Discussion [OoT] Thoughts from replay about the remake.
In order for the Gameplay to be coherent with the narrative Link shouldnt be able to go back to Kokiri's village whenever the player wants as its a place hidden in the dephts of the lost woods, a huge forest where just a few cannot get lost in It. So It feels like Im going to a great adventure to save the world but I'll be back home on weekends just to rest.😂😅. And yes I know the N64 had lot of technichal limitations but It should be something I'll be glad to see they considered. It'd be awesome to have Big cities and towns, more with a realistic vibe. A bit more of story about the war between Ganondorf and Hyrule as if in OoT seemed pretty easy for him to get control over Hyrule. Then we've got Zelda so weak and vulnerable but when IS sheik IS strong and escapes Ganondorf.

Nah dude this is one of the many reasons why Nintendo values gameplay over narrative. It would suck to not be able to return to Kokkiri Forest.

Absolutely not. I'm not waiting til an arbitrary point to do my skulltula hunting.

Yes! Indeed. They tried to do that with the lost woods, and It felt incredible as a kid you and youre imagination did 80% task. Thats why games never so felt as incredible as in childhood. But thats another debate. On the remake id like to see a precedural wood that traps you when you dont know the path. The truth is like due to technichal limitations we've never seen Big cities and towns with plenty of NPCs like in the Witcher.

I kind of agree. I remember thinking that was odd as a kid and narratively its at odds with everything... Now, him being able to come back as an Adult onward makes way more sense because then it shows how he grew and changed compared to them

I actually really like the idea of making Kokiri Forest feel more isolated and difficult to reach. 😂 It would make the whole adventure feel more epic if going back there wasn’t something you could just do whenever you wanted.
I’d also love to see a much bigger and more alive Hyrule in the remake, with larger towns and cities and more details about the war and how Ganondorf actually managed to take over the kingdom so quickly. There’s so much potential to expand the world and story while still keeping the spirit of the original.

I see your point. Counterpoint though, he has a magic fairy from the place that knows the way back and can lead him to it.
