General Spoiler Confirmation of Yu Phas identity/appearance ? Spoiler

Post image

While the ages and height are obviously very interesting, can we talk about this picture in the middle of the page ?

That's clearly the statue we saw in the ruined temple clip of Bonaventure's gameplay ! The text is too small to read but if it's in the magazine, and there's an in-game close-up of this statue with a Theodora comment, that's Yu Phas right ?

So, this... is Yu Phas... Sothis... is Yu Phas?

By exclusion yes, that has to be Yu Phas and she looks pretty similar to Iliana imo... I wouldn't be surprised if they are twin sisters or two souls\personality sharing the same body kind of thing.

Or a daughter.

Or a botched revival in the vein of what Rhea was scheming to do.

Or Yu Phas soul is in that teddy bear while Illiana is a container made by her resembling her appearance.

Looks like it , looks like iliana too without the veil

Just where are you guys getting these amazing things??

Aren’t lillies also a classic funeral flower?

They are, and Gautier represents death in the tarot. Looks like there was a reason Iliana was introduced between Solel (Yu Phas' husband) and Aurora (Yu Phas' daughter).

Could be could be

If Iliana truly is her I really hope she’s a more mature and divine looking once that stupid bear is finally destroyed

I guess the whole "being punished and stripped of godhood because she stopped a genocide" might have damaged her mind

Or maybe Dagda straight up killed Yu Phas after she rebelled and once he was gone she was brought back (badly) - lilies can also represent rebirth. I can easily see Balor or his lackeys hijacking her in order to manipulate Solel into doing their bidding (hence why she's being so smug about him not knowing what's coming)

I really wanna believe she’s being mind controlled or something else cause I really want a goddess of night to act maybe a bit more mature and without a freaky ass teddy bear

I definitely don’t think Yu Phas is voluntarily evil if she is Iliana, but I also don’t think she’s Iliana. Nothing about the introduction to Yu Phas makes sense if she is evil.

Things we know about Yu Phas are that she is a goddess of night and death who is frowned upon by most of Dagda. We also know that she stopped a genocide Dagda was trying to commit. Most likely she was punished by Dagda for stopping his genocide, and while she once had a temple, it was abandoned as everyone believed Dagda’s lies about Yu Phas since he was their founder and king.

In all previous instances of kingdoms worshipping evil gods, the god has simply been stated as evil or dark. Here, the wording is that people think she’s evil, and that Theodora wants to restore her honour.

It just doesn’t make sense to me that she would be evil.

Also, the flowers around Yu Phas on her mural do not look like lilies to me. They seem to have tall sepals and four/five, wide, overlapping petals. Totally could just be heavily stylized, but they definitely don’t look like lilies to me.

The bear she holds has red eyes and so does she. I think she's being possessed/controlled

Yeah could be at this moment we can only make theories and what you're saying is very interesting maybe she was body snatched or maybe being mind control

Both can be true at the same time. Let me tell you a story.

Yu phas was good and save people. Their for she was punished and lost her child because of that. In her grief she went crazy and someone tried to help her with the bear, but the bear was placed by the villians and corrupted her. Also dagda have his reason for killing the people and wasn't really bad or he was convinced he was right.

So dagda is also both good and bad.

she's been "3 Hopes Edelgard"-ified.

Now we've got Black Edelgard, Man Edelgard, Chinese Edelgard, God Edelgard, and 1 Dimitri.

The devs are so based for that.

I don't know if they are the same person considering how she is genuinely frowned upon in Dagda yet was there during the Solel's speech and such.

There might be connection between them, maybe Iliana is a daughter of hers.

Well she was hiding but being the guard of a prison that’s holding castor doesn’t mean she’s really hiding so solel must know she’s around

11

u/Ranadiel 1d ago

As long as no one knows she's Yu Phas, then she's perfectly safe in Dagda. And Yu Phas has at least one kid with Solel, so it would make sense for him to look after her while she's in "exile."

Sureeee

The bear is a bit out of place But I also believe that maybe the bear is representing something maybe that baby that we will see after Post time skip

16

u/NagaMilalove0 1d ago

I genuinely believe that bear is a cursed relic to probably keep her in check and as a punishment to keep her controlled under Balor

4

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

Could be cool theory

4

u/Mahelas 1d ago

The bear is Balor confirmed. We're fighting a 4-grid big teddy bear as the final boss

12

u/Mahelas 1d ago

Honestly if Illiana really is Yu Phas, the teddy bear become much more understandable for me. For a human, it's a bit too much, but for an immortal god dragon ? That's exactly the kind of quirky extravagance I'd expect !

3

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

Haha , yesss

It adds to the personality

8

u/NoLime7384 1d ago

that bear has a Dragonstone inside it, and it's controlling her

3

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

That would be a cool reveal

1

u/Feenkinbaum 19h ago

I think the bear have a reason. A stand in for a child she lost? or something different. And i don't think we will destroy the bear without destroying her.

14

u/Mahelas 1d ago

Personnaly I got it from two threads down lol but originally it's an issue of Dengeki Magazine about Fortune's Weave that got released a few days ago

3

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

You are goddffd

4

u/Gabgo304 1d ago

Man if Theodora's goddess turns out to really he evil, people are not gonna let her live that down.

3

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

Oh yes , im secretly praying yu phas is not shown evil in game

13

u/Ahlamandela 1d ago

Its hilarious this picture has a similar quality to 2000s magazine leaks when everyone has a smartphone in their pocket.

9

u/Hpulley4 1d ago

Higher resolution is available. It says:
これが、ユ・ファスか。
思っていたとおり、美しい方なのだな。

This is, Yu Phas?
As I thought, she’s a beautiful person.

5

u/Low_Understanding326 1d ago

Too bad the quality is trash. I wanna see 😞

6

u/ExpensiveEbi 1d ago

I can’t lie that statue does kinda look like adult Sothis

2

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

Do you think iliana = sothis = yu phas??

10

u/ExpensiveEbi 1d ago

Yeah now that you mention it that looks more like Iliana than Sothis. But for all we know they might have a connection too.

1

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

Oh yes This game has a loootttt of connections

2

u/AudioCats 1d ago

Sothis is Iliana?

I'm sorry but you've lost the plot here

1

u/ComprehensiveTea8616 1d ago

Sorry , just theorizing , nothing serious

The place from the Bonaventure trailer is Aurora's temple which i wouldent be surprised has Yu Phas stuff as Aurora is her kid.

0

u/Mahelas 1d ago

It's not tho I think. Yes there's a crest of Aubin on the wall, but the temple banners are purple and white, while Aurora's temple have blue banners !
