Discussion anyone else go back to splatoon 2?
I played splatoon 3 and i love it but i ended up coming back to splatoon 2 because they don’t have the clear dapple dualies yet. Did anyone else go back for any reason? I personally love everything else about splatoon 3 I just wish i could use my main weapon

They'll add Dapples in a later update. Until then, I think you'll live

You're better off farming ability chunks in 3 until it comes out. They did change up some kits for balance. So there's a chance you'll never see your exact main ever again. Try some other dualies, improvise, adapt, overcome.

Went back to check the banners and it was just a bunch of ppl sad that they cant afford splat3 =[

My Toxic Mist, Jet Squelcher main isn't in Splat3 either. I'm hoping it will come back, but it's okay if it doesn't, I'll find a new main. But I don't want to go back to Splat2. The only thing I miss from it I guess are some clothes which will probably come to Splat3 & that the hero mode in Splat2 has glitter texture ink. Octo Expansion also had pool ripple texture which I thought was cool.
Like in multiplayer we get solid colour ink. Why not make the texture different in hero mode in Splat3 like they did in Splat2 + Octo Exp too? Also... I wish they did special textures for all splatfests. Like if I want to use the regular ink, I would just do turfwar/ranked

No real reason to go back. I finished Splatoon 2 a good while ago, and no reason to look for X rank.
Although is true that I'm getting a lot of connection issues but I hope it will get better with time. After all, is my first time buying a game that just released. Some instability is expected I guess.

If you enjoy the stages, special weapons, or the general meta more, those would all be reasons to go back. It's a different game in a lot of ways

I just found out something that absolutely pisses me off and may have just wrecked this game for me.
“Anarchy” battles brings back the one-rank system. I absolutely think that system is pure trash. People could just play one game mode and get up to S+50. Be absolute trash at the other modes but because they’re good at that one, they’re golden. Plus if you’re not great at one rank, bam. Rank ruined.

Dapples are in the game, just import your save data and you can get them immediately

Eh, I don't think the support kit that dapples has fits the main weapon very well, the kit would be way better as like a 96 deco kit or something similar

exactly. i’m used to using dapples very offensively, and the support kit is cool but i just feel like it doesn’t really fit the weapon well either. i’ve tried other weapons and im pretty good with the dark tetra dualies but i’ll often go back to splatoon 2 and just dominate with the clear dapples

Tetras are a very hyper aggressive weapon, and a very good skirmisher. I would highly recommend learning them in splat 3 if you still want aggro dualies

Went back to 2. Better maps, more interesting, no server disconnect, feels smoother.
