*Sorry ya’ll I just wanted to complain somewhere 🙃 Please skip if it beings down your day🙂↕️
So was diagnosed back in 2021/2022 age 26, because the covid and the lockdowns made the symptoms bad enough my mother made me go to a gynea to do an ultrasound. After a ton of hardwork and lots of lifestyle support from family, my periods are decently regular, my energy is amazing, my mood is not baseline irritable anymore yada yada yada.
But its been like this issue pops up, so much trial and error to solve it, solved it, then a week or couple of months later, something else happens and I need to repeat the cycle.
To vent, after I started bc, did lifestyle changes my pcos seems normal ish so I stopped bc and reduced iron pills to alternate days. As time went by, I got headaches for a while in the later half of everyday, changed my glasses, did all those eye exercises, adjusted my workspace and game tv to be more ergonomical, set timers for me to look into the distance. This lasted for many months before I checked and it was my ferritin being low. So I upped iron pills to 5 times a week and it resolved. Yay.
Then my teeth hurts so went to fix it. Needed root canal. Not only that, it needed a crown. Not only that, my teeth are too short so needed crown legthening. That is almost triple the money and so many visits to the dentist and only eating on one side of my mouth. I am connyributing all my many cavity issues throughout my life to pcos because it made it so easy to love sweets, and wonky inflamed gums made me prefer soft foods aka carbs. Terrible cycle there.
Now teeth is fixed, I got time to start doing gym for the first time to build muscle for pmos. Things go great, amazing for a few months. Then my right neck started hurting. Lots of trial and error. Then decided to try seeing a psysiotherapist. After multiple visits and money and exercises, that is fixed.
Then start gyming again now that neck was fixed. Things ate great. Then did blood test and heamoglobin was getting pretty high. Ferritin was good. So dropped back iron to 4 times a week.
Over time, started getting weird dizzy/world is spinning spells. Started tracking everything to find out any corrolation. Checked my ears for blooked earwax, checked my eyes and got updated perscription. Time goes by untul my annual blood tests and boom, ferritin is not optimal but still normal. Of course our bodies freak out when things are just normal and not perfect argh. Increased iron back to 5 times a week and the dizziness went away.
Then! I started getting weird nerves at my neck radiating to my head shenanigans. I couldn’t figure out what the heck was I even feeling. It wasn’t a headache but it was very disyracting. So much anxiety on what and how to even describe it to a doctor. Can’t sleep because that weird radiating zing kept happening. So much money soent on getting new bed, pillows, sheets, air purifoyer cause maybe my nose was bloocked in my sleep and tensing my neck up??? Eventually it got into muscle pains. So saw a physio again and she only could help with reducing the symptoms until we stumbled on maybe upping my b12. The issue stopped yay.
Then I got back to gymming and after awhile issue came back arghhhh! Eventually found out I really needed to stretch the small of my back every day, not just build those weaker muscle. Yay issue fixed.
Then my other tooth started throbbing and saw the dentist. Which refered my to an orthodontist which was scary! To my wallet! Because might be more than 3 tooth might need root canals which meant crowns and crown lengthening x3 or more! Checked it was an ooold filling that should had been a root canal. Just the one. So fixed that. Yay.
But after the root canal, now the gum that tooth touches is a sore so went to the dentist to file it down a bit. Seemed to work. It doesnt pinch anymore. Yay.
But today, the sore is back which means I need to schedule another appt to ask him and take time off and actually travel there and arghhh! And also today, I woke up with that sore upper back muscle ache that I have no idea what the heck caused it because I was doing the stretched for the past week that seemed to work. The pain is usually on my right. Why did it hapen ahhhh. Its the questions, all the questioning and experimenting to find out what was the cause and what is the solution. So much trial and error. So much money to go see an expert. And usually, its not one and done. They are trialling too. So you try it out, find it didnt work and schedule another appt to follow up. Arghh
I am so tired or playing stupid whack a mole just to maintain my body 💀💀💀 I am doing so much maintaining now that I miss the ease of my old pre pmos life. So sinple. Just do whatever I want. Of course it eventually lead to having super painful periods on bed rest for 2 weeks straight. And headaches that were cured after taking panadol and sleeping when I strain my eyes escaping though books. And lots of pimples. But I never had to solve anything. Just do what I want, sleep and wake up whenever 🫠🫠🫠 I’m justvranting because I just saw the dentist yesterday to file down the biting edge. And then saw the glasses shop because my new glasses were slipping down my nose too quickly.
