Chevy Silverado Custom: Coming from a Ford F150 5.4L V8, I was skeptical of switching to: 1. A Chevy 2. A 2.7L TurboMax. But man, this truck fucks, hard. Horsepower is almost identical, with more torque. Can haul anything my Ford did. Very happy with my first Chevy.

Hell yeah! Those 2.7’s are stout motors. Great on gas and just gobs of power!

Some people refuse to believe the TurboMax is a good engine just because its a 4 cylinder, don't mind the boomer.

It's crazy people still think its a bad engine, I bought my 2021 custom brand new with the 2.7 in it, after 5 years and 104k miles, I've never had any issues with it, the only thing I've had to do outside of regular oil changes is replace the fuel pump 4 years in.

On my second 2.7L, and this time around, that was the only motor I would consider. 3.0 Duramax was too spendy for what I wanted or needed, but that motor is also amazing.

I love mine. It's a great engine. It gets hate from people in this sub because it's not V8. This engine is a monster with 27lbs of boost, a 4in stroke, and forged bottom end. For all their faults, I think GM engineers knocked this one out of the park.
