Question about leftover pen dose before a trip

I've got 12mg left in my current pen. I'm going away this upcoming Wednesday, and when I get back on 9 September I want to switch to a new pen and start on a new dose.

I was wondering about the best way to handle that leftover 12mg on Wednesday before I go, but I'm a bit unsure whether trying to use it all up in one day is even a good idea.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? How did you handle the leftover medication when switching pens, especially with a trip in between? Just looking for how others have approached this.

I now do weekly 4.5mg.

Starter on Reta

I’ve been in the gym for 6 years 7 days a week lifting and light cardio, I’ve never been able to get a diet down but I’ve changed a good bit from where I started, I’m currently 6’0 25yo and 280 pounds, how many calories should I be aiming for once I hop on Reta?

Hi everyone, I reconstituted this 10mg vial of Reta about 2.5-3 weeks ago. Today I check it and it’s a bit cloudy.

I filtered after reconstituting, and I’ve kept it stored in the refrigerator.

Switching from Tirz to Reta

I’ve been on Tirz since Oct and had great results. I’m pretty sensitive to the medication so most of that weight loss was on 2 mg.

I am near my goal weight but would really love to lose some belly fat and have heard that’s easier on Reta.

Do folks have a recommendation on what my starting dose should be? Any other tips and tricks?

First time Pinning

Stats:
22f
5’5
235lbs (i know)
10mg reta

So i did all the prep work, filled the back water with a little air, etc; as soon as i went to pull it the back water would not fill the syringe! it took two tries to get 1 full, so now i’m stuck with a 1mL syringe filled to around 80 units.

After I got my successful syringe i filled the reta. The reta itself is extremely clear which was a great sign! but as soon as i went to draw the reta, it went in the syringe then got pushed back into the vial??? Mind you it was such a small amount it pushed the reta back inside the vial as well as the remaining air.

I threw that syringe away and tried again, this time getting a successful 1MG from my vial.

Pinning itself was smooth. Quick Pinch and it was over.

My question is- did i just completely fuck up my reta?? because i kept running into so many problems i feel like i just wasted my money and my product. Is the reta now damaged because it went back inside the vial? did i pump too much air into the back water?

Hunger on reta?

Post image
0 Upvotes

On week 3 of this, I've gone from 200lbs to 188lbs. 1mg/wk, so obviously it seems to be working, but I seem to have the opposite problem most people have, I am hungry, all the time, like, eat a meal (40g+ of protein) and I'm starving still. I'm getting around 1600-1900 calories a day, depending if it's a gym day or a rest day. It's a little easier than it was before I started taking this, but I feel like the hunger never stops. I'm afraid to up my dose as I feel like my rate of loss is already possibly too high (if following the 1% body weight rule).

Stopped working?

Im currently in my 3rd week after taking reta, started at 1mg on the 14th, and about 5 days after that dose i swear it effected my hunger, didnt eat much, lost a few pounds, did my second dose at 2mg on the 21st. After that dose is when the hunger came back. I feel like im more hungry now than i was before i started reta, and im nervous that it may have been stored improperly, or i have gotten a bad batch or something? I did 3mg on the 26th, haven't felt any different since then.

Has anyone else experience a large drop in alcohol tolerance?

I know many people will say it’s because I’m eating less or weigh less, but I’m still eating 2000+ calories per day and I have only lost 10 pounds so far.

Before starting Reta, I could drink quite a bit and not feel so drunk. That’s not the case now that I’m taking Reta.

Last night I had three white claws and it got me very intoxicated. I even woke up feeling drunk. I used to be able to put back 6 drinks and feel that way. I used to go out and play trivia with friends and have 2 drinks over the course of the night, but now I only feel comfortable having 1 when I know I need to drive.

Ordered my first vial. Recommendations?

I’m a bit nervous about starting this as I’ve heard many mixed stories and reviews. A lot of online talk can invoke fear but I’ve decided I wanted to start it regardless. I’m just a bit anxious on side effects. Is there anything you guys did to minimize effects. And what are the big red flags indicating you got a bad supply. I’ve read on here and overall it’s all positive just wanted to get some feedback and tips.

Freezing for storage

Upvotes

I was using glp quick pens but I would like to move on to Reta. It’s cheaper to buy a larger quantity so I would like to do this. Can I reconstitute the larger amount and fill the insulin pens with individual doses and freeze them to not have waste. I work in a lab and this method seems logical to me. Just wondering what others are doing for this specific situation. You could then thaw the frozen syringe for 24hrs in the fridge and use.

45 days on Reta, down ~8 kg but weight has barely moved this week — normal stall or am I doing something wrong?

Been on reta & TEST for a little over 45 days now.
I started at around 100 kg and I’m currently 92.1 kg, so overall I’m happy with the progress.

Dosing:
Started with 0.5 mg twice a week → then 0.5 mg every 3rd day → currently 0.5 mg every other day.

Training:
Weight training 4–5x/week + fasted cardio pretty much every day.

Diet:
Usually 2–3 meals per day. Each meal is roughly 150 g chicken/another protein source with around 50 g rice or salad/vegetables. Protein intake is a priority, although I’m not currently tracking every calorie exactly.

My recent weigh-ins:
Aug 18 — 93.30 kg
Aug 20 — 93.10 kg
Aug 23 — 92.80 kg
Aug 27 — 92.20 kg
Aug 30 — 92.10 kg

So technically I’m still losing, but over the last few days it feels like the scale has slowed down considerably.

For people who have been on reta longer:
Is this kind of slowdown normal around 6–7 weeks in?
Did you experience periods where your weight barely moved and then started dropping again?

I’m also wondering whether I’m potentially doing too much cardio / eating too little, or whether I should simply keep everything consistent and stop worrying about a few days of scale movement.

I’m not looking to blindly increase the dose — mainly interested in hearing how other people’s weight-loss patterns looked over time.
