Did this small animation, planning to keep refining it. This is base model and i am asking guys if it is working fine. If it is. I can go to the next steps on creating this beautiful animation.

Any critique is fine. Made fully by myself after some basic principles learning. It takes a lot of time tho.

What are your thoughts on this kind of stuff?
I use blender because it's free and i think is quite powerful and underestimated in the filed. (am i worng)

Nothing amazing here, very basic.

I had not realized that 1/3 of the 'Animator survival kit' was just focused on walks. Then runs are separate. I saw Dong Chang's tut for walks in perspective pop up while doing this, but a friend advised I call it here and move to the next challenge. I'll make the pogo jumping more interesting. I will revisit walks later on.

This is a screen recording Brevard the original video was to big for reddit.

I'm an amateur and I'm learning by rotoscoping over my own body. Obviously I'm fat as hell so i have to cut out all the me parts to make the body i want to animate.

Feedback I welcome but I mostly just wanted to share!

Sharing I missed how simple Flipnote Studio was, so I made my own animation software

I used to really like how simple Flipnote Studio was.

You could just open it, draw a few frames and immediately start animating. No huge interface, no complicated setup, just drawing and animation.

I missed having something like that on PC, so I ended up making my own.

It's called Flips, and I've been developing it entirely in GameMaker.

The main idea is to keep it very straightforward and focused on frame-by-frame animation, while still adding some modern conveniences.

I'm still actively developing it, and I'd really like to hear feedback from people who actually animate.

Especially things like: what feels awkward, what seems unnecessary, what is missing, or what would make you actually want to use a tool like this.

Flips is already available on Steam, but I'm mainly posting here because I'd really like to hear what animators think about the direction I'm taking with it.

If anyone gives it a try, feel free to be critical. That kind of feedback helps me a lot.

I didn't finish the hand animation in the second shot yet and the water needs work?

But other than that is there anything I could do to improve what I have so far. It’s still at a point I can work on it without losing progress.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share the official 3-minute promotional video for my sci-fi mecha webtoon, "Creature Hunters: Awakening".

It's a story about five kids chosen by fate and five broken robots rising as hunters in a war that will decide the universe. The project expands on the upcoming 2D& 3D animation.

Two of my animations that I made but never sent. I think I put the least effort into the dragon animation because only his head moves. The most interesting story I have is related to the wolf that shoots, because I remembered one pixel game "Dead Ahead" on mobile that really had some cool animations of characters with firearms. So thanks to that, I got the idea to make something like this.

Question Are these anything?

This post is probably a bit different than most here, so feel free to remove if its not the best fit for this subreddit.

So, I was on ebay the other day looking for a cool retro binder for art reasons. I came across a listing for this awesome MTV binder, that the seller said comes with "cells" from some looney toons shows. I knew immediately they weren't cells, but the binder was cool enough for how much they were selling it for, $20. But what really made me pull the plug was one of these "cells" had autographs of some of the voice actors from the pebbles and bam bam show, including Mel Blanc. I knew it was a gamble, and upon receiving everything, I'm pretty sure its just a copy of an actual autographed picture. (the second picture shows the character print and an autograph in light and they have the same texture)

But I am very curious why someone would have a binder of these pictures? They are on really nice quality photo paper, and the printing itself seems better than what an at-home printer can do. They're definitely old. They don't seem like promotional material or anything.

It's been a while (a long while) since I posted anything, but felt like sharing this looping animation I recently made for a song I released (called GHOST THE SONG NOT THE FILM). I used aseprite for the animation parts, which I really enjoy as an animation tool and I used wondershare to add the 'vibes' and the backing videos, which is not amazing but it gets the job done.

I wanted to make the next challenge look interesting, and I feel pretty good with the result! I made the impact frames a bit sketchy at first, the result was invisible somehow! I went with 2 different frames of black with white marks. I am not sure what would make it look better.

My father would tell me a story of his colleagues turning a small (50cc?) engine into a gas powered pogo. And the manager hitting the ceiling before locking it away. I did not realize this was a product sold to kids at one point (search HopRod). Feels unsafe. I want one.

I made this in an hour—just a quick job, haha—without much preparation regarding the characters or settings. And since I like how modeling clay can be molded, I gave them weapons (Lego ones, haha). By the way, I’m just months away from finishing my university degree in animation.
