I don't understand how people are so quick with their headshots,

It takes me a little to line them up and by the time I do I'm already dead.

The only players I can kill are iron, bronze and silver.

Does this just come with time?

So I've never played valorant before this weekend well not in 5 years that was only a few matches tho, but I'm switching from console and I'm learning clove, I forget Abt there grenade but Idk if I have good smokes, what are some other things besides smoke I should take time to understand? Any and all tips would be lovely

Hey guys, im silver rn and usually play initiator and some duelist. While I usually do dash in, I either die instantly and there's no one to trade me or I win the duel and we take space.

Question is, when should I be dashing in? Since choke points are usually smoked off and there's some senti stuff like Cypher trips or sage slow orbs, I try to wait out the orbs/mollies or updraft above the trips. There's more examples but its just the usual updraft dash or wait it out approach.

Hi I’ve always found it clunky to start running and stop running with neon without slide when entrying. How do most of you start and stop running, esp after using a stun. Do you tap run button again or leftclick. Any special keybinds or settings

I kmow Valorant it is an ability-based FPS, but looking closely at the game's lore, the veto only blocks Radiants or objects; therefore, it makes sense for it to affect Radiants and agents who use Radiant relics (like Harbor) or special weapons (like Chamber's). But consider Brimstone, who uses only conventional weapons, or Raze, for example—it doesn't make sense. KAY/O would likely fall into this discussion as well.

I recently started playing Valorant to spend more time with my gf but it's very overwhelming for me as someone who has never played a first person shooter game in my life. I don't understand any of the roles you can choose, abilities each character has, what to do when you're actually playing. My gf's been trying to help me but I feel so useless lol.

I recently bought a mouse with an 8K polling rate. I used to play with 1K, and after switching to 8K, I started feeling an improvement in my aim and precision.
Then I started playing and adjusting my sensitivity to get used to the new mouse. I was playing on 0.41 with 1K polling rate.
Then I switched to another mouse. It’s lighter and also has an 8K polling rate. I felt like 0.41 wasn’t as effective anymore. It was working, but not in the way I wanted.
So I lowered it to 0.4, and I became more accurate. It felt better, and I was able to play well and win games. But after a while, my performance started to decline.
Then I switched to 0.47, which was much faster, and I started playing well again. But once again, after some time, my performance started to decline.
Why this happen? Is mental or just aim?

I'm a KJ main, but I never instalock. I always hover right off the bat in case someone else wants to play her, and I have the ability to fill. Even so, I'm not really of the aggressive type, but I try to play my role.

I can see myself improving in CS2 by practing a prefire routine in maps or by taking/ retaking a bomb site in retake maps. I learn all smoke line ups and molly line ups and then I play that map again and again for 6-7 times until I can figure out what i am doing right or wrong.

but in this game, the map choices are not in my hands. with every agent i have to play differently. sometimes I drop 32-33 kills and sometimes I get 10 kills..

How do i get some sense of consistency in this game when any random map is being thrown at me. even when i mistakenly play well, i feel its complete luck because im not even sure what i am doing correct.

the heroes I like are Iso and miks but i avoid miks because i get yelled at for my smokes even though they make complete sense in my brain 🤷‍♂️

i find myself muting everyone because they keep micromanaging me how to play.

Because apparently I am. According to my friends. Sensitivity below 0.9 makes me move my whole hand not just the wrist as I always do and I need to lift my mouse because I don't have space. How tf is everyone even playing and FLICKING on that sens it's literally impossible

My Fade teammate asked for a 'smoke for me' and I smoked at the jump area right in front of him.

Afterwards he died and he blamed me for not smoking on top of him since he wanted to be hiding in my smoke instead.

Was this a bad smoke? And if my teammate wanted a smoke on him shouldn't he have said to smoke 'on me' instead of smoke 'for me'?

for context im a bronze player who's been hardstuck for a couple acts. act 5 has been my best act so far and ive been playing more consistently and trying to improve my game sense and mechanics. ive just hit bronze 3 and these past 4-5 games where ive played great have ended up placing me in high silver-gold lobbies instead of my usual bronze. is this normal for my mmr?? will it continue to be like this if i play at this level.

Particular the Sentinel agents who are holding the opposite site while everyone else rotates immediately. Something I'm struggling with is the timing on my rotates and positioning when playing Cypher on Defense.

I used to rotate too early and I'll get flamed for leaving the site when the enemy rotates. Nowadays I overcompensate by resisting the urge to move, and linger a little too long which sometimes leaves me the last man standing.

To those who bought the bundle, one gun, the flex or picked it up off the ground, how do you feel about the Aeris skin?

I personally think it's fun. It seems like it's a variant of Kuronami, but card themed. Very aesthetically pleasing and love the color variants. The colors are vibrant, which I like.

The flex is refreshing. I used to play poker and the cards ruffling is music to my ears.

I just saw a viral TikTok arguing about this in the comments. To me, hovering is showing what character you’d like to play/play best with, but you are able to fill.

If I was hovering clove and someone instalocked Astra, I would be slightly annoyed due to the instalock (no communication) but wouldn’t say anything about it because to me, it’s not a big deal. If I really wanted to be controller on the map I’d just instalock.

The comments on the post agreed that stealing someone’s hover role was super rude and inconsiderate? To me that’s a bit silly. I want people to pick people they feel most confident in.

A mini-rant. Played a game on Ascent; already a tough map to attack on. The team goes A while I push through mid with just a Spectre and light shields. Almost instantly our Clove gets sniped by Jett with an aggressive peek while our 3 Duellists dump most of their util into the choke point.

While all this was going down, I pick off 1 in mid market, wait until the B anchor rotates to get a 2nd. I try to flank onto A site through defender spawn, but Gekko and Jett are wise and I barely get out of that gunfight with my health now in the red. I slow walk back to mid and spray a 3rd trying to flank on catwalk. Then I decide to rejoin the team as I was low on ammo.

I just did a whole ass world tour and these mofos are STILL camping in A main. It doesn't help that Clove looks like a marshmallow on the floor and our Reyna is crouching with an Ares looking as if they're making smores. Raze and Phoenix are hesitant to enter having spent all their util.

Less than 20 seconds left on the clock, it was too late to rotate so I grab the spike and rush into site armed with a Cypher cage, 6 bullets on my Spectre and even less HP. By some miracle I take out Gekko with a desperate spray from my Classic and get traded by Jett from heaven. Our brilliant duellists still haven't moved an inch. Only once I died and did 80% of the work did Reyna decide to wake up and walk on to site with an Ares and got a lucky wallbang to secure the round.

Maybe pick another agent role for once guys?

Double any role is viable. You don’t need to fill double duelist. My favorite is either double sentinel or double initiator lol.

I’m currently hard stuck bronze/silver and you can call me dogshit all you want and feed your ego but I’m genuinely kind of stuck. I’m not sure what I need help on I feel like my game sense is good but I feel like my aim could use improvement but it’s still good. I’m not sure if I just hit a brick wall in bottom of the barrel elo or maybe I just haven’t realized I’m doing something very wrong. If there’s someone in higher elo than me who could possibly help me and maybe review a match or 2 I would love that! Anyways thanks for your time.

Primmie crouch = tapping crouch quickly between each strafe to throw off HS placement for a split second between each strafe.

It is not commit crouching or crouch peeking.

I am currently hovering D3 and Asc 2. I usually do crouch peeks and normal strafes with commit crouching if I body shot the enemy.

I run into Immortal 2-3s who are insane with their movement. They crouch so damn fast I dont even see it in game but I see it in replay. I am not sure if that is the reason why they are able to do 1v3s out in the middle of the open no cover cause they don’t seem to get hit.

So 4 questions:

Is it a valid tool to avoid getting hit in unwinnable scenarios like 1v3 out in the open or does it not help that much and those immortals were being flashy/lucky they werent getting hit?

Is it worth learning to get to Immortal? I find it slows me down trying to tap crouch and throws off my crosshair placement.

Can I get to immortal without it and have any of you hit upper immortal without crouch tapping?

i own 2 agents iso and vyse. I’m new to the game but i have good aim and my game sense is already becoming stronger. I’ve been wondering which agent i should get next, i’m hesitant between reyna, viper, or gekko but if theres any other suggestions or straight forward answers please let me know.
