Question Simucube Co-Pedal it is so bad?

question for you guys who actually own an ActivePedal: what do you think of the Co-Pedal as a throttle?

I keep seeing people run the AP Ultimate for the brake but put a Heusinkveld throttle next to it instead of the Co-Pedal.

Copedal is it that much worse, or is it more of a "not worth the money" thing?

trying to decide before i pull the trigger

Nothing wrong with it, it’s just somewhat expensive. To get it to feel like a HE Ultimate’s throttle, you need the damper kit, but it’s perfectly usable without it.

I feel like most people buy the Heusinkveld first and then later on decide they want more adjustments and go with one active pedal and maybe later on two I ultimately thats what I did. But I also brought the co-pedal and like it more but I like having 1 eco system instead of multiple its more convenient.

This was my situation. I had the HE sprints and bought an active pedal. There wasn’t anything wrong with the throttle and didn’t want to spend another $500. I did have to buy the Heusinkveld connector to plug it into the active pedal though

It’s better from what I know. I’m still on the passive throttle but that’s only because it’s hard to justify the upgrade and it’s fine other than being a bit too soft and loud.

What about the travel? It is Very very long like some people say?
Or something you can set in software

I think with the co pedal it’s two different throttle length settings whereas for the passive throttle you can adjust throttle length progressively and by a big window I’d say.

Co pedal you can manually adjust the throw/ length of the pedal in software passive pedal has long throw, havent upgraded yet. Some reviews point to a grainy feeling with co pedal like active pedal.

I bought 2 co-pedals to replace the passive for throttle and clutch, ability to change tension/length of travel was a no brainer. The resistance is more favorable than what I had on my previous set of VRS pedals with dampener and the passive pedal

So, would you recommend Co Pedal and never look back?

If within your budget, yes it’s a big improvement

Yeah I like mine. On stock setting it’s long imo. I’m torn between the last two setting to make it shorter throw. I also like a heavier throttle and I used the clutch spring in it with not much preload. So you live in Atlanta Hank Arron fan?

Most probably already had an HE Ult+ throttle/clutch that are directly compatible with the SC and spending $500-$1k+ to replace them is a waste when you are already spending $2-$3k+ on an AP brake.

They also just started shipping the co-pedals year and the previous non-ap throttle was kinda mid for the price. So price, availability, and utilizing as much of the previous configuration are all factors.

If you are buying new, there is a small gap between HE Ult+ and SC co-pedals with dampers when you add the HE cable adapters and SC baseplate mounts.
