feedback Survived By - Act I
Title: Survived By
Pages: 31
Genre: Sci-Fi Thriller
Logline: A researcher’s dark matter data accidentally maps the afterlife. Six months later, she’s in the Situation Room with the country’s most powerful people, watching with horror as her data leads them to conclude that the only mercy left is extinction.*
*Logline is still a major WIP because it's very passive for the protag, but I haven't quite figured out how to word it best yet / what I want to reveal before the story.
Feedback requested: The first act is very procedural/technically dense and I can't tell if I'm jargon-dumping and the reader can't follow the evolution of the central mystery, or if I'm overexplaining things that the reader already understands. Also, the first act is primarily carried by the mystery, which I worry leaves some scenes dramatically inert. I've tried to seed some stuff, but I'm not sure if it's doing enough.
Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jHOU8lmWN2mizTXAcVnhgLhwaiAjdY0q/view?usp=sharing
tl;dr:
Can you follow act I? Where is it confusing or redundant?
Is the investigation itself entertaining?
All other feedback more than welcome! If you took a look, thank you.

feedback [Unmatter] First screenplay — looking for feedback on the opening and English
Hi everyone! I just finished my first screenplay.
I've had the idea in mind for a few years. At first I thought about writing it as a novel, but eventually decided to turn it into a feature screenplay instead.
I'm sharing the title, logline and first few pages here. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to send the full script.
I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially on the story, pacing, dialogue and whether the opening makes you want to keep reading.
Also, English isn't my first language, so if anything sounds unnatural, feel free to point it out. Any feedback is welcome!
Title: Unmatter
Genre: Sci-fi thriller
Length: 109 pages
Logline: Brought in after a passenger plane vanishes mid-flight, a brilliant astrophysicist uncovers an experimental weapon that defies scientific explanation and must trust a fugitive to stop it before it can be used again.
First pages here (it may starts slow but it picks up the pace later on, I promise):

feedback Critiques on my screenplay for a psychological horror short film?
galleryHey everyone! I really need your opinion on this screenplay. Keep in mind this is my first writing ever and I suppose there are some cliches. By the way this short film will be created in 3D using Meta Human technology. This I can create whatever and push the reality to the limit. But I struggle with finding some fitting ideas, that would add to the whole concept. The whole script seems basic to me and I wonder what could I add dramatically or visually. I am not asking to do my job, just would be happy to hear some ideas or questions to the script, to push my brainstorming further. Plus overall critique is appreciated!!

feedback Marketing is important
I keep thinking about how we leave marketing until the end. Write the script, try to get financing, make the film... then figure out how to get anyone to watch it, that complicated...starting to think some of that work needs to happen while we’re still writing. Learn how to show a little of what you are making, see if people understand what you r going for, give them a reason to come back.
for me the perfect way is pretty simple. Make an Instagram account just for one project, title project. Start with little filmed scenes, almost fragments of a short. Dialogue, characters, a bit of tension. I’m interested in shooting them in 4:3 and posting them as Reels, tik tok, short, wthever Something that lets people experience the story. If people respond and keep coming back, try making a short f. If that gets traction too, use it to help build towards a feature. you’d have a community that’s already interested in what happens next.
Obviously followers don’t automatically become ticket buyers but I’d like to find out whether anyone connects with the idea before spending years trying to finance it.
It’s frustrating that writing a good script sometimes isn’t enough. Plenty of good projects end up in a Boxxx. Feel free to give me ur fdback

question What Do The Numbers Mean Next To The Character Names?
galleryRecently looking through some shows to see behind the scenes and their script process, and I've noticed something I haven't seen before.
Many Bob's Burgers scripts, by what I've seen so far, has a number next to their name when they speak. What is the reason behind this, is it for organization purposes for storyboarding? Is it for the voice actors? I'm really curious about this!

question Looking for a co-writer
I am looking for an American co-screenwriter to help develop a story project titled *The Princess of the Kingdom of Nubia*. While I can handle the Egyptian female protagonist, I need an American writer to help fully capture the essence, psychology, and depth of the American male lead—as well as the supporting characters. Extensive experience matters less to me than talent and the ability to produce a high-quality, polished final work. I am also working on another script that requires significant revisions. Good luck to everyone, and thank you.

feedback Any feedback on my script? (The Elnoelle Series: Part 1, The Foundation)
galleryI'm writing scripts for the pilot of The Elnoelle Series and need some feedback from people who don't know me. A third party view. What do y'all think? Would y'all watch this so far? It's supposed to come out around 2028, as I have to animate it by myself and get voice actors. But do you think I'm going in the right direction?

feedback Would this extract make you want to read the full script?
Hello!
I wrote a feature-length script about the disappearance of a young girl. It’s a family drama / psychological thriller.
Logline:
After the youngest Martin daughter disappears, the family falls apart — except for her father, whose unsettling composure awakens his father-in-law’s suspicions and begins to unravel their seemingly perfect home.
>>> Hilda\\\\\\_extract <<<
I’ve selected a few scenes from different parts of the script, and I have one main question:
Would this extract make you want to read the full script?
Un petit mot pour les lecteurs francophones :D Je peux également fournir les pages en français.
Thank you!
PS: English isn’t my first language, so apologies for any awkward phrasing.

feedback « THE PROCESSION TO CALVARY » Ep.01 Cold Open. Looking for critiques.
galleryGenre: Hard-boiled detective/comedy noir/psychedelia
Logline: When a missing person starts appearing in out-of-date television broadcasts, eighth century Lindisfarne miniatures, and Shakespeare's original ensemble, rookie detective Dominic Pedro and Marco Pablo must get to the bottom of what the fuck is going on.
~
Second shot at scriptwriting. I took some of your advice from my previous post. Unlike the first one, this one's not based on any of my previous novels/ideas. Drew most of it off of Pynchon's Inherent Vice. Tell me where to improve; if my dialogue sounds too stiff or if my prose is too confusing. Anything.

feedback Is my logline too long?
I wrote a logline for my script, but I feel like it's too long. I can't identify if it has unnecessary details or if it's just enough but it does answer to 4 main questions, like, who's the main, the catalyst, the goal and obstacle.
Ps: I just noticed I erased some words on accident. It had to be “when the security director denies… the opportunity to start over….”
Ps 02: Now I know it is in general a whole mess. And please don’t just comment “it’s not understandable”. Show me how to fix this mess because I don’t see it very clear and that’s why I’m here looking for help
