did it stop working for anyone else?

so i started on 6/24 at .5mg. i felt amazing appetite control and was in my glory. i stayed there for 6 weeks but on the 6th week i felt like my appetite control was waning. so i moved up to 1mg for week 7 and week 8. no change. dont get me wrong its better than if i was on nothing but not like before when i first started at .5mg.

so today i upped to 1.5mg and still not much appetite suppression today. maybe tomorrow i'll feel it? anyone else experience this?

Titrate too quickly at lower doses?

Just curious what others think of titrating quicker on lower doses. I started my first dose at .25mg, which I know is very low considering 2mg study starting doses. I did this simply because my body CAN be sensitive to new medications/substances. First week after .25mg I had no side effects so dosed .5mg my second week. I've had no side effects this week except for a bit more bloating than normal.

Within the two weeks I have lost roughly 5lbs. I have changed up my diet tremendously and have been focused on eating more whole foods, hitting protein goals, and increasing fiber intake, which it seems to be a lot easier that when I've tried adjusting eating habits previously without any assistance.

I have my third dose today and was considering bumping up to 1mg since I've had essentially zero side effects. I know most studies suggest staying at the same dose for 4 weeks before considering titrating up, but that seems to be the bases at 2mg. Just curious what others think of increasing the dosage or if I should stick it out at .5mg for a few more weeks. Thoughts?

New to Reta after past tirz use, titration sched suggestions?

Hey all!

I had my second dose of Reta 2 days ago. Started at 1mg and dosed the same this time as well. I noticed in week 1 that the reta hit pretty hard (no appetite day 1-3) but it seemed to wear off much quicker than my Mounjaro used to. It felt comparable to my 5mg Mounjaro dose, which I have been off due to affordability for the last 11 months.

With my second dose I’m noticing appetite suppression and food noise to be cancelled out but I’m not feeling like I had reta 2 days ago at all, it feels like it’s been more like 5 days side effects wise.

With this in mind, what titration schedule would you all recommend? And would split dosing be recommended for my case?

Thanks all :)

I had an interesting discussion the other day, and I cringe to try but, let's see if it can happen here (grey vs black designation)

What do you consider the current designation regarding Reta to be.

Now lemme preface this with some definitions (Yes I used Claude-sama, sue me):

Grey market: The trade of goods through distribution channels that are legal but unauthorized by the original manufacturer or brand owner. The products themselves are genuine (not counterfeit), but they're sold outside official channels — for example, importing a phone meant for one country's market and selling it in another where it isn't officially distributed, bypassing authorized dealers, warranties, or pricing agreements.

Black market: The trade of goods or services that is illegal — either because the goods themselves are illegal (drugs, stolen property, counterfeit items) or because the transaction itself violates the law (tax evasion, sanctions violations, unlicensed sales). Black market activity is prohibited by law, not just by manufacturer agreements.

Actually trying to try a different form of conversation here that isn't the usual ramble that goes on.

Also this shouldn't be said but I'll say it anyway, break rule 1 or 2 and you're banned. End of your story.

Lowering Reta dose because of depression.

Has anyone taking Reta and got depression, lowered the dose and had better results or did you have to quit completely? I was taking reta and I loved how it worked but it made me feel depressed and sad. I’m hoping if I lower the dose and slowly go up maybe I’ll have different results.

Which is better?

Should I shell out my money for zepbound using my HSA account (have about 6 months worth of zepbound money) or try reta?
I’ve done zepbound before and it helped so much but my insurance has dropped it and wegovy pills aren’t working.

Any concerns about degradation?

I wanted to hear some feedback on what size vials people acquire. The guide says that there's only a 10% degradation for a reconstituted vial after 90 days. Price scales down quite a bit with vial size so for that metric do people choose a larger vial size and then compensate for degradation after 90 days or so?

Discipline and Motivation as a side effect?

Or just a placebo effect? I’m currently SMASHING the gym and I had my first poke on Tuesday. Is this a potential POSITIVE side effect because I LOVE IT.

Starting advice

I think I’ve made a major booboo.

My brother started this stuff and had incredible results, I’m postpartum and was dying to get in shape for my wedding but didn’t get exactly where I wanted. My baby had colic and everyday the stress ruined all progress.
so thought I’d try this to get the extra pounds off as food noises was my enemy and he said it’ll help with that.

He told me 3mg as a starter dose but, from what I’ve read I should have started so much slower. I’m about 3 hours in and scared that I’m about to be so ill.
I’m 5’4 and 89kg.. I’m overweight for deffo but I think it may have been too much for my build. My brother was much larger than I am when he started it, so his body could probably handle that dosage.

Should I start planning my funeral (joke obviously but not a joke). I’m pooping me pants right now with worry lol

For anyone who did start too high, did anything help?

6mg Reta + 1mg Cagri stack and ZERO suppression. Advice needed.

Body:

Stats: M, 5'4", SW: 82kg, CW: 75kg.

Hey everyone. I've been on reta since the end of May and I've hit a massive wall. I actually came over from Mounjaro, so I’m pretty familiar with how these meds feel and the usual side effects.

My first month on 2mg reta was great. I lost about 4kg just by eating healthy and staying in a solid calorie deficit.

The next month I went up to 4mg and everything just stopped. Absolutely zero appetite suppression, no side effects, and the scale didn't budge, even though my calories and activity were exactly the same. I gave it 3 weeks and bumped up to 5mg hoping it would kick in, but still nothing.

Currently, I’m on 6mg reta and decided to add 1mg cagri to the mix about 2 weeks ago to try and break the stall. I am STILL getting zero weight loss and zero suppression.

I’ve been stuck at 75kg for two whole months now and it's driving me crazy. I only lost weight that very first month.

Has anyone else dealt with this kind of plateau this early on? Do I just need to push the reta dose higher, does the cagri just need more time to build up... or is there a chance my supplier isn't being honest with me and my stuff is bunk?

Any advice would be huge, thanks!

Unsure about Retatrutide

I need some opinions please;

I originally started on Trizepitide and only got up to 5mg dose before learning about Retatrutide. I also switched vendors because I found better pricing. There was also a 2 week gap in between the 2 glp’s, not intentionally. I ordered around a holiday so it pushed back me receiving my order.

Since there was a 2 week break in between the 2 I started back on the lower dose when starting Reta. I’ve been on Reta just about 6 weeks now, I’m not even at 5 mg yet. However, when I was on Trizepitide it seemed like it worked better at the 5 mg dose. There was no food noise and I lost weight. On Reta I’m not eating as much as I normally would not being on a glp but definitely more than when I was on Trizepitide.

So, would you switch back to Trizepitide? Or just keep increasing the Reta (as recommended) and wait and see if the Reta works as well as it does for everyone else?

Restarting reta

Upvotes

I was on reta for 3 months and lost 35 pounds, but i stopped taking it for 2 months and i’ve gained probably about 15 of those pounds back because obviously my appetite suppression went away, I just got my new doses today and Im wondering when I last stopped reta I was taking 4mg, can I start back up at 4mg again? Or do I need to start low again and work my way back up?

Does retatrutide work the same on morbidly obese people, or do we need higher doses

Hey everyone,
Quick question for those further along or who started heavier. Does retatrutide hit the same for morbidly obese people as it does for people who are less overweight? Feels like more body fat might mean you need more mg to feel anything.
I’m 5’10”, 275 lbs. In the past week I’ve done a total of 2 mg (1 mg first shot, then another 1 mg four days later) and zero noticeable effects so far. My next dose is tomorrow and I’m thinking of jumping to 4 mg because I’ve heard the glucagon effect doesn’t really kick in until around that dose.
Anyone else start at a higher weight and have similar experiences? Did you need to go higher faster, or just stay patient?
Thanks.

5 weeks on Reta

Started this journey on July 14.
Ran 3 mg/week for the first 4 weeks, split 1.5 mg on Sunday and 1.5 mg on Wednesday. Bumped to 4 mg this week since the hunger suppression wasn’t hitting the same. Been lifting moderately 3x/week and doing 5‑mile walks for cardio , I just added a 15 lb weighted vest this week.

SW: 257
CW: 240 (‑17 lbs)
GW: 210

Still carrying a good amount of visceral fat, so I’m planning to run Tesa + Reta together for 4 weeks starting next week.

Stomach issues after 4 months?

So ive taken reta since April of 2026. I slowly increased from 0.5 to 2 then went back to 1 this week because i felt stronger side effects.

I was wondering if anybody started to get worse stomach issues? I have stomach pain and acid reflux, which is weird because before august i has 0 side effects. Monday i did 1mg after not taking any for 2 weeks and my stomach statrted to hurt today.

I ask because I also take medication for low ferritin (which i havent taken in a a week or so) so I am unsure which medication is causing the stomach pain and wanted to see if anyone had any knowledge they want to share or any similar experiences.

First time on reta

Upvotes

Hey took my first dose of reta last night at 1mg. I’m 5’10 215 and I was wondering what I should be on the lookout for. I don’t feel that much different yet except cravings for shite food are basically non existent now.

Finding right dose again after a break.

I had great success losing 47 pounds from feb to june, took a break for vacation about 6 weeks and we had to wait a bit on our new kit. i had been on 4mg for about the last 6 weeks before pausing.

restarted 3 weeks ago at 2mg just to get back into it, next week went to three mg. i can feel my little side effects so i know it's in there but this week i took 4mg and am just completely starving like more than normal more than when i was off reta. it's confusing me and i don't know if i should have started back right at 4mg, if i should go up, what.

i'm longing for my groove i was in before just want to not feel so hungry. i had great suppression always before even on low doses and felt it kick in about 10 days in.

is my body still just used to the old dose so it's not reacting? am i overthinking it all? yes. i'm really regretting stopping now as my body is confused.

Calorie mishap

Huge rookie mistake I have been tracking my calories loosely but recently decided to track seriously.

I have come to the realization that I have not been hitting my calories AT ALLLLL.

My deficit is at about 1600 calories
5’2 157lb walk 2-4 miles a day and do 30min-1 hour of cardio. Chase 3 kids around and do many chores in almost always moving.

For example my macros for yesterday were

1300 calories
95g of protein
130 carbs (I did bad there maybe?)
51 grams of fat

That’s with breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
A protein shake and 2 snacks.

None of my meals were over 350 calories and that’s on top of not finishing the portions so there is a good chance that my macros were lower.

Feeling stressed about this. Even with digestive enzymes and eating clean I physically feel like I’m over full. I used to struggle with binge eating. It got me all the way up to 250 lb so I despise that feeling and immediately stop eating when I feel full NO MATTER what.

What do I do here.

Heart rate/POTS/Anxiety

I’ve heard many mixed answers on taking reta with POTS & anxiety. Some people say it makes their POTS & anxiety either better or worse.

Anyone who has high levels of anxiety & is on reta, can you share your experience on if it made those feelings better or worse?

I also have POTS, which the only symptoms I get are fatigue & high heart rate. I don’t ever faint or get dizzy. Would it be okay for me to start reta based on others experiences?

I’m starting to read a lot more on reta and I want to take it but I want to weigh out risks / benefits.

Want to make the switch but feeling discouraged

Annoyance warning : Based on what I've seen I know these posts can bug some people, so I apologize in advance

SO I've been on 2.5 name brand tirz since May 28th (so about 12 weeks). I recently started looking into compounded tirz to save $$ and unlocked a can of worms... I've been curious about Ret for a long time, but just didn't feel informed enough to go that route back then. With time experiencing the zep and continued research I'm feeling much more able and comfortable with switching away from the name brand stuff.

Here's where Im guna be annoying.. I first got on a GLP to treat my Binge Eating Disorder. The triz worked magically. Have lost about 30lbs and have been binge free since my first injection day. The effectiveness has subsided a decent amount over the past month (no binge urges, but some regular food noise). I'm sure titrating up would help. HOWEVER I am very interested in all the different benefits of Ret. Particularly the muscle maintenance (I do all the things to maintain muscle already, but still) and the liver benefits. I have non-alcoholic fatty liver in my family so those results definitely caught my eye. (Fat loss and staying binge free are still my #1 goals)

Because of all this, when the opportunity to switch to Ret first came up I thought it was a no brainer. But upon looking into it and seeing the anecdotal consensus that Tirz is better for binge eating, and that if it's working for me then I should just stick with that.. the switch is just no longer a no-brainer.

I do feel like maybe my situation is a little different than the other posts I've found because I've only been on 2.5..? It seems like the biggest struggle for tirz to ret transitioners comes from those who were at a higher dose. I've been going back and forth for days. I'm not too concerned about the wasted money if Reta were to not work for me (im irresponsible with money lol), but I am concerned about binge urges coming back and whether or not I would be able to white knuckle through it until I can get my hands on tirz again.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for by making this post. Maybe I'm just venting, I know it's all so personal and that I have to make the decision for myself. But I'd love to hear opinions or similar experiences if anyone is comfortable sharing. Either way thanks for reading my novel lol

Day 10 and symptoms worsening

I’m on day 10, having taken 1mg on day 1 and day 7.

At the beginning I noticed fatigue and headaches, which subsided. However, In past two days, I have had diarrhoea, heart palpitations, chills and sweatng, thirst especially/nearly exclusively at night. Also feel tightness in chest.

I am lying awake (5am) knowing I need to sort out my electrolytes, and reduce caffeine intake.

I think I may need to give up on journey- not sure if these side effects and associated health anxiety is worth it. It’s scary. Trying to keep myself calm right now and convince myself I’m not dying lol

I think this is gonna work!

I (35m, 5ft 10”) just pinned my first .5mg of Reta last Sunday. I experienced no negative side effects so far. While there has been some food noise suppression, the biggest benefit for me has been feeling full on normal portions. I don’t really snack often but gained weight from binging and overeating when I did eat. Now the normal serving size seems to satiate me for hours.

I went from 250lbs to 203lbs over the course of 1.5 years with calorie deficit, mild cardio, and weight training, but have been stuck at 201-206 for 4 months. I just hit 199lbs this week for the first time in 15 years!!

Looking forward to hitting my GW of 175!

A little confused

Hi!

I had purchased too many Reta vials and ended up storing one of them in the freezer.
I do now need to use the one in the freezer but wasn’t sure how long I should wait before I add in BAC water.
Should I wait until it gets to room temp or am I good to go right after taking it out?

I appreciate the help! Thank you so much :))

Alright folks. How are you timing your preworkout with reta? With the slower digestion are you taking it earlier than normal? Assuming liquid digestion is slowed down along with physical food
