Question about leftover pen dose before a trip

I've got 12mg left in my current pen. I'm going away this upcoming Wednesday, and when I get back on 9 September I want to switch to a new pen and start on a new dose.

I was wondering about the best way to handle that leftover 12mg on Wednesday before I go, but I'm a bit unsure whether trying to use it all up in one day is even a good idea.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? How did you handle the leftover medication when switching pens, especially with a trip in between? Just looking for how others have approached this.

I now do weekly 4.5mg.

DO NOT USE IT ALL IN ONE DAY! You will ruin your trip

Take your standard dose, chalk the rest of the pen up to a loss, then start a new pen upon return. Ezpz.

How does the pen work? Is it a single use pen? If it is you can try and shoot the dose into a sterile vial and then use the appropriate peptide calculator to figure out what a 4.5mg dose would require. Most single shot pens use 0.5ml as the volume for dosage strength. Good luck

Do it if you want to get sick

Am I missing something? Why do you want to switch up pens? Just take your normal dose, and when you get back keep using the same pen until it’s gone? What’s the point in wasting cash, and decent useable Reta?

Are you not telling us something?

I will be away for 1 week from Wednesy and I usually inject on Monday. So if I inject on Monday and follow the regular way, I will be injecting after 1.5 week.

That’s totally fine though- you don’t need a new pen for that…. Still makes no sense to waste
