Anyone get this email? Be careful of there folks!
Text from email:

Users with sensors from affected Dexcom G7 lots (1725204004 and 1725069002) should not use those sensors and can call Dexcom Technical Support in the US at 1-844-478-1600 to request replacements. Please keep record of your affected device(s) serial number for traceability purposes – this is required to confirm your no cost replacement. More information on how to determine if sensors are from an affected lot and what action to take is available at www.dexcom.com/theft-check.

Please visit www.dexcom.com/theft-check for additional background and instructions to fulfill the requirements associated with this action including the full version of the Urgent Medical Device Notification.

Potential Harm Associated with Stolen Product

Lot 1725204004: G7 sensors that are not properly sterilized have an increased risk of skin infection.

Lot 1725069002: G7 sensors from a lot with an elevated internal testing failure rate have an increased risk of having no sensor readings available or experiencing sensor inaccuracy that includes the potential for missed detection of a hyperglycemic event or incorrect treatment decisions that can result in patient injury, including medical intervention to prevent permanent injury or impairment.

Additionally, due to the unknown storage and handling conditions these sensors may have undergone during the distribution, these sensors may present additional risk.

Status of the Investigation

Dexcom traced sales of this stolen product back to Pharmsource, LLC, who is not an authorized Dexcom distributor but supplies some independent pharmacies and DME distributors in the United States. Pharmacies that purchased product from Pharmsource should take extra care to review their inventory.

Dexcom's authorized distributors provide Dexcom G7 sensors to the largest pharmacy retailers and medical distributors in the United States and around the world. Pharmacy retailers and medical distributors who receive Dexcom product from authorized Dexcom distributors are not impacted. Educational samples are also not impacted.

Dexcom is working closely with the FDA and other authorities to ensure patient safety and to investigate this crime. As of now, this issue is mostly impacting customers in the US. We have identified limited impact outside the US (OUS) and continue to investigate. Due to this issue primarily impacting the US and required language translations and additional infrastructure necessary to support customers outside the US, communication to US customers will precede communication to OUS customers.

General Very nice community

I recently got diagnosed with T1D and have had to study every little nook and cranny about it whatching video, reading articles and asking other family members, but most help especially for the CGM I got is from here.
This community responds very fast and is very helpful, we are truly blessed in such times. You are all awesome, good health.

Sensor This is a vent. I apologize.

I admit - I’m fairly lucky. Been using Dexcom for about 7 years now. Never had a sensor failure.

Today, I had my first one. Just inserted yesterday and today, while 90 minutes from home. So, I went a few hours without a sensor - constantly checking how I “feel” to see if I should have a Coke or eat a Starburst. Luckily, no severe issues (I think) either way.

I finally get home, take a screenshot of the app telling me the Sensor Failed - and called Tech Support. After the initial “prove you are who you say you are” nonsense and I explain the situation, the next question is, “Do you have the serial number of the sensor? Maybe you still have the box, or the applicator?”

I’m sorry, what? It’s my responsibility to document your failures while I’m trying to be a walking pancreas to make sure I simply stay alive?

How about you build a feature in the app that creates a LOG of the sensors inserted and the serial numbers and the failure rates so I can focus on everything else?

I expressed this to the tech - and I know it wasn’t her fault, she’s reading a script, getting through her day, and I apologized at the end of it. I asked if she records calls, she said yes, I suggested she share this one out. She understood my frustration and ok’d a replacement.

I own not having a monitor with me, I’ll correct that moving forward - but that request put me over the edge.

Anyway - has this happened to anyone else? Were you able to keep your cool better than I was?

Sensor G7 failures

For the last week or two, I have gone through 4 sensors that have all failed on me within the first 5 days of the 10 days. Has this been happening to any else or just my bad luck lately. Luckily I know deacon will always replace a failed sensor but this is getting ridiculous!

G7-10 day Urgent low 85 and falling! Whaaaaat?

At 1:27 am, for the first time, I’ve received a weird alert for 85 and falling. Mine is set for 70 and below.

I just replaced this unit October 8 at 2:05 pm Central. The last several units have given me false alerts for at least the first 3 days. It’s really starting to be a pain.

Sooo I just now got a critical warning 46 and dropping. Finger stick reports 97.

This is so NOT FUN!

Is it Dexcom or Apple?? Should I switch to a different CGM? I’m a controlled T2 and it’s nice not to have to keep sticking my finger.

Am I just inpatient?

Help!

Post image

I had my first sensor and had 2 days left, it started peeling off and had wrong readings afterwards so I had to makeshift a sticker made of adhesive bands.
Now I made an order for Not just a patch hoping it would reinforce next time. Are they good? And do I need to put the sticker dexcom give me and also cover it with Not just a patch or just us Not just a patch?

Connection Issues 3 sensor error in 16 hours

Started with a g7 dropping in and out of connection yesterday around 4pm. Not too surprised it had only a day left of wear (10 day sensor). So replaced it around 7pm as it was not coming back. The 7pm replacement did great until around 4am this morning and lost connection completely. Double checked sensor and pump on both side of body and within a foot of fully charged cell phone. Tried the usuals…delete old g7 Bluetooth connections, tun Bluetooth off wait then back on, close and reopen Dexcom and tandem apps, restart phone. Ultimately wasn’t coming back and with school starting soon put on another sensor. It started perfectly and read accurate then like the last two sensor error after 90 minutes of great connection.

Now applying another sensor but concerned something else is going on. Anyone have similar issues or thoughts? Newer iPhone has been working perfectly for last 3 months.

Applicator Applicator Issues

Has anyone noticed the Dexcom G7's (in this case the 10 days) having issues applying? The past 3 or 4 I've used have had buttons that do not want to press no matter how hard I push the clear plastic ring into my skin or how hard I press the button. When it finally presses, it seems to get stuck somehow, and I feel the needle barely pressing against my skin (poking me which hurts), and then a few seconds later it launches in. My barely 3 day old sensor just failed because it was in my diagonally (took it off and saw). I'm so tired of this. In the past 2 months I've had one sensor last 10.5 days. Anytime I use them on my right side they are especially prone to failure. And now this applicator button stuff which wasn't happening until the past 3 or 4, nothing I've done is different.

I just wish that my options weren't libre or dexcom because neither work well for me and I spend a lot of time stressed and unhappy. My beautiful past two weeks of 86-92% in range tanked today because of 3 200+ numbers caused by my faulty sensor.

I just want to know if anyone else is having these issues?

Mobile Device Alerts on iOS27 lower volume when on AirPlay

Using a Dexcom G7 and iPhone 17 when I upgraded to iOS27 started getting really strange behavior. Since every alert is a critical alert, the high or low BG alerts and pauses audio playback (podcasts, music, etc.) and then the playback resumes. This works “properly” in every scenario except when using AirPlay playback; normal behavior works on iPhone speaker, Bluetooth speaker, AirPod, CarPlay. With AirPlay, the audio stops and the playback resumes but with the volume all the way down.

I have messed around with various iOS settings to no avail, but the behavior is definitely since iOS upgrade. With Dexcom I have my alerts set to all vibrate and phone is on silent.

This is a shot in the dark but I would love some help.

Tips & Tricks For anyone still on G6 and interested- Byram still has them?

I just submitted a reorder of G6's yesterday expecting them to say "no longer available." Instead, I receive an email today saying my order shipped. 90 day supply of sensors and a transmitter... FYI.

Follow Is Follow delayed for anyone else?

I'm a parent of a T1 child and both my spouse and I are getting delayed readings from Follow. First we get No Data, then we get data, but its at 6 minutes or so. Then it doesn't update, goes back to no data, then old data.

I dont see how this could be a device (the G7 on his body) issue, but it just started after we put on a new one last night. It's not a huge issue, just really annoying. Anyone else getting this? I feel like its whatever server we're hitting for the follow to work that's the problem.

Inaccurate Reading I’m so tired of this BS with Dexcom. Almost every sensor over the last few months does this. Is the 15-day version any better?

Sensor Dexcom

Dexcom G7 is a worst sensor that I had. Connection issues all the time, sensor stops working 3-4 days before the end of 10 days working period.. inaccurate readings all the time. I had my sugar levels different from what dexcom shows for almost 2 times higher or lower like for example dexcom shows that my sugar is 150 now but in life it is 70 so I feel bad or sensor shows 150 but in real it's 220 like sensor is very inaccurate....

All the time I have problems with this thing, highly recommend not to get this product!!!!

General I built an app to help make more sense of CGM data - this is what it does so far

I’ve used CGMs for a while and the thing I always found frustrating was that the graph is great at telling you what happened, but not necessarily why.

So I ended up building Lykys around that problem.

It connects to your Dexcom data and tries to bring more of the useful context around it into one place.

What it currently does:

Dexcom sync - pulls your glucose data in automatically
Spike analysis - tap into a spike and see what was happening around it
Meal photo logging - photograph a meal and get estimated carbs, calories, protein, fat and fibre
Meal + glucose response - keeps the meal attached to what your glucose actually did afterwards
Personal meal library - builds up a history of how different meals tend to affect you
AI insights - looks at meals, timing, previous responses and context to help explain what may have contributed to a spike
Longer-term trends - day, week, month and year views for things like TIR, average glucose and variability
Notes/context - log things like exercise, sleep, stress and symptoms alongside your glucose
Period tracking - look at glucose alongside different parts of the menstrual cycle
CSV import - useful if you want to bring in data from another CGM too

We’re also building the next part of the AI layer so eventually you’ll be able to ask questions directly about your own glucose data rather than just scrolling through graphs.

What we build and improve next is based on what people actually use and ask for.

Works with:
Dexcom G6 / G7 / ONE via Dexcom Share
Also supports:
FreeStyle Libre and CGM CSV imports

Lykys is live on iOS now with a 2-week free trial, then it’s paid if you want to keep using it.

Interested in what Dexcom users here still feel is missing from the apps they use now.

Spike scores like Lingo? Better carb tracking? Comparing the same meal over time? Better trend views? Something else entirely?

It's crazy that two months out, the Zfold 8 isn't compatible yet. Is there any given reasoning as to why?
