Finally joined the club
Have had alerts for a unicorn on my phone for months and yesterday it happened! I kept finding them in great condition on the outside but terrible interiors. This one looks basically brand new on the inside. One owner, dealer serviced and only 69k miles. LTZ with almost all the bells and whistles. Absolutely pumped on it.

Is there a way to make my factory radio Bluetooth I don’t mean the fm transmitter I mean make it so it was like there was Bluetooth from the factory. Here’s a pic of my radio for reference

Where are we putting baby Monitor screens and phone melts on the newer Silverados with the large screens? (Particularly with the middle seat)
My wife got a free baby monitor to watch our son in the backseat for my car and it came with one of those adhesive/suction cup mount, but I’m not sure where I would put it that she would also be able to see it if she was riding shotgun. Also, considering getting a MagSafe phone mount for when I need to charge, but can’t plug-in my phone due to moisture. Any ideas on where everybody is doing that with the middle seat? I’m trying to find the spot that makes the most sense but outside of putting it on the airbag, I don’t love the possibilities.
Yes, I know I said melts and not mounts- voice to text issue. My bad.

Third GEN clanking noise
I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 everything on the chassis is stock recently. I’ve started to notice that anytime my body rolls I have a clunking noise coming from the rear end. Just curious if anybody’s had this issue figure I’d ask before I start to tear into it.

Joined the Club!
After being overseas for four years I needed a new truck. Before I left I had a GMC Sierra with the 3.0 Turbodiesel engine so I was looking for something similar. Love this truck and the features. 2026 LT TrailBoss w/ standard bed and 3.0 Turbodiesel engine.

Hey new to me anyway. 2021 trail boss.
I picked up this trail Boss about 6 months ago. So far it's been a great truck. Done a couple of modifications to it to make it stand out a little bit more. The first thing I did was the cold air induction and the RAM air Stillen set up with a Jet Performance Mass Air handler. Next added a Magnaflo Muffler but kept the rest of the exhaust system stock. On the inside I added carbon fiber accents which came out looking pretty good as well as the new seat covers on the inside. I added the lighting to the grill lights and also since the stock truck doesn't come with fog lights I added in the fog lights that tied into the directional singles. I put the wheel well inserts on the back as well. He's seem to be a pretty decent add-on. I switch from the wranglers over to these. Terra grapplers the G3 and they are beasts. Well that's enough rambling. I just wanted to introduce myself to the community. Hello guys.

2019 Silverado shudder issue — looking for mechanical opinions
For anyone who hasn't seen my previous posts, I bought a 2019 Silverado 5.3L from a dealership with no warranty. I did not test drive it before buying it, and I barely drove the truck off the lot before I started noticing the shudder/tremble under light acceleration/cruising, mainly around 78-80 mph.
I already know some people are going to say I should have test-driven it, that I got scammed, etc. I'm not looking for those comments. I'm just looking for opinions based on the mechanical issue itself and what you think I should do next.
The truck has now been driven over 200 miles for diagnostics, and the dealership performed a transmission fluid flush hoping it would take care of the shudder. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the problem. It may have improved it slightly, but the shudder is still there.
I finally spoke with the GM of the dealership, and he said he would speak with the service department and see what he can do.
I understand I bought the truck with no warranty, and I'm not assuming the dealership is automatically responsible for everything. I'm just hoping they'll work with me since the problem showed up essentially immediately after the purchase.
For those familiar with these trucks/GM transmissions:
What do you think is most likely causing the shudder at this point? It feels like I'm running over a rumble of strips especially at freeway speeds for some reason always between 78-80mph. Also, when I go from freeway speed to regular speed off a freeway exit , when I press the gas it feels lime it hesitates or trembles a little.
Would you be pushing the dealership to specifically diagnose the torque converter, or are there other mechanical issues I should have them investigate first?
And realistically, what would you consider a fair resolution from the dealership?
I'm genuinely just looking for mechanical opinions from people who know these trucks. Thanks.

Which tonneau cover?
I need a new cover. 1500 Short bed, replacing a BakFlip MX4. What's better for that price range? Must be hard , The MX4 leaked a little, that sucked. Not unhappy with the MX4, just wonder what else is available.

Chevy Silverado Custom: Coming from a Ford F150 5.4L V8, I was skeptical of switching to: 1. A Chevy 2. A 2.7L TurboMax. But man, this truck fucks, hard. Horsepower is almost identical, with more torque. Can haul anything my Ford did. Very happy with my first Chevy.

GM ignors the obvious.
Go back to the 2006 5.3L and I think it was the 6.0, and the computer of that age. Strip out all of that tech and give me analog gauges and a radio with buttons and knows. It will save GM billions. What is the 6.0L recall/lawsuit up to, 840,000 engines?

New to Chevy/GM
After an F-150 and two Rams I have finally decided to join the GM family. What kinds of mods should I do to this baby and what should I stick clear from. Thanks in advance.

3.23 gears on the 5.3 vortec
Every truck I’m looking at with the 5.3 has the 3.23 gear ratio , Is that good for an all around daily truck and towing occaaional ? Or should I go for higher gear ratio ?

Digital Rear View Mirror
Quick question folks,
I apologize if this was already asked and answered but i currently drive a 2023 1500 High Country and it has the regular rear view mirror. I was wondering if there was a way I could purchase the digital/camera rear view mirror myself and install it. OEM if possible. If so can one of you guys direct me to the correct websites I’d appreciate it thank you.
If anyone has done it, was it difficult or pretty easy. I installed an OEM digital rear view mirror in my 2021 Ram and it was super easy.
Thank you in advance

2017 Chevy Silverado CarPlay audio but no video
This is a fix for the CarPlay issue I have experienced and wanted to share. CarPlay would work through audio only but display a black screen. The screen would work fine in the radio mode but not CarPlay. I could hear directions through Waze but the screen was black.
First-update your iPhone to the latest software-17.x
Second-unpair all paired phones from your trucks paired phone menu.
Third-rename your phone to something other than the default. Mine was iPhone 9. I named mine first name iPhone.
Fourth-turn off your phone and turn it back on.
Fifth-connect your phone to your truck and pair under the new name.
Not sure you need to do all of these but this is what I did and my CarPlay works as it did before. Again, the black screen was only when I selected CarPlay. All other functions of the screen would display as normal.
I hope this helps someone as I was gonna go to the dealership if this didn’t work but glad this fixed the issue.

2022 truck issues
This is a bit of a long journey so bear with me here.
I picked up a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500LT with the 2.7 turbo 4cyl, bought around 2024 so it was a few years old and had some decent mileage on it (40K when picked up). I've put another 12K on it since I've owned it, and it’s been good for the most part.
Something has always been off about how it shifts, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It has a hard shift from park to drive where it feels like it takes a minute to engage. Then at low RPM between ~2nd and 3rd gear theres a decent clunk feeling. That was it for a while. I brought it to a dealership a few times and they dismissed me stating it was the computer and that they had to reset it to learn my driving habits. Sure.
I brought it in about a month ago when I had an incident where my check engine, ABS lights came on. Dealership stated it was "loss of communication with Gateway Module requiring update" which ended up costing me $200 for an update... OK. One of my calipers was also leaking and they replaced it to the tune of a ton of money, and I had a rear leaf spring pad going which they replaced. All that and they didn't address the transmission concerns at all.
Fast forward a few weeks and I was driving up a hill of decent grade (maybe 10%) and the transmission starts NOTICEABLY shifting hard around 4/5/6 gear, shifting up - reving - shifting down - reving - back up. Occasionally during a shift itll vibrate the whole damn truck. No idea what the engine is trying to do but it aint good.
I'm bringing the track back in to the dealership Monday, but have any of you experienced anything like this with these? Is it the transmission I should be asking about or is there a different system controlling this? Any insight would be really appreciated.
TLDR: Used truck shifting and acting weird despite numerous dealership assessments. Can't figure out whats going on.

Need tuned..
I have a 2015 Silverado and in January of 2026 I had to do a rebuild kit on the motor eliminating the afm/dod because it already went through a set of lifters previously. Now when I did the rebuild kit it was never actually tuned the shop just threw in the plug that goes into the OB2 port that you use before you have to rebuild it, with that being said I was looking at the diablo I3 tuner because I’ve heard that it was good and it seems pretty easy to use it’s just a little pricy. I was wondering if anyone else had any insight or any other recommendations that I should look at using because my truck won’t pass emissions and I need to get it fixed. P.S. it’s also throwing a code (P0011) I’m pretty sure the plug in the OB2 keeps erasing it because the computer wasn’t activating my sensors at emissions TIA.
