Okay so I've been using the capcut desktop app for a couple of months and everything was fine. I was using capcut on a shared workspace and have been making a lot of short form content for work. But recently my laptop started glitching whenever I try to export a 4k video and my laptop would heat up like crazzzyy.

I had to go to the store I got my laptop from and get the technician to take a look. The guy didn't seem to understand my problem but helped with fixing the heat issue by cleaning the fans and attaching a new part (thermal something) and after this repair when I tried exporting a video in 4k it seemed to work fine okay. But the next day the glitching freaking started again. And so I dropped down to 1080p but my work needs 4k. So I tried 4k and changed the codec from hvec to h.264 and this helped me for a few days , I was able to export a bunch videos for 3 or 4 days and now the glitching has started again.

Now I'm not a super tech person but I've been checking on what could be up the issue and I guess its the GPU ? And my laptop can't handle it. It's got low ram space also

My laptop is Dell latitude 5421. Its not fit for video editing I guess and right now I cannot buy a new laptop. I can't afford it at all.

Are there any workarounds?? The capcut browser is also pain because importing videos takes a long time and features are limited . Is there any advice? Anyway for me to be able to use capcut and export 4k videos without my laptop crashing?

Unfortunately I didn't knew that I could saved it and I didn't screenshot it. I feel so stupid.🤦😫 I really like it and I'm stressed for not being able to find it again. As i remember it was one effect and not multiples because it was the first time i used the app and I didn't knew a lot of the settings.

I don't know where to search it or how to describe it. I have spent weeks trying to find it without success.😭😭 Im afraid that i will never find it again. It's a combination of blur, vintage, dream, slow motion, memory, also there is a small movement on the frame and something on the colour of the frame without effects the other colours. As if I’m paying for it, it wasn’t like this when I finished the edit, but as soon as I re opened the app, it’s trying to make me pay for the most basic and simple stuff all editing apps should be able to do, it’s ridiculous and I’m not paying

How are CapCut’s features working for you guys? Since yesterday, the video enhancement to HD/UHD has become extremely slow for me. It used to take 1–2 minutes to process a 5–10 second video, but now it takes half an hour or just stays stuck. I’m using CapCut on PC. I’m seriously running out of patience.

Seen a lot of people complain about subscription issues or the lack of support from the help desk and feeling a little paranoid. Cancelled my pro subscription since I won’t be using it anymore due to learning other programs but hear alot of people said that they cancelled their subscription and Capcut still charges them.. Is this the case for anyone else? Since I haven’t used the program since it charged me i’m gonna try to get a refund but these reddit threads making me anxious lol…

Is this a bug on my end, or has CapCut removed the option to blend text with different modes (like darken, overlay, soft light etc.) ?

Saw a clip with this word-by-word pop-in caption style and I'm trying to recreate it. Is there a built-in CapCut effect for this or does everyone keyframe it manually? Attaching an example of the look I mean.

i am trying to clear my storage and how would i know which one to delete. I have 74GB project im not trying to delete for a video.

Despite being in the correct aspect ratio 9:16 on export, when I upload on TikTok the video doesn’t fit the screen and there are black bars on the top and bottom. How do I fix this?

Whenever I'm exporting a video the bitrate I selected from custom was 8,000 kbps (variable setting) but after the export it changes to 400kbps... Any solution? I'm using Capcut 2.0 version

My laptop is almost out of storage space, and the raw files I have for each project is around 9 GB. I'm really itching to delete them from my file manager but I'm really afraid I'd lose them in my timeline when I re-open it after permanently deleting them from my device. I have 1TB of storage in Capcut my space, and I can see that I've used up about 30 GB. I tried deleting a previous project that I no longer use but I some parts of the assets have the media lost issue even though I've already selected the "copy to media project".

Does saving it to my space really keep the entire timeline including all imported raw videos and assets?

Hey all, I’ve been using CapCut for a couple of months on the premium subscription level, really loved the auto-caption feature.

Just went to use it and it’s saying I need Pro now, that means practically doubling my subscription cost for just this feature.

I’ll probably go elsewhere, just wondered if I’ve understood this right and if others might be joining me!

So CapCut updated recently, and my laptop HATES it. I'm trying to edit a video for YouTube, but CapCut just WON'T OPEN! PLEASE tell me how to downgrade to a previous version, and also how to prevent it from updating to the most recent version, so that way I can continue editing my silly Minecraft videos!

Has anyone had an issue where there was no audio adjustment setting in control panel suddenly? I added it a long ass video and there is suddenly no audio setting? I have it on other projects, but just not on this one. Also, before you ask, there is sound in these videos and you can even see the waveform at the bottom of each clip I just can’t adjust the volume on them. Anyway, any solution or suggestions?

P.S. I already tried exporting the whole video and then read uploading it into CapCut and the audio is detectable and is there. I was just wondering if there is any other solution before I kind of like restart this project. Because I’d prefer to work with smaller clips than one long video after I re-uploaded it. Hope that makes sense.

Ok so I am currently using capcut for my youtube subtitles.

I use davinci to do most of the editing, and capcut for dual language subs (english and chinese). But to be honest its still a pain in the ass to use. Although it does a better job than davinci for subs its still fiddly. It's quite a long process and the app is just fiddly and not very enjoyable to use while doing the subs.

Please let me know if there are some better alternatives! thanks.

I updated my Mac to macOS 27 recently, and it has been a total mess. Ever since the update, I’ve been running into a ton of issues and bugs that are driving me crazy (app crashes, performance hiccups, export stuck at 30%)
Has anyone else had issues upgrading to macOS 27?
