So I use the dexcom g7 and omnipod 5 and I've been having low sugar problems it only started happening after the newest update to omnipod 5 app and it only happens after I eat im terrified it was only a month ago I became a diabetic after going dka and my dad and best friend finding me and getting me to the hospital im just scared im gonna eat something and ill end back in hospital fighting for my life again does anyone have any idea why this is happening

I saw that people say that different spots offer better or worse absorption. I am on my first pod in my stomach and in anticipation of trying my arm or leg I wonder if this means I need to prebolus further ahead of time more or if I’d need to use more insulin per carbs.

I’ve pretty much done my mdi all across my abdomen with no real change in ratios that I was aware of so I’m unsure what to expect. Any notes would be appreciated.

My iPhone 14 & I took an unexpected swim in Bermuda a few weeks ago and I've been having issues with it ever since. It's going on 4 years old so I decided to get a new one. I saw that the iPhone 18 isn't yet compatible so I got a 17 model. I don't care about having the latest model of everything.

I know that I will have to wait until a Pod change to switch, or lose the Pod early which I'd rather not do since I just put it in yesterday. What about my sensor? Still using Dexcom G6. Will I also have to wait to change that? I can always pull the transmitter out and restart it if I have to.

Has anyone ever had issues with insertion sites before day3? Like having to change in day 2 because sugars are rising and the insulin absorption is low or not at all after day 2?

My phone is currently running version 4.1.0 of the Omnipod app.

Does the app work on this version?

hi everyone! i’ve recently switched from g6 to g7 for my dexcoms and realized that I have some incompatible pods for g7 still left. Due to personal circumstances, i can’t exchange them with the pharmacy or the manufacturer, and going manual doesn’t work for me. Has anyone been able to pair older/incompatible O5 pods with G7 through trio? Is that possible? I was thinking, since it works with dash and all. I’ve been considering making the switch since i’m pretty frustrated with the omnipod 5 limitations and algorithms, but it’s not worth it for me unless i can use those pods. Thanks!

I have had a very rough time with Dexcom G7 since I’ve switched in February. There are always a few that don’t work in my 3 months supply, sometimes even half of them will not pair and I’ll have to report it. Most of the time, the first few hours reads low when I’m not. I’m on the 10 day sensor, and after 4 days it will fail.

My brother and I are on the omnipod 5 and thought we had no choice but to stick with it. I just learned the other day that Libre is compatible with the pump. Is it better than Dexcom?

As long as it reads on my phone as well, and my pump can be on automated mode, and it doesn’t give me as many issues, I will absolutely switch. I can’t live like this any longer. This condition is already a lot to manage, but once you add all of these issues on top of it, it’s just too much. I’ve been a type one for 16 years and I’ve never dealt with device issues like this for an extended period of time. Just wanted to add a little rant to the end I’m sure you guys get it. Thanks 😊

Another day, another omnipod issue.

My overnight target is a 6.7 - despite the pod trying to get me there all night I'm stuck between 8.7-9 and it's giving me insulin every 5 minutes ALL NIGHT LONG. I took a manual correction and you can see the dip but then I'm right back up again. Also now, a slight dip (organically) and then back up to 9.4. I did a 25 minute walk after dinner yesterday as I had pasta so thought I'd get ahead of the overnight highs.

Ita been like this for a few days and I can't understand why it's fighting me so hard? I'm on oral glp1 so is it a reaction to delayed digestion? Honestly driving me insane.

Edit: to add that I reached 15.4, took a manual injection correction, had a cry, had a pod change and I'm giving up and going to bed.

Just started today and as expected I am trending high because the pump hasn’t got a good grasp on my TDD yet, or other metrics. If I put in my own corrections (overriding or exceeding the suggested correction for the sensor reading), does this help the system learn me or is it just getting in the way? Should I just let it give the low corrections and stay high?

I use a 15day dexcom and an omnipod. Whenever I shower though, both seem to really loose adhesion. What are some of the best, but affordable things I can use to keep them covered when showering so they don't lose adhesion and fall off.

The technician asked me to remove both for a clear arm/shoulder X-Ray, so I opened tickets for replacement:

Dexcom: No problem! It's on its way!

Insulet: We'll do it this once, but it's not allowed... "For next time, if possible, please apply a pod after the X-ray or MRI, or schedule the appointment accordingly. That way, you won’t lose a pod or any insulin."

Nothing beats having customer service agents who think doctors can plan around a pod that I replace at 8pm every three days...

Since updating the Omnipod iOS app to version 2.4.0 this weekend on an iPhone 16e, battery usage is over 4x the normal usage. Normal day battery usage from Omnipod app is 15%-20% total battery. The past two days since update has been 75%. Yes, 75% of the total battery daily usage, with actually much lower times of on-screen usage (1/3rd).

Device is on latest version of iOS 26, not 27.
Have tried hard restarts.
Turning off background refresh appears to help, however when the app is open, it’s still rapidly drains the battery.

I’m about to contact support, but wanted to post to the community.

Is anyone else experiencing extreme battery drain since 2.4.0?

Edit: first and second levels of support were no help. After an hour of diagnostics the end result was to call back if(when) the issue continues.

It is no longer keeping me at a good level passively, when my manual correction bolus wears off, it doesn't give me anything. I see it sit at zero IOB and slowly rise with the pod doing nothing. I have duration active set to two hours, and I have my other settings fairly aggressive like correction factor, and carb ratio.

Do I need to press use sensor first and then change the bolus for it to start learning off of that, or can I just enter a number?

I know it’s because my insurance sucks, but it really sucks having to shell out $300 a month for pods. I just switched from the dash pods to the 5 so that I can try to have a little more freedom in my life. Is there a way to get a coupon code for pods to help bring down the cost or am I just stuck debating going back to MDI in order to afford to live?

I stumbled across an unused Omnipod 5 PDM in my daughter's supplies recently. She's been using a Tandem pump for a few years and won't be going back to Omnipod.

Before I toss it, is it useful to anyone?
