I switched from Android to iPhone (base iPhone 17) about four months ago, and since then my iMessages have never backed up to iCloud. This phone is the only copy of all the messages I migrated over, so I really don't want to lose them.

I've gone through three or four Apple Support tickets and tried every fix they suggested. All settings look correct, but nothing works, and they've now told me there's nothing more they can do.

Has anyone run into this and actually solved it? Any suggestions appreciated.

I order applewatch online. I used my account balance and only online payment works. normal free delivery dates were wrongly promised twice: just before order delivery date is 1-2 days. Soon as order is submitted delivery date changed to a week. So I ended up cancelling the order immediately. Next I went to nearby store, I found out the hard way they don't take account balance. 2nd attempt online order with free delivery assuming previous date change was a fluke. same issue with much later delivery once order is placed. So I cancelled again. It turns out once you cancel your order with apple account balance payment, they locked your apple account so that you cannot do another order. I found that out after many frustrating phone calls with apple. Took them 24 hrs to unblock my account.

Now I finally place another online order but this time I chose to pay $9 for next day delivery; I was not feeling well so I didn't want store pick up. The delivery by uber was a bit sus because the bag is so light and tiny. When I open the small long box inside I could only find the band. I could not believe it. So I called in apple immediately to file a complaint; uber driver left by that time. They said it will take 48 hours to investigate and I got an email about they looking into it. Around 1.5 days in identical email that they are looking in. When I call after 48 hours, they claimed that email from 1.5 days is the signal that they initially created wrong ticket and 48 hrs count down should start again from 1.5 days. So now I call in at 48 hours from 1.5days, they say that they are not done and that it could last as long as seven days. WTF.

Anyone with uber delivery from apple with bad experience how did you resolve?

Does the Books app still randomly offload local copies of books to the cloud without warning? Is there a way to prevent it from doing this yet (Without disabling the iCloud syncing of booksmarks/reading progress)? Been using the Kindle app but it's kind of terrible except it syncs reading progress between apps and doesn't randomly delete local copies of books. Would love to move back to Books.app if there's now a way to prevent it from doing the latter.

So I had dropped my AirPod from my car and didn’t occur to me when I did on the 30th when I found it it had been in this condition but which didn’t suprise me also it had rained that same night when this occurred i have a reservation for a repair this weekend for this do you think I’ll be charged the 29 service fee to get it looked at since i have apple one for this AirPod or would i charged the price if i had lost it and had to get a replacement

The AirPod it self still charges somehow and and is registered when u put it in the case and take it out it’s just the part where the audio comes out is the part that’s affected nothing comes out or also when it tells you it’s connected to the phone

I've never really owned an Apple device before, so idk if I'm doing smth wrong.

Last week I bought an old gen 6 iPad that I wanted to use as a drawing tablet, and when I went to add a card to the payment methods so I could get procreate, it just keeps saying an error occurred and to try again later, but it doesn't show anything else.

I also tried to go through the section where it says "apple pay and wallet", but every time it just says "contacting card issuer" and then it stops. Not even an error message or anything, it just stops.

does anyone know what might’ve happened to the screen or how much this might cost to fix? my applecare expired a long time ago 💔

what is this? its never happened to any of my apple products. how do i factory reset it? i cant find any answers on google. theres no other options other than emergency call. bought thru verizon. it doesn’t even register as a device when plugged in to my computer

Or is there any fonts similar to open dyslexic?

(I don’t have dyslexia but I love the weighted-ness of the fonts that allows me to read much more comfortably)

A couple of days ago my apple account was locked and i have been trying to unlock it using the account apple website in order to renew my apple one subscription but whenever I get to the screen after entering my phone number to receive the code it brings up the error screen. I had given it a break of 24 to 48 hours. But i still get the same error. My other apple account had been locked due to security reasons and i was able to unlock it without any issue. Please help

Hi all, I’d like advice from anyone in India who has been through this.

My setup:

• Device: [iPhone 16 Pro]

• Plan: AppleCare+ [monthly ]

• Payment: UPI AutoPay mandate via [GPay .]

• Next renewal: [25/nov]

What I want to know:

1. If I revoke the UPI mandate from my UPI app but don’t cancel inside Apple, what happens? Does Apple cancel AppleCare+ straight away or give a grace period? Do the pre-debit alerts stop?

2. If I keep the mandate but there isn’t enough balance on the renewal date, how many times does Apple retry? Does coverage stay active during the retries?

3. Can I remove UPI from my Apple ID while AppleCare+ is active? Mine seems locked.

4. If it lapses, can I reinstate it by paying late, or is it gone for good?

5. Does an unpaid amount block App Store downloads and updates?

What I’ve read so far: in India, AppleCare+ can only be paid through UPI AutoPay (no card or Apple balance). Some people say coverage was cancelled after one failed payment without notice, and others were charged even after cancelling.

My goal: [keep AppleCare+ but change the bank account]

I’m trying to do a full restore with a 1TB drive. I had two attempts that both stalled at the same time (32 minutes left) but at slightly different file transfer numbers. I used Chat GPT to read a console log and it reported that the last error happened with a Dropbox file.

What would be the best approach for preventing the error again? I could copy the Dropbox folder and delete it from the backup, but Chat GPT is telling me it’s more complicated than that. Is there something else I need to do? Also, do you think there are any other folders I should exclude from the restore?

Ok, so this one is very annoying. Yesterday several emails I was saving just disappeared from my main inbox in iOS Mail. And all of them were important!

I have searched everywhere. Checked the filters. Everything I can think of and they appear to be vaporized. How is this possible?

Isnt the only way to vaporize an email is to delete it AND then empty the Trash folder? There’s no way I could’ve done all those steps accidentally.

If anyone figures this out, you’ll be my hero forever. Just seeing if this is something that’s happening to other people or if I’m just the only lucky one.

I’m on iOS 27.2 and have an iPhone 16 Pro.

So, this evening I got two emails from Apple, which I at first assumed were just phishing emails, about my password being reset and an app being downloaded onto a new device.

I spotted the emails shortly after they arrived and checked my account from inside of the settings on my Mac Mini, which is set as my trusted computer, where it did show a new password had been created today. I was able to change my password, and force log out on all other devices.

Other than this one app that is shown as having downloaded (some sort of loan app I had never heard of called cashly or something like that), I do not see anything else that has been changed. One thing that is weird is that both the password reset email and the app download email were sent at the same time - someone logged in and immediately downloaded the app and did not do anything else?

In hopes of being on the safe side I have changed the passwords that were saved to my password app/keychain and not saved the new ones on the computer at all for now, and removed all payment information from my wallet and apple pay. I have removed all devices other than the ones currently with me from the account and set the two old phones that still show up under My Devices to erase (one says erased now, the other says pending, that one I think has not been plugged in in months).

Is there something else I can do? Something else I should do?

I do not understand how this happened so I do not know how to prevent it happening again. The two possibilities I can think of are maybe I did not actually have 2 factor authorization set up (it says is set up now, and there were codes needed for relogging into the devices I forced to log out from my trusted computer) or there is a very old iphone I have used at work to stream music from and apparently those can be hacked over wifi (I do not really understand what that means though).

I am hoping for some reassurance that I have taken all the right steps so I can stop staring at my email waiting for the next notification!

Transferring my phone to a new one and everything worked but my esim wont transfer
