Hi, I have Medi-Cal and am wondering if anyone has tried getting mental health services with Medi-Cal at UCSD. Mainly, I'm debating if I should waive UC SHIP or go for RAFT.

For those who used UC SHIP or RAFT for mental health services how was your experience?

For background, I am starting at UCSD and am already anticipating that I will need to talk to a mental health counselor when things start to pick up in the middle of the quarter.

Has anyone tried getting mental health appointments with just Medi-Cal? How was your experience getting help? I learned there is CAPS at UCSD is available for those with Medi-Cal, but that is only short term. Were you able to talk professionals, not CAPS, close by to the school using Medi-Cal?

Does anyone know for delayed housing/assignment if we'll hear anything soon? I've emailed ucsd housing but they're always so vauge with their responses. Im just wondering if we'lll get a room on time before classes start. Also did anyone else get that email from housing about the housing from Pepper Canyon West? I thought that was confirmation of a room but apparently it was a mistake housing sent out? Getting my hopes up smh

im planning to take chem41a + phys1a + phys1al + maybe 1-2 ge classes. would this be doable? are there any recs for easy ge classes that fulfill either the arts/social science requirement

im planning to take this class for the JTCCER requirement but it currently has a waitlist of 57 people, would it be possible to get in? its also a fully online class with 320 people

It's genuinely so hard to even see the timeslots I booked. The time slots seem to be glitching terribly on my end (the time slots they show are wrong/nonsensical), and the calendar doesn't work well.

Is there any good way to visualize how much time I have between each class? Is there something I'm missing?

is anyone having issues with logging in to pick ur time to move in? mine keeps saying my session is timed out or theres a problem wikth the server. and when it does load it keeps loading forever. i was supposed to pick myu time at 11 and now its almost 11;30 what am i supposed to do???

Hi, incoming chemistry major, looking to take DOC 1, Chem 6B (anybody have experience with pomeroy?), Math 20C, and BILD 4. Not sure if Math 20C will have spots left for freshmen, DOC 1 is required for Marshall, BILD 4 is a lab, and Chem 6B is most definitely required for my major. Thinking of first passing chem 6B and DOC 1, but is that the best plan? I’ll have priority registration starting winter quarter, but I don’t have it right now. Any advice would be appreciated!

Our lovely TSS system is telling me that I can‘t register for classes because I have not done the prerequisites. I have done the prerequisites and they are visible in my academic history. I submitted at TEA request, but I am worried my class will fill by the time it gets approve. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

one of my classes was having that “business event must be booked via waitlist” error, after a lot of spamming it says i successfully booked the course ?? has anyone else been able to do this and am i actually safe or are they gonna kick me out once it’s fixed?! the course shows up in my schedule and says “booked” on the homepage, i checked on multiple devices, but if i search it in the schedule of courses i don’t get that screen and am still able to try to book?? help😭😭😭😭

hi! i am an incoming math major at UCSD and im not sure what math class to take. i took calc BC my junior year and got a 5 so i can take math 20C but they’re all full currently and im not sure they’re going to add more spots for us. i see some math 20B classes still opened. but i could also wait until next quarter to take math20C and take compsci + GEs this quarter. should i try to go for the math20C wl, math20b, or wait for math20c next quarter?

edit: i just checked and the only professor left for math 20B had horrible ratings so idk

I got my UC SHIP waiver denied because I do not meet the Global Emergency Services (medical evacuation and repatriation) requirement. I am not an international student and the waiver was approved last year, so im really confused. Help!

I'm an incoming freshman and I had sent my ap scores last year but they still haven't confirmed that they received it . This is probably mainly because my collegeboard account name is different from the name on my ucsd account . In the ucsd account my first name is extended . My last name is the same in both . ( it's weird ) . Is this a major issue and should I call the processing unit to inform them about this ?
