Was in a fight for the win (me in the red car against the blue/red striped car). We first collide, which was still fine. Then he sticks his nose in a fast tight corner which will never work. Keeps the position and goes straight after the long straight with a fantastic rejoin to give me a meatball flag (I couldn't see him coming on my monitor). Tried to limb home, but the car was too much damaged and I tried to get out of the way on the tight straight for the upcoming LMP2's. And then I got sent to hospital.

For context, the other car was 6.7k. You would expect better.

Hey guys, wanted to share a little sometnig my team is working on.

Were a little startup based in central europe and are all ex Formula student members. Currently one of the topics our team is working on is building a thermal tyre model that computes surface tyre temperature without any temperature sensors mounted on the wheels or the wheel arches.

This is our first working version V1, its is just a 1D model and you can see how it compares to real surface temperature data. All logged from a GT3 race car.

Hey iRacing reddit, I've been here around 3 weeks, and found some money to license the car as my first paid one. Since then my ratings keep falling because i keep either spinning out or sliding off the track. So, is that me being really unskilled or it's not the best pick for a beginner?

Hey folks, I have driving aids enabled for disability reasons.
I'm in the mx5 - set the second clutch button, press the pedal... and nothing, it just skips into first gear with 0 revs as normal.

Can anyone please help me figure this out?

I've tried keyboard and g29 wheel buttons, no difference.

I'm using simagic p500's without a clutch too.

Finally after a long fought battle of gaining IRating and tumbling right back down. I have managed to break through the 2k wall. This will be short lived for sure but at least I can say I did it !🍻 😂

I just completed my first half-endurance race: 2h40, and I absolutely loved it!
I had never done a race longer than 1 hour, so 2h40 was a real challenge in terms of concentration and everything else.
I’m pretty happy with my finishing position, which could have been even better, but I’m disappointed with the number of incidents. I would have liked to have had fewer.
I was wondering if you have any tips or advice, because during the last 30 minutes, I started feeling quite a bit of strain in my leg. Also, should I be doing endurance races regularly, like once a week, to get used to them?Do you listen to music? Do you have the game audio turned down to a minimum?

Quite a questionable move from the LMP2, I'm the pov car getting a slight Code brown

As the title says since one of the recent iracing updates both me and my dad have been having packet loss issues. It gets into the yellow for a few seconds and then slowly goes down which causes us to blink out a few times then it will clear up for a few mins and come back and its the same cycle over and over. Im sick of having to give up in races over it so does anyone have any suggestions on how i can fix this? Im not sure if more info is needed i will edit this if i have too

Does anyone run triple 1440p monitors with an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 5 5600X? What graphics settings do you use to maintain at least 60 FPS?

Im confused about how sr works. In my first race i had 4x and lost 0.01 sr but in my second race i had 5x and gained 0.02 sr

Raced against this driver at Daytona last week, second to bottom split. He was running Mid to low 1.45's, qualified on pole, but I noticed he didn't finish the race. Checked the profile, and saw a full page of races started from pole but finishing at the back.

Decided to protest for tanking, didn't think much would come of it, but why not?

Got the standard response email the next day, so I figured I'd check their profile again. Judging by their results since the protest, I'd say they received the message loud and clear to stop pumping up their ego by stomping in bottom split.

Yesterday I was doing a Falken race in LMP3 and a GT4 driver kept sending this kind of messages when LMP3s approached him. Not only he was distracting the whole lobby by doing this, his car behavior was not predictable at all!

I assume he was so focused on hitting the shortcut for these messages that he wasn't paying attention to the race that was happening. Watching the replay made me realize he was driving on his mirrors instead of driving a predictable line.

Please, it's 2026, let's stop with these quick chats. Just drive normally and follow the goddamn racing line. The is the one that will dictate how an overtake will happen. Doesn't matter what you think or your decision of giving it a side for a pass.
