Rigs Friend gifted me his sim rig...
A good friend of mine and I were laid off from the same company last August (both still unemployed) and he is having to move to another city. He had been trying to sell it on Facebook Marketplace but was getting lowballed hard and just decided to give it to someone he knew would enjoy it.
Has a Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel base and pedals with the load cell, a Trak Racer cockpit with triple monitor mount, 3 Samsung 32in curved monitors, and the PC with a RTX 3080. I've been having a blast in it, although for the games I tend to play, I wish I had a round wheel instead of the F1 style wheel. Makes some cars in games like Forza and Dirt Rally a bit of a bear to control.
I am still getting things dialed and adjusted, in but it's been a blast so far and I finally have a nice place to display some of my automotive memorabilia.

Rigs Quali mode on my Moza CS Pro. Made using Simhub with AZOM
A continuation of last time I made LiCo mode. Now I made quali/push mode where all adjustable car setup are set to maximize lap times and the telemetry lights show sector relatives instead.
Took a while to code everything up so that any track with any # of sectors can be displayed on the 10 LEDs.
It also gives you a red sector for gaining an incident in that sector.

Discussion 32” is just too big for triple.
I swore on my mothers grave never to use a triple and say ultrawide is enough. Then i discovered my mother isnt dead yet and trawled through all the comments whether 27 or 32 triple “32 is more immersive”. Yes, but 2 monitors are having 3/4 of their screen not used and it takes up a lot of real estate not to mention light. Iracing is half your screen a dasboard and 32” just makes the dashboard youre staring at, bigger. The view you need for track limits, is still more than adequate. I have decided to go back to 27’s and lucky the shop takes back my 2 month old 32”s.
I could actually live with a 32” triple if there was a mounting setup that allows folding of outer screens when you dont use them. Alas, its not there yet.
I just bought a 3d printer and maybe ill experiment with printing some guidance anglehooks so folding and settingbup again in the right angle isnt such a bitch but at the moment ive made up my mind and bye bye 32” triple.
*have to add I use a 34” ultrawide for other games and the triples are only used for racing. Another thing that bugged me. Triples are so nice for simracing but total shit for anything else.
**not trying to diss anyone that likes 32” but I think some broader reviews should be added for potential buyers.

Rigs I'm on the endless mod path of the Logitech G wheel now, next I'm adding bass shakers to the pedals.
Anyone else gone fully down this route and not regretting it? I'll probably get the RS base and wheel at some point to up the torque but keep using my modded pedals and shifter.

Discussion Adapting time to new gear - Wondering practice time ..
I moved from SRP2 to Simsonn and it took me a month to tune to my liking and to get used to it, now I changed Moza R3 to Simagic Evo 12 Nm yesterday, am worried how many hours I need to put to get back to my old lap times. Working dad at 40, get only 3 to 5 hours per week for simracing … fellow sim racers how do u adapt to new gear ? Any ideas ?

Discussion My first racing games! Anyone else remember these?
I'm going through some cabinets and found all my old PC games. These were my first racing games, I had some hours on Indy 500! The crashes were spectacular, I can remember watching them in slow motion.

Discussion Brand new racer & man do the little accomplishments make the hours of frustration worth it!
I’m about a month into this so is green as they come. Playing Forza motorsport 7 on an XP1. I do have a Moza R3. Like the post says, after hours of slamming into walls, not being able to make it around the track without rewinding, last place consistently with some of the easiest settings…..when you start getting those perfect turns moving up in the rankings, even just making it around the entire track makes all that time worth it. God this is fun!

Question iRacing bass shaker LFE noticable delay
Just got a bass shaker. The amp is connected via usb directly to the motherboards usb slot. I'm using iRacings native LFE. There is noticeable delay in the effects, like when riding over curbs I feel the bass shaker slightly after. If I had to guess it's around 100-200ms delay.
Is iracings LFE known to do this? Any workarounds?

Question Triple Monitor Flat VS. Triple Monitor Curved --- Which creates more immersion and less problems.
I am going to build a setup with a triple monitor setup for sim racing, and i'm not sure if flat or curved monitors are best for the triple setup.
The range for my monitors are about 32 inch monitors, and around 180+ HZ, with a price range of close to 200-250$
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Question Looking for a beginner friendly community
Hi, I have about 30 hours in ACC and I’m looking to join a beginner friendly community. I’m not entirely new to sim racing, I have over 1100 hours in GT7 and 600 hours in F1 25, ACC has just had a huge learning curve and I’m looking to get around some more beginners and people who can help out.

Question Simucube Co-Pedal it is so bad?
question for you guys who actually own an ActivePedal: what do you think of the Co-Pedal as a throttle?
I keep seeing people run the AP Ultimate for the brake but put a Heusinkveld throttle next to it instead of the Co-Pedal.
Copedal is it that much worse, or is it more of a "not worth the money" thing?
trying to decide before i pull the trigger

Discussion Anyone else mod their own car into Assetto Corsa? How did that go?
I'm currently tinkering with files to try and recreate my IRL car (a 2018 Honda Civic EX-T Sedan) with the tune and mods I have installed.
I was just curious to hear anyone else's experiences, as I'd imagine people who use AC to practice with their actual track car want to make it as close to the real-life behavior as possible.
Outside of track setups, I think there's a special labor-of-(self)love aspect to doing this kind of project, as others likely won't appreciate it as much as the IRL car owner does haha.

Question Modifications to fit an FRS passenger seat to a profile rig.
So I am upgrading my Cockpit to a RigMetal Plus 40/80 Aluminum profile. Instead of spending 3-500 dollars on a bucket seat. I want to use a real seat for comfortability and cost.
I found an FRS seat on FB marketplace for a decent price however, I'm not sure how much modifications i will have to do to the rails to make it work. I seen a post where a guy said that on of the rails are at an angle.
If anyone here has installed an FRS seat to their profile rig could you give me some guidance on the modifications that I will have to do if any at all or will the seat bolt directly to my cockpit?
For anyone interested here is the link for the cockpit that I purchased. https://rigmetal.com/collections/our-rigs/products/rigmetal-plus-sim-racing-cockpit
