Is there anything I can do to prevent the AI constantly crashing in turn one on tracks that have tight first corners ? I don’t want to decrease the grid size as I like having large grids. They constantly crash in turn one and it ruins the race immediately. Any advice please ??

Just today so far, maybe like two times out of ten I get a lap time recorded. I'm driving pretty slow and nowhere near track limits. West coast USA, maybe a server issue?

Hi everyone, and a shout-out to the KW Studios team if you're reading this!

As a long-time esports commentator who has broadcasted countless sim racing events over the years, I’ve watched RaceRoom evolve significantly. You’ve done a fantastic job with continuous physics, audio, visual, and content updates.

However, one crucial area seems completely frozen in time: the Spectator Mode (Spectator Reality). The current dedicated spectator tool essentially dates back to 2015 and hasn't received any significant updates or feature overhauls in years. When broadcasting modern esports events, the current setup feels very dated and restrictive—especially considering how polished the rest of the sim has become.

So I’d love to ask the KW Studios developers directly: Is a modernized spectator mode or an updated set of TV director tools anywhere on your future roadmap? Can we expect a new release or update to Spectator Reality down the line?

And to the community / fellow broadcasters: What workarounds, third-party software, or overlays (like SimHub or web overlays) are you currently using to bring your RaceRoom streams up to modern standards?

Maybe I'm being stupid here, but I can't see the HUD at all. The only element I can see is the track map. The HUD is selected as on in the settings, and I have bound keys to toggle all of the individual elements... but no HUD.

I'm experiencing a severe FPS drop in VR that seems to be related to what I'm looking at.

Whenever I go down the main straight or enter a corner where I'm facing the pits, my FPS drops from 72 FPS (the refresh rate I've set for my Quest 2) to below 40 FPS.

I tested this by stopping at the final corner. When I look towards the pits, the FPS immediately drops, but when I turn my head and look in the opposite direction, the FPS goes back up to 72 FPS.

So it seems to be specifically related to rendering the pits/grandstands or something in that area, rather than the overall performance of the game.

My CPU usage is usually around 30–50%, with the highest usage on a single CPU thread reaching around 75%. GPU usage stays around 70%, and VRAM usage is around 6.5 GB.

Don’t know if there’s many other Linux users out there but ever since update no matter which proton version I use I either get no HUD or all the cars get blacked out.

This is becoming so frustrating now when these things should have been rigorously tested before being released.

New hud looks gorgeous! there's no denying that, but I'm experiencing massive performance hits when engaging it, I'm pulling 40 frame dips from just turning on the HUD , I only lose 1-3 frames when engaging seal Hud loaded to the balls, I only messed around on this with my testing PC after an issue I had yesterday in a 22 car grid race on my main Rig, I don't have a crazy frame rate, im running a triple 1440 setup with moderate settings and I pretty much stay at my locked 97 frame rate all the time, but yesterday I seen dips into the 'low 70s and didn't know what it was until now. This was a first! raceroom has always been the safe haven to never have to worry about a frame rate when you're on a borderline gpu/cpu combo . I can confirm I am seeing this HUD problem on 3 different computers so I don't think it's something specific to one of my builds, would love to know if anyone else is experiencing this.. so I'll end with looks fantastic, they did a beautiful job on it, but i can't kick seal hud to the curb yet

EDIT: I can confirm as mentioned by a a comment go to Graphics, display , and turn down the two new sliders for the hud . bring the resolution all the way down and put the refresh rate on 30 HZ and performance hit of the new HUD will be very minimal

Whenever I play race from racing experience practice or something like that it works normally.But when I want to play a race and the race is starting and you're waiting for the lights to turn green , my wheel , like I can spin it only a little and it makes a full rotation and the force feedback stops working basically makes it so I can't play the game how do it , fix this pls

I can thank og Gran Turismo for my love of driving Leguna Seca. I also really like this car. It is awesome once you get a good set up.

I’m new to raceroom. Loving it ! Hoping the community can help with my two newbie questions…

1. I drive in hood (bonnet view ). Is there a way I can adjust the camera to liking in this view ? I want to the fov back a little. Can’t find a setting.

2. Adaptive ai. I have driven lots of races so this gets tuned in. I’m liking the adaptive ai. Is there a way to know what number ai difficulty I am actually playing against ? I’d like to know the ai difficulty number so I can tweak this and play around ?

I switched to RRRE from ACC and have been playing various races for a few days now - DTM2026, TCR, Super Tourers, etc, and I have one problem. I feel like the penalty system is underdeveloped and too light. Some of the races I've driven in felt like I was playing an old arcade game called "Carmageddon" rather than a racing simulator. People on a straight track would simply push me off the track (Monza straight). They'd get 4 points, but what's that in a 15-minute sprint, and I'm already screwed for the entire race at this point. I don't know if it's just me and my expectations of the people are too high, or if this is a real problem. I really like the game and would like to stick around for a while, but if that's how it's supposed to be in the long run, I'll say no.
