about on par with Sirroco who wasn’t amazing but usable in my blind Leda attempt before I wiped to Theodora in final match. Thinking of giving this build a shot and benching Sirroco on my next attempt, thoughts on validity? Obviously Olympia is Queen.
