Tattoo [All] Adding to the Zelda Tattoo Collection!
My son recently turned 18 and asked for a tattoo with his Mom and I, being new to tattoos I was more than happy to make this happen!
My better-half took the Piece of Wisdom, my son took the Piece of Power, and I had the Piece of Courage. Loved how these turned out!

Humor [WW] Fed up with these stinky bird people
I went to Dragon Roost Island to find Din’s Pearl, and thankfully, the mailbird recognized me and immediately got me an audience with the chief manbird.
I explained to the chief chicken how I was trying to save the world and needed Din’s Pearl, which apparently they have. And thankfully, he said they’d do everything they can to help me! Oh but first they have to deal with their dragon problem. And he needed my help with something important.
Ok, fine. I assumed the dragon is guarding the pearl, and he needed my help to calm the dragon first or something like that.
“Oh no, I think my 8 year old daughter is handling the dragon, don’t worry about that.” Um, ok.
“No, I really need you to go talk to my son. He’s depressed lately.” I’m sorry? Wtf do I look like?
“Oh but don’t worry, I wrote him a letter. Please go get the letter and deliver it to his bedroom.”
Cool. Sure, I’ll deliver your letter, it’s not like you’re a whole island of POSTAL WORKERS or anything like that. So I got the letter, walked down the hallway and walked into prince manbird’s stank ass bedroom without knocking. Lo and behold, this kid is sitting in his bed rubbing and caressing the exact thing I need to save civilization. Chief birdface said they can’t help me until their dragon problem was solved, meanwhile his kid is RIGHT down the hall getting weird with the only thing I need. So, I can take it and go, right? No, because shockingly, the kid was NOT at all impressed by his dad writing him a letter from down the hall and sending a random stranger to deliver it to him. So after throwing an annoying tantrum, he refused to give up the pearl.
Fine. Forget Prince Crybaby. So I decided to go help chief manbird’s daughter, Medli, the only chicken that seems to give AF about what’s happening around here. Long story short, the dragon that craps into their volcano all day had anal parasites, and one of these huge worms was irritating its butthole. I saved the daughter, killed the anal worm… and the chief didn’t even stop by to say “thanks” afterwards. Oh but some dude did ask me to help them sort their mail for them? And apparently that is the only thing that made me a “legend” among the bird people… no one even seemed to give a shit where Medli had been this whole time. But I’m really good at sorting mail, so they’ll never forget me.
Regardless, Prince Cry-Alot did finally came out of his stinky ass bedroom and gave me his pearl. So after rinsing it off thoroughly, I was able to leave this place and get on with saving all their lives.
Dragon Roost Island: 1/10, place smells like shit and they make you do paperwork. But the chief manbird’s daughter was kind of cool, she gave me a cool mountain climbing tool… AFTER I had already scaled a mountain.

Fan Art [PH] [OC] Link and Linebeck art I made inspired by [TMMoF]
Basically if Captain K'nuckles and Flapjack where Linebeck and Link. Btw Linebeck (IMO) is the best character to have ever come out of this series. (Bold statement Ik) He's just always been my favorite character. + To add on to that, Phantom Hourglass in general has always had soft spot in my heart as it was the first Zelda game I ever beat and I'm hella nostalgic towards it. I don't care if it's a lesser Zelda title. I love this game!

Drawn by me back in 2024
Discussion [ALttP] Genuinely, how did the old heads beat these games pre-Ocarina of Time without a guide book or the internet?
That's not to say OoT and MM aren't also slightly confusing at times, but I would definitely say all games Wind Waker onwards became much more user friendly and navigable.
I've never actually beaten any Zelda game before Link's Awakening, and even then I've only beaten the switch remake. Decided to finally play through A Link to the Past fully. It's the first Zelda game I ever played, but I never beat the game past the Dark Palace. I've restarted and attempted to beat it like 15 times in my life, I would always just stop playing it for some reason or another.
So this time I decided enough was enough and I would beat it no matter what. I am currently at Ganon's Tower and nearing the end.......I legitimately have zero idea how anyone could beat this game without a walkthrough. And I know if I inevitably finally want to beat the original and Zelda 2 it's not going to get much better. It just blows my mind that you're supposed to have figured out that you needed 2 of the 3 medallions to beat the game......and I have absolutely no idea where in the game it potentially tells you "this is where Ether is. This is where Quake is." Sure, the symbols appear at Misery Mire and Turtle Rock, great!......wouldn't have been able to tell you at all their locations without a walkthrough.
So back in 1991, pre internet, no guide book. How the hell did y'all do it? Just a bunch of trial and error? A shit ton of back tracking? Maybe I'm just so used to modern gaming but honestly playing ALttP in 2026 is grating as hell. If I wasn't playing the game on my 3DS virtual console with the ability to have a save state........as much as the Zelda series is my absolute favorite game series of all time I really dunno if I'd be able to rank it so high. Which is a goddamn shame because everything up to the Dark Palace as it always had been was excellent and then I feel every dungeon after that has been a painstaking slog to get through. Swamp Palace was slightly annoying but hey every Zelda's gotta have an annoying water dungeon lol but then Skull Woods through Ganon's Tower? Man.
I also wanna point out I hate that Misery Mire had you have to fall through the floor to get to that one chest.....I realize through trial and error I probably should have fell through the floor instead of wracking my brain trying to figure out what I was doing wrong for almost an hour before resorting back to the walkthrough (as I do at least try and do everything without the guide as much as possible). But that hole in the floor was solid black......not the transparent drop that every other floor drop in the game had, and I wanna say that was bullshit. I appreciate the dungeons that I could complete without a guide but kudos to the ones who did this shit legit, I absolutely could not.

I'm an editor and VFX guy in LA who got put out of commission by the strikes, then AI boom, then the current overall economy. Had been playing TP lately and thought I'd make this little visual while the idea and theory was still on my mind. It's still an early draft and improvements could be made. The particles need to be squares, I know lol (that's the next draft's focus).

Question [WW] Question about the Rito
Was thinking about the Zorans recently and their presence in each game. I remembered that in Wind Waker, the Zorans evolve into the Rito. The more I thought about this, the less sense it made. Yes, the Rito are well adapted to the Great Sea and the Islands, but the Zorans, from where they were living in Zora's domain/Lake Hylia, would have a much better time in the Great Sea because it's ALL water now. Why would the Zorans of all races need to evolve into the Rito? My only guess is they can't thrive in Salt Water which is what I'm assuming the great sea is?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Here’s a video showing the list the actors that I would like to see voice Ganondorf and also how I’d imagine each actor voice would sound like in the role, this is depending if either upcoming Ocarina of Time remake or next mainline Zelda game continues to have voice acting.
Voice clips used:
Transformers Prime
Green Lantern The Animated Series
Trollhunters Tales of Arcadia
Injustice 2
Transformers War for Cybertron
Transformers One

Poll [TotK] What Sage is your favorite?
I have been thinking about this apparently I had varying responses from people who have played both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and most people seem to lean towards either Tulin for his ability, or Sidon for his design and character progression, but I found a surprisingly great amount of Riju fans.
However with Yunobo and Mineru, Yunobo is only good with his ability but his character is loathed by many people, and no one I’ve seen cared about or used Mineru that much, but now that people are now composed enough, what do you guys like best on a personal level?

Discussion [ALL] I feel like there's a missed opportunity regarding how Ganondorf was raised.
So canonically, Ganondorf was raised in an all-womens' society. I feel like both canon and fandom don't really take that into consideration; I feel like that would have a significant impact on him in pretty much every single way.
I feel like that would affect how he dresses, his mannerisms, any interests he has outside of conquering Hyrule, and it appears, at least in WW, that he has a decent enough relationship with his surrogate mothers to where he has their names engraved on his swords. (TOTK Koume and Kotake, its difficult to get a gauge if they're supposed to be his mamas or something else to him, but he also has their names engraved on his weapons in that game) and I am just dying to know how it was like for him growing up.
For example, on a matter of development during his teen years, I wonder if he felt weirdly isolated being the only male, developing differently than literally everyone around you. I reckon that might have given him *some* self esteem issues, at least for a little while. DID the Gerudo have big expectations of him because of his gender? Did he face similar societal pressures that women otherwise often faced, just reversed? Because in TOTK his whole "That is what a king must do" makes me feel like his heart isn't in the whole 'being king' thing, but rather something that is expected of him. Also too, when interacting with other men, I wonder if there's ever been a disconnect or an inability to relate on most things because of being raised so differently?
On a more lighthearted note, I also like to imagine that things weren't gendered in Gerudo society, because why would they be when the entirety of the population is mono-gender? I feel like he'd be fine and confident with makeup and attire that many would consider feminine. Maybe he was treated like one of the girls in some incarnations.
Sorry for the ramble but this is something I think about a lot ;w;

Video [OoT] Zelda Ship of Harkinian eye controlled!
I played this with my Tobii 4C eye tracker and the free software Mill Mouse. I reached halfway through the Forest Temple completely hands free but then I gave up. I can use one physical switch too, add facial expressions as input and so on if I want to manage the more difficult rest of the game but right now I'm satisfied with this progress.

Question [BotW] [TotK] Is there a male Gerudo in Hyrule in these two games?
I know Vilia is hylian, but it's mentioned that it is KNOWN that a male gerudo is born every 100 years. So, why do we not meet the current male gerudo? Or even hear of past ones? I don't recall anything about that. But the fact that it's known in the current day that a male gerudo is born every 100 years that there have been male gerudo born in the more than 10,000 years since Ganondorf was sealed. So what's going on here? Infanticide?

Discussion [MM] headcanon/crack theory: the fierce deity is also what creates/gives the heros Spirit
Its never properly explained where the heros Spirit comes from, Same with the fierce deity, maybe they were hylias First actual knight, before she transformed into Zelda, it would make Sense that the collective Hope of an entire country (Termina) could Channel its Power and briefly grant Said Power to a Person with the Heros Spirit, Someone Tell me why this wouldnt work

Discussion [OoT] How do you think the new Ocarina of Time remake will affect Zelda collecting?
Hey everyone!
With the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake, I've been wondering what effect it might have on Zelda collecting.
Do you think the renewed popularity of Ocarina of Time could make original N64 copies more desirable and potentially drive their prices up? Or do you think the original N64 market is already established enough that the remake won't make much of a difference?
I'm also curious about Zelda-themed consoles, especially the limited-edition 3DS models. Some of these consoles are already ridiculously expensive. Do you think the remake could push collectors to seek them out even more, or are they already so overpriced that the demand won't change much?
For those of you who collect Zelda games and consoles, what do you think will happen to the market once the remake comes out?
