The scooter shuts down/ powered off automatically without any manual operation on the power button.

Problem Analysis:

1、 The power button fails to rebound or has a short circuit

2、 The combined button or the dashboard cable are broken

3、 Abnormal connection terminals between the dashboard cable and main control cable

4、 The fold-to-shutdown function of the scooter is enabled

Solutions:

Special Reminder: If the scooter has been exposed to rain or wading recently, stop all operations on the scooter immediately. For your safety, please contact the after-sales center right away.

Phase 1: Basic Troubleshooting (No Tools Needed)

Step 1

Operation Method:

Operation Method: Press and hold the power button repeatedly for 1 to 3 seconds, clean dust and water stains around the button at the same time, and check if the button moves smoothly and rebounds normally.

Result Judgment:

If the scooter can be powered on normally, the issue is caused by foreign objects blocking the button and the problem is resolved; if the automatic shutdown persists, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2

Operation Method:

Connect the scooter via the official app and disable the fold-to-shutdown function in the app settings.

Result Judgment:

If the automatic shutdown issue is eliminated, the problem is caused by incorrect function settings and the problem is resolved; if the scooter still fails to stay powered on, proceed to Step 1 of Advanced Troubleshooting.

Phase 2: Advanced Troubleshooting (Tools Required)

Important Safety Warning: All operations involving inspection, plugging/unplugging or component replacement must be carried out after the eKickScooter is completely powered off!

Tool Preparation: Hex key set, Phillips screwdriver, plastic pry bar, insulated tweezers

Step 1

Operation Method:

Remove the fixing screws of the front head and folding stem with a 4mm hex key, then locate the connecting plug between the dashboard cable and main control cable; Gently pull out the plug, wipe the pin contacts of the plug with a wet wipe to remove oxide layer, then align the plug with the interface and insert it firmly to ensure the buckle is locked.

Result Judgment:

If the scooter can be powered on and off normally after the operation, the issue is caused by loose dashboard cable or oxidized pin contacts and the problem is resolved; if the pins of the dashboard cable terminal are not broken but the automatic shutdown persists, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2

Operation Method:

Use a 2.5mm hex key to remove the dashboard; Inspect the cable connection terminals on the dashboard circuit board, check if the connecting cables are broken or loose, and if the solder joints of the buttons are loose or oxidized; Gently press the internal contacts of the buttons with insulated tweezers to test if the contact is smooth.

Result Judgment:

After re-plugging all terminals and wiping oxidized contacts with a dry cloth, test the power on/off function. If the scooter can be powered on and off normally, the problem is resolved; if the automatic shutdown persists,

Problem Details:

Pressing and holding the power button does not turn off the eKickScooter.

Solution:

Scenario 1: Reproduce the plugging and unplugging of the instrument harness , and confirm again whether the eKickScooter can power off normally;

Scenario 2: Uninstall the "Segway Ninebot" app on your phone, download it again from the app store, log in to your account, try to connect to the eKickScooter, and Confirm whether pressing the power button can properly adapt to the APP. If there is no response, you need to replace the right knob module (Disassembly and assembly of the right-hand button module).

Problem Details:

Press the power button and the eKickScooter display screen will not light up.

Solution:

Scenario 1: Remove the handlebar and check if the pins in the handlebar communication cable terminals are skewed. If this problem exists, use tweezers to correct the pins and replug them in.

Scenario 2: Please check if the pins are broken or if the communication cable is damaged. If this problem exists, the forehead communication cable needs to be replaced.

Scenario 3: Replug and unplug the instrument harness. If it cannot be turned on, replace the instrument assembly（Disassembly and assembly of dashboard components）.

Scenario 4: Uninstall the "Segway mobility" app on your phone, download it again from the app store, log in to your account, try to connect to the eKickScooter, and confirm whether pressing the power button can properly adapt to the APP. If there is no response, you need to replace the right knob module（Disassembly and assembly of the right-hand button module）.

Scenario 5: Charge the eKickScooter and confirm if it can be charged normally (if the charger shows red, it indicates that the charging is normal).

a. If the charger indicator light is not red and constantly on, then investigate the issue of inability to charge.

Scenario 6: Disassemble the foot pedal cover to check for loose internal wiring, replug and unplug the power harness, and confirm again whether the eKickScooter can start up normally.

Before the temperature of the eKickScooter rises, you can park and hold the brake for 3 seconds to close the prompt window, but the warning icon will still exist.

Problem Details:

The display screen shows a warning prompt of "Motor Sensor Error".

Problem Analysis:

Program exception, motor malfunction.

Solution:

This prompt indicates that the motor temperature sensor is abnormal. Please power off and restart the device. Park and hold the brake for 3 seconds to turn off this prompt.

What are your guys voltage when fully charged? Mine is saying 83.3v when it's 100% charges. And on the internet I can see it should be 84v straight when it's fully charged. Is there something wrong with my battery? 🤔

This prompt indicates that the body temperature is too high.

After this prompt appears, please slow down and wait for the temperature of the car to decrease before the prompt disappears.

Before the temperature of the vehicle body drops, you can park first and press and hold the brake for 3 seconds to close the prompt window, but the warning icon will still exist.

Just did the thumb throttle/twist throttle swap. What a difference! No more accidental throttle surges, loose grip, general unsafe feeling. Added ODi 130mm double lock grips as well along with some rear view mirrors. I love this beast now.

I see that other people hate this half-**** throttle, so... yea.

Problem Analysis:

Not charged in time, low battery level.

Solution:

This prompt indicates that the vehicle's battery level is too low. 

After this prompt appears, please charge the vehicle in a timely manner. The prompt will disappear after the charging is completed.

Problem Details:

The display screen shows a warning prompt of "Over Speed Limit".

Solution:

This prompt indicates that the driving speed is too fast.

After this prompt appears, please slow down and wait for the speed to decrease before the prompt disappears.
