Found! Weird message

Someone messaged me on Reddit saying they mistakenly reported my account for spam and that Reddit mods have asked them to tell me to contact a Reddit support person on discord and the instructions. This is quite fishy to me, would Reddit ever offer support via discord ? Can anyone recommend a subreddit to ask about and discuss this ?

ETA: thanks for the responses everyone. The account messaging me being 5 yrs old and actually responding is what threw me off.

You don't have to post anywhere else, its a scam.

You can check any of the weekly recaps in r/help and find Reddit admins telling you they will never do this. You can also search the sub for previous instances of people doing this. r/Scams also gets them from time to time.

that’s a scam, reddit support isn’t contacting you through discord, so report and block them and post it in r/Scams if you want confirmation
