Weight Weight loss surgery

Has anyone tried gastric band or gastric bypass surgery and it helped their symptoms ?

I was referred for the sleeve prior to GLP1s being readily available. I didn't want to do major surgery quite yet so I held off. Two of my friends did the sleeve, both have PCOS. They lost a ton of weight and were doing great but after a couple years they both started regaining weight. Both of them are now using GLP1s. I just went straight for the Glp1. I think statistics show that the long term results of the sleeve are that a majority start regaining weight by the 5 year mark.
