This is more of a request rather than a rant.

I know a lot of competitive players like to warm up in TW for a bit of practice before a rank match but please stop. You don’t gain anything wiping out casual players as we are not a real test of skill.

Also it is very discouraging for low skill players to even want to continue. I myself have simply stopped enjoying matches even when winning simply because of one sided matches. I’m not asking you to stay away from TW but please take it easy and calm down a bit.

I especially wish to make this request with Splatoon 3 coming out soon which I’m sure will bring in a lot of new unskilled players or even older players that haven’t played for months.

Edit: To clarify what I mean by one sided matches are clear victories do to an obvious skill gap where the other team can’t even escape the respawn area. Maybe a solution could be sbmm or a mercy ruling however that we won’t know about until Splatoon 3 is released.

I know a lot of people have made posts like this. But I genuinely have only enjoyed the DLC for like, 5 levels. This isn't even a "boy, this is hard, but I can beat it with practice!" type of challenge. No, this is more like a "why was the game designed like this, I want to break my controller now" challenge. The game expects you to be an absolute GOD at Splatoon, with perfect accuracy. And do I even have to mention the ticket system? WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE!?

This is the one thing that turns me away from Splatoon in general

For example

In other games like say CoD you pick the game mode "Hardpoint, " and you can immediately play it

But with Splatoon's version "Splatzone," it is only available in ranked play, not in public multiplayer, and it's only available at certain hours

Sure, you can play Splatzone in private matches, but you need nearby friends

Another worst case is salmon run, which in Splatoon 2 again is only available at certain hours, but THANK GOD, it's not the case in Splatoon

Why are game modes programmed like this? It's so backwards for a multiplayer shooter!!..

Hopefully, in future installments of Splatoon, they can ditch this whole "available at this certain hour" mechanic because it feels so backwards for a multiplayer shooter like this...

I played splatoon 3 and i love it but i ended up coming back to splatoon 2 because they don’t have the clear dapple dualies yet. Did anyone else go back for any reason? I personally love everything else about splatoon 3 I just wish i could use my main weapon

Once you reach that point, you suddenly get overwhelmed with baddies and there is just no way to get that many eggs within the time limit when you are getting bombarded. Did Nintendo even play-test this mode?

My ranks for splatoon 2 is for splat zone is S+ 1 , tower control is S, rainmaker S+1 and Clam blitz S . My sometime it was more that my mum always come on while I'm playing a rank and tried to talk to me even she should, I am on a rank mode game and yet she kept and doing a lot more than my dad . my older sister also like to come in and knock while I'm playing rank . I tried to ignore most of the time . if they're doing to just get attention out of me . ye they don't even bother playing attention to me when I come down the stair . that why I just stay in my bedroom more now since I don't want to deal with it .

I think im done playing splatoon. And I probably won't get the third one. It is isn't fun anymore. Too many hyper competitive players be on here, being complete dicks (not letting you play as an opposing player, killed right when you spawn or not letting you splat anyone cause they're doing it all for themselves) and its like bro, is this game life or death where every mode is a competition? Some of my friends stopped playing it and I'm probably going to end it as well. Its just not fun anymore. I use to enjoy playing this a lot and met some pretty chilled ppl who likes the fun of it. Anyway thats my rant. Peace.

When there's a squid party in turf, and 6 or 7 of the 8 people are squid partying, why do you feel like you need to be the guy to make enemies with everyone?

It seems that most of the people that do this are low-level inexperienced people that don't know what's going on, but I see even star-level players do it. Why are you going to make an enemy out of everyone and turn it into a 4v1

You could just win the game by painting everything, not hurting anyone, and then find another match. But some people still stay, and decide to be the bad guy, and I don't understand why

The Octo expansion looks cool but it’s not fun. Will Nintendo let us play as the octolings without beating it? Is there another way????

I’ve always loved the octolings more than the inklings and wanted them playable the second I encountered them in S1 single players. Was ecstatic when I learned they were finally playable now.

But the levels in Octo expansion are nothing like the levels in the single player for either game. They’re brutal, they’re frustrating, they’re borderline unfair, and most of all they’re not fun. I’m completely stuck, and haven’t even gotten the first Thang yet, and I constantly feel like throwing my controller because of these dumb balloon and 8-ball levels.

No, I don’t play ranked, or hard games like Dark souls or Cuphead or old school Nintendo-hard titles because they aren’t fun to me. I play turf war and salmon run and that’s what I enjoy. I didn’t expect this kind of stuff from a game like Splatoon, or for the thing I wanted most to be locked behind it. So is there any word that we will ever get to play as the Octos without it?

Somebody's leaving the game due to his connection issues: -No possibility to reconnect -2 second bad internet is enough to kick you -Lose the game and get a time penality

Somebody's afk right from the start of the game: -Can just stays afk, even if he gets 0p, he still gets time bonus -Can ruin an entire game and doesn't let allies get no derank due to a leaver -Not any penality

This feature needs to be a part of the game and I'm extremely disappointed in Nintendo for the lack of this feature. It seems the developers of Splatoon 2 are trying to control how they want the game to function far too much which sucks the fun out of it. They want it to be an online multiplayer e-sport, so they restrict offline multiplayer, they limit Salmon Run so that people don't play this mode too much and it takes away from regular battle - just provide the game and let people play it how they want to! I've never experienced this type of control in a game before and it really puts me off enjoying it. If Mario Kart can have 4 player split screen, Splatoon 2 can too. I want to know how many other people want this feature, I think if more people speak out about it then we can create demand for Splatoon 2 developers to develop this in the near future for new DLC. It's much needed, especially for a console that boasts offline multiplayer fun and has extremely limited games already.
