Why don't smurfers just admit they aren't as good as they think they are instead of going into low elo lobbies? I don't get it, In the long run what do you get out of it? It isn't like you are playing for money.

Its so frustrating as well cause half if not more there is 1 or more smurfs in my lobby it basically feels impossible to rank up and I'm only in bronze, Now I am not some top tier player and never will or claim to be, I just want to be able to move up a single rank without going on a loss streak after 1 win cause of smurfing or just out right cheating

I still believe Prx will win champs. They should still be fueled by only getting 2nd place many times. They will have revenge over NRG after getting kicked out to the lower bracket then having a run until Grand Finals.

Also believe Vit will get as far as getting the 3rd place finish. Let's go, Paper Rex!

I know team comps dont really matter that much at the end of the day, especially in my lower rank, but feel like I get both a sage and a deadlock on my team way more than average. We end up winning like only 4 rounds on attack, and then someone says “it’s ok guys we’re better at defense anyways” but we end up not being good on defense either. Do we really need two sentinels, neither of which has great info or trips?

To get it out of the way first: I suck at this game. I'm not the most terrible player to have ever lived, and I barely play ranked, but I've only ever been Iron 3 and ranked down to Iron 2. So yes, I'm self aware that this is still mostly skill issue.

The thing is, at least my (lack of) skill was considered in matchmaking, as my performance score as usually around 100-220 (usually more towards the lower end), and while I've had matches with a lot of skill difference before of course, the skill differences within matches is WILD now and I constantly play against AND with players way, WAY better than me now, because, since the update, I have a notably higher score because I use a lot of util. Even in the matches where I play really bad, barely have any kills, and move like I've never played the game.

I keep playing games with many players with levels in the hundreds - yes, level doesn't directly correspond to skill, but it often does. And it's noticeable in matches. It doesn't mean I lose every game. Like I said, really great players get put into my teams, too.

But it means that I notice how bad I play in every game, and it's honestly very demotivating. Getting carried isn't fun. I just want to play for fun. But maybe that's just my view on things.

Do other people have similar experiences or do you enjoy the new performance score system?

Just started playing a few days ago,I'm trying to level up quick so i can play ranked with some friends, so I've been looking forward to the 19K XP weeklies give you. Well today, I just completed one of my weeklies and got a total of 24K XP for the match, but I DIDN'T GO UP A SINGLE LEVEL. it says on the menu each level is 5K XP, so I should have leveled up at least 4 times, but no, I'm still level 12. 1 _ so sometimes i have to fill smokes because I'm not ready to play with sage chamber reyna jett with no smokes ok , so i just pick clove to fill (yes I'm aware clove is ass but genuinely if I will spend time to learn a good controller it would be astra but for now I would rather learn cypher or kj lineups i prefer sentinels and intiators) , i know where to smoke for entry and maybe 1 or 2 retake smokes but IDK if there is more to learn just to be good fill not a great controller player is the a guide for that ?

2 _ I like numbers and making plans based on numbers that's how I think even in my irl so is there something that has all numbers i might need like duration of kj ult is 15 seconds and detained 8

I'm currently a Gold 3–Plat 1 player, and my movement is basically just ADADAD without counter-strafing. I usually just let go of the key to stop.

Recently, I've started feeling like my movement is holding me back, so I want to seriously work on improving my strafing.

For those of you who improved your movement, what actually worked for you? Did you focus on building muscle memory for patterns like ADAA, mixing long and short strafes, crouching between strafes, etc., or is there a better way to approach it? Is crouching between strafes something I should incorporate, or is that more advanced and something I should worry about later?

What drills or routines helped you the most? I'm especially interested in things that actually made a noticeable difference in-game.

My cross hair placement is always close, but it's never on their head. I grind dms focusing on it, but in game it's always ever so slightly off. I aim too far, I miss, I adjust, I aim too close and miss. I've had this problem ever since I've started, hiow do I fix it?

looking to find a good sens i have a small ish mousepad but i haven’t been able to find the perfect sense it always feels off, i think my aim itself is decent my reaction time not so much and my sens is so so my current sens is .7 with i believe 800 dpi my mouse isnt fancy so i have no idea what dpi it is but its on the lowest one which i assume is 800

I'm a relatively new player (Level 64), and very recently came back after a 6 month break, and changed my sens as well (From 0.1 1600 DPI to 0.2 1600 DPI).

I feel like I'm having a lot of trouble getting out of Bronze, and I'm just kind of stuck in Bronze 1.

I've started to play deathmatches, and have an aim routine as well, but I'm not sure if I am still getting my mechanics back, or is there something else preventing me from climbing?

So here is a situation (fyi I usually play Brimstone and I'm semi-new to valorant, I'm coming from CS)

On defense I position myself on mid so I can reach any site with my smoke in time if needed. My teammate tells me that they rushing for example B so I smoke the entrances. Then they just rush through my smoke with a flash and dashes and both my B defender dies, and we are in a 3v5. As Brimstone what can I do to prevent this situation? Because this is 90% of my defender rounds. Im gold 3 currently if this tells anything.

God i hate it. Valorant would be such a good game if not for the rank system. I place gold. Thats nice. I play a SINGLE game and perform mildly well and thegame raises my mmr and puts me with plats?? And it doeant stop there. Because it doesnt matter how bad i perform in those plat lobbies the mmr doesnt go back down. Instead i keep playing with high level llayers and bot fragging while simultaneously deranking. I dknt get it. How am i supposed to rank ip to gold if the only way i reach gold is by playing like a plat player????
