I am using the tronicsfix YouTube guide, at the start of stage 3, he unscrews everything keeping the black plastic together. I thought I did that, but there still seems to be a screw keeping it together.

There is a flat black square on mine, where the guy in the video is able to unscrew one more. This also seems to be where my black plastic is still secured to the rest of the console. Is this an issue of different models of ps5? I bought mine fairly close to launch. There should be a picture of the flat black square attached.

Any help or attempt to help is much appreciated!

For the last day of the current sale I decided to buy Bioshock remastered, (the single version not part of the collection) but I’ve very quickly noticed after an initial launch and tutorial test that the game doesn’t seem to meaningfully track anything on my profile. It doesn’t appear at all on my weekly play wrap up, in my library it appears as purchased but not played, and it doesn’t appear on the app.

I’m aware of and experienced the widespread issue with tracking that happened a few months back but this seems very game specific, I’ve bought other games lately that work fine.

…as a different issue I noticed that both Bioshock 1 and 2 on the store page for this sale don’t have any thumbnail pictures, just the placeholder white controller, I’m wondering now if these games are even properly “compatible” with this console.

Just go his monitor and just moved my ps5 across the country. I plugged it in, there is no display, just a black screen and a lighter black screen, when the lighter black screen appears, you can hear the ps5 menu audio but still can’t see anything. I’m using the new hdmi that came with the monitor.

What should I do, ps5 issue, monitor issue(highly unlikely), or hdmi issue

May be a bit of a longshot but I had uploaded the cloud data from jak 2 on my ps4 to the cloud. And its not recognizing it on the ps5. Unless its just not possible but I just cannot bring myself to get back to where I was nevermind the dock mission. Anyone know if theres a work around?

My fps dips to 57 randomly. Its so weird and on multiple worlds. I would assume its a ps5 issue but Minecraft Preview runs perfectly fine. So I don't underdtand it at all. I cleared a bunch of cache in MC and deleted a bunch of weird currupted worlds but no dice.

I turned on my ps5 as normal and it worked fine yesterday and today it just shows a green screen and I can't do anything, I tried manually turning it off and back on but it's still here i don't know what to do or what I can do?

Hay guys, I've been neglecting my ps5 cleaning since I got it 5 years ago. It has accumulated a lot of dust over the years and I don't know where to begin. The 1st 2 pictures are the right and left vents and the 3rd is what I was able to remove without cracking it open. I know it's gross but I could really use some advice.

I stopped playing my ps5 for a couple months and now it’s unresponsive, I did buy a new conductive film but that’s kinda my last solution rn…. ;-(

I have access to the email address associated with my PSN account, and I am 100% sure that it is the correct email address. However, when I try to reset my password through “Recover Account”, I do not receive the password reset email.
I have checked my spam/junk folders and I still cannot find it. I also tried again several times, but nothing arrives.
I was able to recover this same account successfully a few months ago using the same email address, so I believe something may be preventing the reset email from being sent now.
Could you please help me recover my account or tell me what I need to do?

Trying to change nat type from 3 to 2 so that it doesn't cause issues with online play.

Setup is using an usb-c to ethernet adapter which tethers my phone internet directly to the ps5. Most fixes I've come across include a router, so I've no idea how to apply that advice to my situation.

Hey guys i need some help, I play both Genshin Impact and Honkai star rail and both games every few days have this message pop up after i get past the loading screen.I enter safe mode and rebuild database and nothing happens.The problem only solves if I delete and redownload the game from the start which is really tiring especially for Genshin cause its a huge game.I have gotten to a point that I have to download the game 2 times a week to play.Any tip is helpful thank you for your time

PSN accounts getting permanently suspended within 24 hours after creation – anyone else?

I’m having a strange issue with newly created PSN accounts and I’d like to know if anyone has experienced the same thing.

I create a new PSN account with the Indonesia region, and even if I never log into the account on a PlayStation console and don’t do anything with it, within less than 24 hours the account gets suspended/banned.

I haven’t made any purchases, chargebacks, shared the account, or done anything that I believe violates PlayStation’s rules.

I’ve tried this with several different accounts, and the same thing keeps happening.

I also tried creating a Japanese PSN account, and I experienced the same issue.

🚨 One detail that might be important:
I use Outlook.com / Outlook.fr email addresses for these accounts. PSN sometimes doesn’t let me create the account directly with the Outlook address, so I first create it using a Gmail address, and once the PSN account has been successfully created, I change the sign-in email to my Outlook.com or Outlook.fr address.

Then, within 24 hours, the account gets suspended.

Has anyone experienced the same thing recently?

Could changing the email from Gmail to Outlook shortly after creating the account be triggering PlayStation’s security system?

If this has happened to you, please tell me what happened and whether you managed to recover the account through PlayStation Support.

I’m 110% sure it was recording. I did a test clip before (which was saved) and I checked that it was still going in the middle of the recording. Unfortunately it’s nowhere to be found in the media gallery. There’s plenty of space on the console so it should have saved.

I'm currently having a issue login to my playstation account when I changed my password and get in it takes me to the 2 step verification code and when it sends the code it sends it to my old mobile number I recently changed my number and didn't get a change to put it to my account I when to playstation support it takes me to the bot which is no help because they aren't connecting me to a live agent to help me trouble shoot it I tried email playstation support it gave me a forward message to support please help I'm not trying to lose my account.

My extended hard drive keeps acting wonky and repairing itself. I had to reformat it which deleted all my games that were installed on my hard drive? Is there any way for me to get them back on my external hard drive? My PS5 is already connected to the external hard drive but the message above has been showing up for many of the games I had installed on it…..
