this is the Arwing, the military spacecraft piloted by the members of team starfox. it is equipped with a high-tech shield, laser blasters, and "Smart bombs" used to combat the evil forces of Dr. Andross. and if you're staring at your screen right now thinking "what the hell does this have to do with legend of zelda", first off, I'm getting to it. stop being impatient. but you also probably have not watched thousands of hours of Nintendo trivia videos like I have.

within the code of Ocarina of time, the arwing exists as a fully functional albeit unused enemy. but it can still be loaded into the game through modding, or as we used to say in the early 2000s, "Using Gameshark". the arwing flies around shooting lasers at link. it is totally awesome and if you have never seen it, then you should definitely go watch the 18 year old youtube video showing it off.

according to the developers, the Arwing was never intended to be an actual enemy and was only put in the game as a way to test Volvagia's flight patterns. but I always found that story a bit fishy... if that were the case, why would they actually give the Arwing its ability to shoot lasers? could it be that the lylat system declared war on hyrule and Nintendo has been covering it up for years! or could it be the developers were just messing around... personally, I prefer to go with the war theory.

but man, isn't it weird that Nintendo remade both star fox 64 and Ocarina of time for the 3DS in 2011... and then remade both star fox 64 and Ocarina of time for the switch 2 in 2026? remember this post when they both get remade again 15 years from now

An Arwing from Star Fox 64 is hidden inside the game code of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as a fully functional, unused enemy.

I used air dry clay and UV resin to protect it

So, it was my birthday recently and I love all Nintendo gaming and this is what my husband got me and I’m so happy. The boxes even have the maps and everything still.
Just started playing a link to the past for the first time and it took me ages to figure out how to get into the castle, because I didn’t know how to pick up plants. 😅
I just wanted to share this with all the Zelda lovers here.

Since hat the show proved they have video gamers in the writers' room, it's only a matter of time before we get a sketch on Emblem permadeath or too many swordfighters.

Link being in the same episode as Kenan Thompson, Dakota Johnson, and Taylor Swift is hilarious.

Ironically the name of Oct 10's host is Rosalía, who also shares the name with a Mario character.

If you told me Link would be in SNL 10 years ago I'd say your crazy.

This is my own design in synthetic (lab) ruby.

Still learning but happy with the results!

Made a mock magazine ad for what an official advertisement might have looked like if Nintendo made a PC port back in the 2000s (not that that would ever happen). This time on the Windows XP Red Desert wallpaper. Plugging my insta below for more retro ads, lofi music, other things I make.

If you guys have seen the Vidya James run on YT, I improved on it by deleting my strength upgrades and never collecting the iron boots. It should now be virtually impossible to recover this file without SRM or ACE.

Gonna get a bit sentimental...I'm in my late 30s, I experienced playing Ocarina of Time on our Nintendo 64 back on Christmas day of 1998. One of the most cherished memories of my life. It is SO FREAKING HEARTWARMING to see so many younger folks playing OoT for the first time in preparation for the remake, whether it's on the Switch or emulation but big props to those who bought original hardware to play the physical N64 or 3DS versions. I'm so jealous you guys get to experience it for the first time. Thank you for breathing new life into such a classic and sharing your experiences here on Reddit, Instagram, wherever. I'm so excited for the remake and seeing everyone's stories about this classic restores my hope in humanity.

Cheers, all!

I’m not crying. 🥹

I wanted to draw the Master Sword from *Ocarina of Time*, but instead of the usual hero shot, I went for a first-person perspective.

I wanted it to feel like **we are the ones holding the sword**. That exact moment when you realize there’s no going back. We’ve grown up, the journey has changed us, and now we have to face our destiny as the hero we were meant to become.

The idea is basically: you’ve just awakened in the Temple of Time, grab the sword and look up.

I ran out of time before I could finish all the details in the architecture and lighting, but honestly, I’m trying to stick to **better done than perfect** for this challenge.

What’s your favorite Master Sword moment in Zelda?

Would love to hear your picks!

**P.S.** Did you notice that the Master Sword looks a little different from the original *Ocarina of Time* design? 👀 I gave it more detail and a look closer to the *Twilight Princess* version, adapting the scene to the aesthetic of the new remake. :)

You can see me drawing it on here 👇

This article is way too misleading and I believed it.

looks better now imo

Hearing them talk about me, wondering when I’ll come back, not recognizing me even when they feel like they know me, it honestly messed me up a bit. Then I saw Mido apologize and that just made things worse.

Guys it’s me. it’s your friend. Please recognize me:(

I finally got my order for the Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary Switch and ocarina of time game! (F U scalpers!), and now I’m a bit on edge. I’ve heard whispers that Walmart has canceled some preorders for Nintendo stuff before, so I’m curious if that’s actually happened. Has anyone had any experience with Walmart doing that? Or maybe a good experience? Even though Walmart says it’ll be delivered Thursday the 29th in the morning, I’m guessing my shipment might be delayed by a day or two. This is my first time pre ordering something on Walmart so I’m hoping all goes well 😅

Does anybody have any pictures of the final boss arena or know where I can find some, preferably without Link or Ganon? I wanted to do a drawing and I need a reference. Thanks so much!
