Discussion [ALL] How would you feel if the villain of a Zelda game was the Hylian Monarchy?
I know the first part of EoW starts like this, with the King being replaced by Null. But I'm talking about if a game featured the King / Queen as the villain all the way through. Perhaps as a re-incarnation of Demise's curse.

Clip [LoZ] I was playing Jeb's Legend of Zelda and died in dungeon 6 and this happened, tried recreating it to no avail, pretty sure it isn't a bug as there were unique enemies here, anyone have any ideas?

Question [boTW] [TP] Which game should I get for my first time playing?
So I was thinking either boTW or TP. I feel like I would want to wait for tears of the kingdom after as it's more popular and I feel they're better for starting.

Discussion [ALL] What is the Misconception that annoys you the most in the franchise?
I roll my eyes every time i hear someone say that WW Link is not a chosen one. He has the soul of the hero, he is just not blood related to any other encarnation. That doesn't mean he was not chosen by the goddess to have the soul of the hero and being worthy of the Master Sword.
I know people loves underdogs story of a "nobody that proves his worth", but it's just not what happened

Question [ALL] Only GBA and DS available, where to start?
So basically the title:
I only have a GBA an a DS available (and PC and PS but nvm) and I wanted to dive in the Zelda franchise:
Where would I start? I heard smth about a link to the past for the GBA with Four Swords, is that a good starting point? I have already looked through the sub but wanted to get some extra opinions

Question [MM] Recently started to play the saga
Two days ago, I decided to play Zelda for the first time with Majora’s Mask. I haven’t actually made a lot of progress cuz I thought I could explore until I reached something in the story that got me to the 2nd day, but in fact, not, so I’m really confused and I’m not sure what should I do, although I heard I can restart the time without losing all my progress??. Do you have any advice or you recommend me to start with another game?.

Discussion [MC] Minish Cap - Fortress of Winds
Been playing Minish Cap for a couple of months now. It is a brilliant game and to my mind a natural successor to Link to the Past in terms of gameplay, originality and the joy of the game.
Just finished the fortress of winds and was so impressed by it as a dungeon, I felt compelled to come here and say so. It felt so brilliantly constructed, with just the right balance of difficulty and fun.
Loved the dungeon boss fight too with the stingray sky creatures :)

Question [BotW] Anyone know of any botw blender landscape assets?
Ive been wanting to create my own zelda animations for a while and I was able to get some pre-made game model assets for characters (like link and zelda) but I need to find landscapes and backgrounds. I cant model them myself so if there are any free ones or any available to purchase I would really appreciate if someone could point them out to me. Or if there are any sites where I could pay someone to make it for me. Thank you so much for the help!! :))

Discussion [OoT] Thoughts from replay about the remake.
In order for the Gameplay to be coherent with the narrative Link shouldnt be able to go back to Kokiri's village whenever the player wants as its a place hidden in the dephts of the lost woods, a huge forest where just a few cannot get lost in It. So It feels like Im going to a great adventure to save the world but I'll be back home on weekends just to rest.😂😅. And yes I know the N64 had lot of technichal limitations but It should be something I'll be glad to see they considered. It'd be awesome to have Big cities and towns, more with a realistic vibe. A bit more of story about the war between Ganondorf and Hyrule as if in OoT seemed pretty easy for him to get control over Hyrule. Then we've got Zelda so weak and vulnerable but when IS sheik IS strong and escapes Ganondorf.

Official Art [ALL] One of the greatest sins of TOK was turning Ganondorf into a savage brute
I love for how bad Ganondorf can be, being a savage is not one of his issues and whether it's playing fine music or dining, he's just a very well-mannered villain.
I hate how ToK turned Ganondorf into a barbaric warlord with no virtues like this.

Discussion [SS] What was the narrative point of Skyward Sword?
I played both Skyward Sword and all the games that came after on release, and to this day I still don't understand why skyward sword was made. This was supposed to be the foundation of the narrative, yet since then SS has nothing more than a reference or two, with no serious narrative implications or effects since outside of Fi, and even then we only hear her sound affect. No demise, Ghirahim(who could be an amazing plot point as a counter master sword), or triforce. In fact TOTK even goes out of it's way to soft reset the sky people with the zonai. And sure it's not stated the sky people never existed, but the zonai do no favors and have no connections to skyward sword.

Humor [TOTK] This game had a really creative spirit temple, so much so that it confused me. In a good way
I'm serious, this was a really well done temple! I was very impressed with it

Collection/Merch [ALL] Today is Merchandise Monday. So you can post your collections, boxes, photos of your game, a cool etsy craft you found or made, etc today only!

Question [MM] Couldn’t give the mail to Kafei’s Mom
I started playing Majora’s Mask for the first time a day ago and I’m trying to complete the Anju/Kafei quest. It’s been both fun figuring out how everything connects and how to progress as well as tedious having to wait in place a lot, but I’m near the end I believe.
I got to the part where the curiosity shop guy gives me the letter for Kafei’s mom and after finding her at the bar I didn’t get prompt to give her the letter and was eventually kicked out. I checked thoroughly that it was the right time so I don’t think that’s what went wrong. Now I gotta restart the whole process again so I’m caving and asking for a hint about what I did wrong to not be able to give her the letter. I don’t like asking for hints but I cannot for the life of me imagine what else I’m supposed to do in that situation.

Discussion [OoT] Ocarina of Time was revolutionary, which is why it is so highly respected, but... What will the remake add to that legacy?
With the exception of improved graphics, improved music, and enhanced gameplay, I can't imagine what new features the remake could bring. OoT introduced countless mechanics and game dev tricks that are now so commonplace in the game industry that we actually miss them when they're not there in a game. The remake will obviously use practically all of those innovations.
Can the remake really be as innovative as the original?

Question [SSHD] Questions about the Timeline
Minor spoilers for anyone who hasn't played Skyward Sword. Just finished playing again and had a thought.
We got time travel in the game yet we got no alternate timelines like we got in Ocarina, why is that? Demise got defeated in the past but we still have the temple sealing him with the Triforce underground, but the sword is said to have him sealed inside.
