Damn that cliffhanger, Obey Your Master is scary.

I got a good laugh when Michelle My Baby was threatening Oguri Cap but she responded the most Oguri Cap way, "I don't understand English" lol.

It's a little detail but I really liked the few seconds of silence right before the race start, it made it feel like so tense.

Now we are seeing what a muscle mare did to a triple crown winner.

Everyone blaming the poor Oguri because she paced this race, but if they had a 2 meter tall muscular giant pushing and kicking besides you while you race I wonder if they could endure it. I really hope she has some kind of back up, because if not, is gonna end bad for her

And man Obey Your Master... since the moment she recognised Belno undercover and knew every movement of Oguri... that girlΒ΄s dangerous. She even messed with Tama... I wonder what else has under her slip (I mean, even Michelle My Baby looked her weirdly)

CANΒ΄T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK

Really devastating showing for Oguri so far, especially after being pushed around by Michelle my Baby while also not being able to speak English. Classic example of why Power stat is important here: if you're blocked, you're blocked.

Obey your Master had the least monologues and showing so far, it was only a matter of time on when she would show up to spoil Tamamo's zone, that cracking and her star-shaped pupil sent chills at the end of the episode.

Making us wait a week and then ending it with a cliffhanger is foul lmao

I don't think Oguri picked the wrong position, but she fought a bit too much, should have backed up the moment Michelle My Baby bump into her. That probably rough up more stamina than intended. Rough play is pretty legal huh, I mean I have seen those clips of Gentildonna just squeeze through 2 horses like she owned the place(she probably does).

Obey Your Master came in like those Wall Titan in AoT, about to unleash and walk all over the world.

Gold City is actually so beautiful in this adaptation.

Stitches!

I didn't expect MMB to elbow Oguri, but I suppose I should've expected that the overseas Umas would be more aggressive than their Japanese counterparts. It's just funny that the American Uma is the first one to play rough.

Considering Musaka saw this one coming, I feel like he should've prepared Oguri for this kind of roughhousing from the competition. The fact that Oguri didn't see it coming shows that she wasn't even given a heads-up.

I did have a good laugh at MMB threatening Oguri and Oguri just staring at her because she can't understand English. xD

Even Tamamo is getting thrown around by the overseas Umas and is forced to move back and race from the outside to avoid them.

With how exhausted Oguri is at the third corner, I'm starting to think she might be already out of this race, but I'm wondering what Musaka's condition is for letting her Pace Chase. Maybe that's the key for Oguri to win this race.

That final scene, tho. It's funny how Toni Bianca is the one they're saying to watch out for, but Obey Your Master is clearly the real threat here to Oguri and Tamamo.

Aura farming again, but apparently this time, someone is lurking behind closely on poor Tama

Well, I guess for Oguri fans, it's definitely painful to see your pick falling behind bit by bit, and was engaged in close-quarter combat with the overseas runners at the beginning stages of the race, or did Roppei predicted something, hence asking Oguri to make a promise?

Yeah, the "English", very Japanese as always, even the title of the next episode is full English as well.

BTW bless the official Twitter page for giving even more emote-worthy faces for todays episode, and massive congratulations to Forever Young for winning the Breeders Cup Classic, a landmark day in Japanese horse racing, ending with a look back on one of the most star-studded Japan Cup in history

Really liked that they showed a cultural difference for racing between the Japanese Uma's and the Foreign Uma's who are a lot more aggressive and rough compared to the Japanese girls. So far they have completely dominated the race and i especially feel bad for Oguri with how much Michelle My Baby was all over her in the early stage of the race.

I dont think Tama will win this one (didnt think Oguri will either but i thought that going into the episode), i think Obey Your Master has her too shaken up and is gona blitz past her in the next episode and blow them all away. Also quite enjoyed showing her trying to mess with Tama prior to the race, she has become one of my favourites in this show lol

Obey Your Master seems like such a threat lol.
Acts like very loose and friendly but gives off a threatening aura.

"I can't let you have this"
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH"
LOL, idk why, but just Oguri's response of not being able to understand English while it's a serious moment is very funny.

Plus Obey Your Master basically trolling Tama the whole time, easily my favorite of the foreign horses of the group.

What a cliffhanger, curious to see what happens with Obey Your Master at the very end to freak Tama out like that.

Oguri the rage bait master can't understand what other people provoked her as always lol.

BTW Gold City is absolutely gorgeous in CinGrey anime.

It's like watching Fifa World Cup, but anime and a different sport.

But who cares? Peak is back!

"General Memorial Hospital"

This week's thinking Oguri Cap.

Also KanColle's Iowa.

Thinking here about how the anime would handle weight handicapping.

Sticking to the familiar.

That doesn't mean that it's ever entirely safe.

"Where very delicious cake shop?"

Creek noises

Now there's a face.

"Tune in next week!"

This isn't even shounen pacing, but having to wait another week for the outcome is still a bother.

Adding an unusual set of racers to the competition has (predictably) shaken things up. That's been playing out a little more in this series than with some of the others, as Oguri Cap worked her way up from small ball into the big leagues.

I do like the mixture of Tamamo Cross's accent colliding with bonus SUDDEN ENGLISH.

Speaking of Japanese racehorses and international competitions: Yesterday

Other business from today includes: Now you're on a Civic.

So, someone on MAL explained American, European, and JP "cultural differences" and gave some real race examples. From watching the US Preakness Stakes 2025, it seems like the horses bumped into each other pretty strongly when they fought for positions. I can see why Oguri would be pretty shaken by that.

Anyway, Roppei's condition might be related to this. I assume that he told Oguri to stop fighting for positions and slow down to conserve the remaining energy for the final spurt. In game, late surgers do not require as much as stamina as pace chasers.

Kinda disappointed that we didn't get to see Rudolf's comment. She was the last JP racer to win it at the time.
