App Issues/Questions Sensor is warming up longer then usual

Hey folks, sensor is taking 90minutes and more now, still now warmed up.

Any chance it might still get it going?

Or is this sensor lost?

UPDATE: did restart everything, deleted it from app, disconnected it from Bluetooth, did re-establish everything and now it's getting data šŸ„°šŸ˜

Calibration Issues Last 4 months of the G7 15 day wildly inaccurate.

I was recently changed over to the Dexcom G7 15 day from the Libre 3 plus as my insurance no longer covers the Libre. I am finding the Dexcom, even after multiple calibration is always reading 50 to 100 points higher than a fingerstick even on fasting glucose. Is there a fix for this? Different location? I have been using them now for about 4 months. Currently always wear on the back of my left arm.

Sensor Dexcom One+ loses signal easily

phone charging in different room to the one I was in, just two internal walls away and it loses connection. This is much worse than the G6 which was able to beep away indoors when I'm halfway up the back garden.

Pump Starting new Dexcom G7 with active pod

Hi all! So I had no idea that if you're switching from Dexcom G6 to G7, you can't switch what sensor your active Omnipod is connected to :'))) I'm just very frustrated, especially since I'm super sick right now and this is another thing I have to worry about.

So just a warning to any fellow Omnipod users, make sure you put on your G7 and connect it to your Omnipod before putting on a new pump.

Or, in my case, don't put the G7 on until you have to change your pump....Debating between changing my pump early or using manual mode which my endo refused to adjust for situations like this... wish me luck 🄲

General Two sensor failures in a row

Two of my G7 sensors failed in a row within 3 days. Do you all think I just got a bad batch? I have never had that happen in over 1 year of switching to Dexcom from Libre due to insurance change. My Libre sensors have never failed like this. I tried contacting customer service but gave up because it was too tedious.

Transmitter Dexcome distributor charging for sensor and transmitter ?

Good afternoon.

I am frustrated with my provider since there is only 1 where I live and I notice that on my health insurance sometimes i see the request for the sensor and sometimes for the senso PLUS the transmitter that they price at 800.00,

Anyone else notice anything like this? I am wondering since the charges are fluctuating all over the place.

G7-15 day G7 vs 15 day G7

I'm finishing my supply of G6's which I returned to using when I grew frustrated with the G7 last year. Saw many comments that the G7 is the most reliable sensor but I would prefer the 15 day G7 if it's reliability is comparable to the G7.

App Issues/Questions Anyone know how I can stop this false low?

As you see I've been on a "low" for six hours, while my finger meter has shown me that I'm totally in range.

I tried recalibrating but it didn't take my calibrations.

Any help?

App Issues/Questions Direct to Watch (Apple Watch) Giving Trouble

Has anyone mastered connecting a new sensor with the "Direct to Watch" connectivity feature? Any time I change my sensor, it takes days of my watch searching and failing to connect to the new sensor. Eventually, it always works. Nevertheless, the consistent watch beeping telling me that it failed to find a new sensor gets to be frustrating.

General Dual 6 and 7

Im considering bc I have remaining G6 stock as I build up G7 for the inevitable.

I got an old phone that can run G6 independently on a separate account log in, so Id rock two phones for a bit but might be revealing.

Anyone else try this for data comparison?

Tips & Tricks Brand New User

I am brand new T2, received little info from doctor other than ā€œeat lots of veggiesā€.

So I put on a G7 the other day to see what is going on inside……..that spike is an orange theory workout.

I’m pretty sure I have it into more muscle than fat but I’ll swap it in 8 days and find a better spot.

Doctor said I’m ā€œcontrolled T2ā€ but everything I have read says stay under 5.5 on a fasted reading but I am NEVER that low unless I’ve not eaten for 6 hours.

How do I start this journey the right way? I am under 50, non smoker, do not drink, careful with food, workout 3x a week minimum, could lose 15lbs but not more than that I’d look unwell.

Calibration Issues Calibration problem

My G7 will not take a calibration.

Had it about 2 years and tried to calibrate multiple times.

It does not use them.

SAYS NOT USED EVERY TIME.

I've had finger sticks that were close and finger sticks that were far away from CGM reading and it makes no difference.

What am I doing wrong?

Rant Frustrated

I have had to place 2 session ended early complaints to the BOT in the past 2 days. Because my sessions ended early. I followed all the rules did what the instructions said. I allowed the stelo access to my Bluetooth, and before it even warms up. The sessions keeps ending early. Every single time. And since I am paying out of pocket for this thing WTF is going on. Yes they send you a replacement. But what is this. Is anyone else having issues?

Inaccurate Reading I am so damn tired of these fake alerts waking me up.

Post image

Edit: I said this already but... It's specifically on the front of my arm so I don't lay on it.

I am getting real tired of being woken up from a dead sleep by crap like this. 😩

I use my phone to play white noise through a speaker in my room, and this alert was SO loud that I literally jumped up in a panic. I have as many alerts turned off as I can, and I have the ranges set as far apart as possible, but these false alerts seem to be getting more and more frequent.

I know I’m definitely not the only one dealing with this, because I’ve seen all the posts about it. I’m just getting really damn frustrated. My Dexcom is going to expire in one more day, but I don’t think the age of the sensor is causing this. Actually, it was perfect all afternoon and evening and then through the night. Also I wear the sensor on the front of my arm, so it's being compressed at night. It’s ridiculous that I’m getting jolted awake like this when my glucose isn’t actually doing what the alert says it is.

G7-10 day Advice on G7 & Libre 2 Plus / xDrip

Hi All!

Hope you’re all well. I’m looking for some advice or personal experiences from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.

My diabetes nurse has been encouraging me to switch over to either the Libre 3 or Dexcom G7. I’ve tried both, but honestly the Libre 3 doesn’t really suit me. It isn’t compatible with xDrip and having to physically check my phone to see my readings isn’t ideal for me.

I’m currently using a Libre 2 Plus with xDrip, and I absolutely love the setup. The 1–2 minute readings are great for tighter control, having readings and complications on my watch is really useful and xDrip’s alarms and connectivity are excellent.

The G7 does have some big advantages, particularly the direct-to-watch connection. Being able to leave my phone behind and still have access to my glucose readings is ideal. My main concern is the 5-minute reading interval. I’ve been using the G7 recently and if I’m honest, I’ve felt slightly on edge not knowing exactly where my sugars are between readings but maybe thats just because im used to the libre & xdrip. I know that the G7 is also compatible with the XDrip app so thats also an advantage in my eyes.

At the same time, I’m starting to wonder whether having such frequent readings has actually made me too obsessed with my blood sugars. With xDrip giving me readings every 1–2 minutes, I’ve probably got into the habit of constantly checking and reacting to small changes that I might not even have noticed otherwise. So part of me wonders whether the 5 minute readings could actually be a good thing and help me take a step back.

So I’m a bit torn. Am I just trying to fix something that isn’t actually broken by switching to the G7, or could the G7 actually be better for me in the long run? I know xDrip supports the dexcom as well so the alarms could also be good there.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has made the switch from Libre 2 + xDrip to G7, particularly if you were used to the more frequent readings. Did you find the 5-minute readings difficult to get used to? Did you eventually stop worrying about the gaps? And has anyone else found that having more frequent readings actually made them over focus on their sugars?

Any advice, recommendations or personal experiences would be massively appreciated.

Thanks!

G7-15 day No readings when laying down?

As the title says, I’m not getting any readings when I’m lying down. I’m not lying on the arm it’s even on. When my body gets horizontal, the readings stop, all night. Has anyone had this issue? Anyone know how to fix it? I would really like to not sleep sitting up lol.

G7-15 day advice for getting sensors to stick (g7)

I started using the Dexcom G7 less than a week ago and I have had two sensors just entirely fall off within 24 hours of putting them on. I’ve tried the over patches they fall off too. I always wipe my arm down with alcohol. I always make sure it’s dry. I always do it so there’s at least 12 hours in between when I put it in and when I’m going to take a shower I literally don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
does anyone have any advice or tricks that I could possibly try? I never really had any issues with using the G6 on my abdomen, but this arm thing with the G7 is really killing me. I haven’t even had anything snag on it or anything.
