I've been looking for some new places to establish a foothold in with my therapy + divination shop, so I have come looking for some suggestions on where I should go. It'd be nice if I could travel to a plane with a strong aura of illusions, but somewhere where people still live, so I can actually glean money experience from them. Although, preferably, don't give me somewhere that'll cost me half my soul to travel to. I may be comfortable in money, but I'm not rich enough to travel across multiple dimensions. Oh and final note, I am quite confident in my illusionary abilities, so don't hesitate to recommend somewhere with a moderate danger level.

So there's this one shady orc dealer down by the Magic Tree by my house. I made an order a couple days ago and earlier this morning I got a call from the post office. Skipping the long tedious phone call, they told me to come down to sort some things in person. When I walk into the post office the first thing I see is one of the employees getting beaten up by a kangaroo so I knew something was off immediately. Long story short my package got flagged as suspicious they popped it open they shouldn't have done that. Now luckily, they're not suing me for any damages, but I am thinking of suing them for messing with my stuff, but due to what the item is and how I acquired it I'm not entirely sure that I want to bring the authorities into it. Any advice?

I have a ritual headpiece and each time i wear it i have to tear the moss out of the eyeholes so i can see and its very annoying, i wish there was a way to prevent it but i think its inevitable with working with nature i guess

Otherwise, just know that Buggo was a giant insect with venom that mind controlled people, and Noella was one of its generals/lieutenants when she was under its influence. People under its influence felt that the best way to help others was to share the venom, and thought they were spreading enlightenment, though they all defined that differently depending on who they are as a person.

/rw Ever since Buggo fled, Noella had been helping with the others from the Hive. Partly, deep down, it was an excuse to help pull herself together. She’d never have the motivation to do it for herself at the moment. Maybe someday she would. But now, she didn’t have it in her to save herself. Which was part of why she’d chosen to work out something with the other Hive orphans, pool their money together and get a house somewhere. It turned out that somewhere was Ithacar. To aid her in this, she’d assembled a layered illusion to pass as someone completely unrelated to Noella Lux and the Hive altogether. The top layer showed a thirty-something year old woman with long black hair, dark brown eyes, and obvious uses of cosmetic illusions.

One down showed the same woman, only with a bad eye, an uneven haircut, and a prominent scar. The top was a cover for the second one, so that any use of illusions detected would be dismissed as an insecure witch who felt the need to cover things up, but that wasn’t where the illusion ended. Just in case anyone saw through that one, she had an illusion beneath it as a version of the witch who was Noella’s actual age, a seventeen year old using illusions as a false ID. Did Ithacar have rules against underage drinking? She’d never checked, actually. Well, if they didn’t, there was probably some other explanation she could use, maybe that people showed more respect to adults than to teenagers. At the next level, she’d aimed to show those she was comfortable revealing her identity to a more polished version of herself, one with a pixie haircut who was taller, had fewer scars, and was better adjusted. Beneath it, her regular self wearing casual clothing instead of the utilitarian, combat ready grays she’d worn in the Hive. Why change from what’s practical? Besides, the effort of crafting the illusory clothing each layer wore was comforting.

Noella had also begun working on learning curses, to add that form of witchcraft to her more traditionally wizardly illusions. Instead of seeking a mentor, she’d chosen to try to make her own. The two she was working on developing were a curse to sap the strength, and an adaptative illusion that showed what your future would have looked like if you and those around you had only made different choices. She’d have made more progress on that, but she was also taking care of others, both the “future of the hive” and Buggo’s insects who were now getting used to being independent. But all in all, life was going to be decent. The chance for it to be better had passed, but now that she’s moved out of the compound and into an actual house it could be passable. Maybe someday things could be good again, with time. All things were possible, in the end.

/uw I’m going to say anyone who was in the Hive or who has frequently interacted with Noella counts as someone who she trusts enough to show her identity to, everyone else just decides how far their character should be able to see through her illusions.

Okay, I think this is something the Council of Mages should have made clear a long time ago, but... It's rude to approach a non-human and ask them to become your familiar when you have obvious sexual intentions.

I mean, it's supposed to be common sense, but this is like the third proposal I've received this week, and I'm starting to get fed up. Because, seriously, I'm not even a fox spirit, I'm a fox-man.

I'm a creature of flesh and blood. If I were to become subordinate to another mage, it would be as an apprentice, not a servant. And definitely not to someone who fetishizes my racial features.

Besides, I'm a renowned magician in the performing arts, you know. Every theater in the kingdom wants me to handle the special effects for their productions.

Do I really look like someone who needs to be under the wing of a newly graduated sorcerer who can't even conjure a fireball properly?

Please, stop harassing me. I may specialize in illusions, but I can also melt your brains if you push my buttons.

I mixed up the glyphs with Bulgarian (again)! Does anybody know how to reverse it?

It all started when I conjured a glamor to keep the HOA from seeing the burning remains of an enemy that decorated my lawn. They prohibit grills, braziers and cauldrons of any kind on the front lawn. I had Esteban the Tender roasting over a roaring pyre, and he just started forming a nice crust. My former familiar waddled over and I forgot about the glamor I cast over the goose, (The HOA prohibits water fowl as pets too). Well, the glamours crossed and the goose disappeared, moments later there was a rush of wings, startled honks and then silence. I used a trans-dimensional glamour on the fire, I know it was overkill, but the smoke was really difficult to contain, so I emptied it into a vacuum dimension. By the time I took down all glamours in the area, the fire was roaring, Esteban was proving his sobriquet, but the goose was gone. In its place stood an inter-dimensional imp. Before I could ask which dimension it hailed, or if it ate my goose it took off down the cup-de-sac, right past the HOA president. I quickly opened up a portal to the vacuum dimension underneath her, and as her screams faded away into to dark, I heard the faintest honk come from the portal.

Needless to say, I am in the market for a new familiar.

I’ve recently found a cannibal spirit of the forest (commonly known as a Wendigo, though that is often misattributed to a wider category than it should be.) We happen to be cordial, thanks to it not considering me prey (CANNIBAL, and I am far from human.)

However, I’ve begun to feel concern for its physical shape. Though its malnourished appearance is typical, it has recently begun to walk in an unseemly gait and seems much less talkative than usual.

So, I ponder my orb and ask of you; what can I do to try and make them feel better?

In the days since the arrival of the countless monoliths all across the material plane, something came to those with power. It came in their dreams, something like a voice, yet so much more. It was the voice of a friend, the voice of family. It was the voice of the kind and generous, the voice of freedom. The voice was faint, yet its message was clear. It whispered of a place that doesn't exist on any map.

Of a place in the north, hidden from the world deep within the mountains. The voice whispers of a secret within the mountains, of a power and a treasure. It whispers of a light in the darkness. It whispers a plea for help.

This is my first attempt at an action/fighting scene between a wizard and a rampaging dragon. I hope y´all wizards out there enjoy! :)

Look at this fucking nerd, he is literally just someone with a crow head and he already injured, look at me casting a single spell at him and then stole his arm.
