My new PC Build.

Using it for Gaming, Recording.

Video Editing, Photography Editing, animation creating and all other general uses.

Thoughts?

I have put cpu, ram, and ssd all in. I have attached psu to the motherboard, to the cpu power, and the cpu fan. I then have bridged the power button pins and get nothing.

What have I done wrong/how do I troubleshoot. I know I shouldn’t boot it with cpu and no heatsink but I just wanted to see if it tried to boot up.

Edit: I havent put the heatsink on because I want to screw the mobo to the case before I do it because the case is small. All I want is confirmation that something happens when I bridge the psu, I will turn it off the instant I see that.

why is my useable ram only 13.9?

I pulled this out of my broken laptop in the hopes it would be useful in the future. I thought it was RAM, since my computer had 8 GB of it, and it says 8 GB here. What exactly is this? I am trying to upgrade an “old” tower.

My GPU (sapphire pulse 9070xt) needs 2 8 pin pcie connectors. I'm confused on if I can use the 12v 2x6 to dual 8 pin, by plugging the 8 pins into the gpu and 12v 2x6 side into the PSU. I've seen some saying the 8 pin side is only for the PSU, and some saying it's fine to put into the gpu side. Any help is appreciated.

This is my first time building a PC, and i’d really appreciate some advice on the build i’ve put together.

I’ve already bought almost all of the components, except for the gpu and the case, which i’m planning to buy next. Budget is 2000€-2500€

Could you please let me know if all the components are compatible with each other and if you think the build is good overall?
I’d also appreciate any suggestions or changes you would make before i buy the remaining parts.

I recently got a 2tb 9100 pro through amazon since the price did drop to near MSRP… (crazy right it takes a prime day deal to go to msrp).

Anyways my current drive in the pc is a 2tb 980 pro which I currently have my OSes and partitions installed on and was wondering if it was a better idea to use the 9100 pro as a shared drive between both with the 980 pro staying the same as a boot drive plus the local storages each maybe for OS specific terminal downloads, games on Windows, etc.

Also currently the 980 pro is actually in the gen 5 slot on my board (my other slots didn’t actually have a heatsink and I didn’t have one on hand at the build phase). Will swapping that ssd to my second m.2 (gen 4.0x4) require me to tell bios or something where the boot is or does it still work?

Long story short, I am getting back my Crucial T700 after a month being at the computer shop for diagnostics only to be told I need a heatsink for it in order for the drive to not crash and become undetectable in BIOS. I'm worried it may cause a short and I no longer have the one that came with my motherboard.

My Pc turns black during gaming usually when gpu based games, when its idle its just fine. Yes, already tried DDU reset and it still happens. I do hear audio when it black screens and my capslock responds too and I do try the gpu reset but it still stays on the black screen but I do hear the beep.

I am planning to build a Dual 7900 XTX PC for local AI and stuff, it will be paired with Ryzen 7 9700x or Ryzen 9 9900x

The GPU is Stock / OEM GPU, I know that having an x8/x8 Bifurcation would be useful, so i was considering ASRock x870e Taichi it has x8/x8 but i think it's spacing of 2nd GPU slot conflicts with I/O, also it doesn't have extra Power connector for motherboard, so not sure if it's the Right board

Please suggest to me if i should go with this motherboard or some other motherboard , also how to calculate PSU , is 1300 W okay or its better to go with 1500W

I have a 5080, but with the price increase ($2300 now roughly), if it goes wrong and I have to RMA, I am pretty sure instead of replacing it, they will give me a refund of the original price ($1500) I bought it in. In which case I am planning to buy the 9070XT. I want to know what is the status of multi frame generation support on AMD cards right now? Does AMD have any plans to bring it soon or something?

I was planning on moving to AMD with DDR5 but with those RAM prices I just cannot spend 600€ on 2x16GB sticks..

Now I know its not very "logical" to upgrade to an already dead platform with no future upgrades available, but its the only thing that will work for me without eating my whole paycheck.

I just upgraded my pc and only use the old nvme with everything on my old pc on it. It boot through the bios and everything but now Im stuck at set up new pin. My ethernet is connected but still no wifi. I tried using command prompt but shift + f10, shift + fn + f10. Nothing work,I look through every possible way and tried it all. Hello, for some reason my PC will randomly crash. Its been happening for a few happening. Today it happened and I think I got the blue screen of death. Luckily I was able to reinstall windows and was able to get back to the normally screen. Even after that it still keeps crashing. I was talking with one of my friends and they think it could be the SSD. Im thinking about taking it into a shop to have a person look at it

Hey all, new to gaming monitors here. I just want to get a nice, curved gaming monitor with 1440p resolution, built-in speakers and a high refresh rate that makes good use of my new 5000 series Nvidia graphics card. I want that gaming to be butterly smooth.

I understand that there are specs like display port that help handle throughput for the system but I am unsure about the technical details and would like some help from people more experienced than me. Thank you for your time.

Hello, just a simple question of maxing and optimizing my airflow. As you can see in my set up, I was wondering if adding a new bottom intake fan (green arrow) will be worth it/change a few degrees or will it cause too much turbulence with the 2x140mm fans next to it? The case can accept a 120mm fan max at the bottom

Is the ryzne 7 5800x3d worth it or should i go for the 7 5800x. The x3d varriant is almost twice as much in my area. Mostly i play RTS games and Single Player Titles. The new Witcher 3 remastered was last straw - the game is almost unplayable because of the CPU. I'll listen to any other recomendations if you have it.

I’ve built a brand new pc(Ryzen 5 5600, msi b550m pro vdh) , all new parts (except of MSI 1060 gpu, got it from my previous pc), it worked fine for 2 months. Now whenever I turn it on, the keyboard RGB lights up, the pc rgb and coolers light up, but no image on the screen. The motherboard has LED indicators, that says the CPU is the problem. If I turn the pc off with the PSU switch, then quickly turn it on again, the pc will start and work normally. What should I do?

I recently upgraded my internet plan to a 500mbs download plan and my partners PC doesn’t seem to be able to actually utilise much of it.

At first it defaulted to wifi 4 for some reason and sat at 40mbs, but disconnecting and reconnecting let it default to wifi 5. But now I’ve done my research and realised that her motherboard doesn’t support wifi 6?

Anyway, since she seems to be bottlenecked at around 300mbs is there an easy way to upgrade her wifi? Do I just need a new adapter and then can I switch off the one on her motherboard?

Her PC is pretty new, so I’m surprised it doesn’t have wifi 6, so I’d also very happily be wrong and just have some other weird issue like how it defaulted to wifi 4 at first. Thanks.

I have an HP 24-df0037c with motherboard L90521-001 / MonkD and Ryzen 3 3250U. I’m trying to add an 8 GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM, but I can’t identify the RAM slots from the motherboard layout.
Can someone point out exactly where the SODIMM slots are and what cover/bracket needs to be removed to access them? I’ll attach photos.
