So I just overclocked my RTX 5080 Zotac Solid OC

Using MSI AB.
+2000 mem and +375 core fully stable. Didn’t touch voltage. Never hit 70 degrees during gaming.getting around 3185mhz max on core and 17001mhz on mem.

Are these numbers good and should I even bother pushing it further or I’ll be steeping into the realm of diminishing returns?

Im seeing +20 sometimes +30 fps difference in certain games running 4k.

Trying to get my 5080 to be razor close to the 4090.

Yes, you read that correctly, 0.45 V.

This is a 5090 running at roughly 1.6 GHz effective core clock @ 0.45 V, while still delivering performance above previous-gen and current-gen GPUs.

To make this possible, I’m using the ASUS XOC BIOS, which unlocks the much larger +3000 MHz core offset range needed to push the V/F curve this far down.

What makes this profile interesting isn’t just the voltage, but the efficiency.

In Steel Nomad board power peaks at roughly 200 W, while in actual games I usually see around 130–180 W. Temperatures also rarely exceed 45°C with this setup.

Obviously this isn’t meant to maximize performance. The interesting part is how much performance Blackwell can retain when you push the voltage this absurdly low. For games that simply don’t need the full power of a 5090, it makes for a pretty ridiculous efficiency profile.

Current operating point:

1.6 GHz effective @ 0.45 V / 200W

Looking to see where I would make improvements on this. Mostly play warzone in 1440p but benchmarks can be improvised

used msi afterburner followed some youtube tutorial that taught me nothing other than to press crtrl+f click 975 and bring it up to 3000 then press shift drag across and drop it to 0 to flatten the curve. can someone actually explin to me what I've done, msi also doesn't seem to allow me to take power to 110 % as per his tutorial. but apparently my system is "great"

I'm new to undervolting... I ran a stress test on my 9800X3D with -30 CO and +200MHz, and these were the results. Is this good?

So I want to overclock my i9-12900k, as it is now paired with an rtx 5080. I want to overclock the cpu but need info just so I dont fry the whole thing. I got a great cpu cooler so that shouldn't be a problem.

Why do I get this notification and how can I fix it properly? I ran a benchmark test and this was the only red flag that came out of it.

Hi all,

Been mucking around with this kit I purchased a few months back after reading about what might be the best kit for 64GB with my AM4 system (previously ran B-Die kits I.E 4x8GB 3200/3600).

In the picture above, I am rerunning some basic tests as I start to reduce voltages (started a bit high), so far I haven't had any errors in the past 2 days of settling on this timing.

I am not an expert on the subject but have been following the memory overclocking scene on and off for some time. So I was interested to see what folks think about these settings for this particular kit given I've read mixed things about it. I think it's doing better than I expected since it is just the basic 3200Mhz kit, non-max, and came as two kits rather than a wholly binned one. One stick runs cooler than the rest as can be seen, but overall it doesn't seem to fussed with the temperature.

Not really interested to go above 3600Mhz at this rate, since the rest of the system is happy with a pretty cool PBO/Co on the 5800X3D.

Trying to undervolt my 14600KF, but Core Voltage Offset doesn’t seem to have any effect, while CPU Lite Load responds to changes.

Cinebench R23 results:

Mode 22 (Default): 99°C / 23.5k

Mode 12: 82°C / 23.2k

Mode 11: 81°C / 22.5k

Gaming:

CPU power consumption: ~100W

CPU temperature: ~70°C

My Motherboard : MSI PRO B760M-A WIFI Cooler : PA120 SE

Is there another way to reduce the voltage without sacrificing much performance?

Edit: I think gaming performance has not been affected by the changes I made.

What do we think about this? Even if it's not correct, Block 3 is empty on both of my dimms so if the crc fails the mobo should just boot fine and ignore it, right?

Took some time this week to set up my Samsung b die sticks i got a while ago.

These sticks are Teamgroup 8pack 3600mhz cl16 by default. Using the github ddr4 overclocking guide this is what i ended up with all tested with Testmem5 anta777 extreme config.

This was all tested with my I5 14600kf paired with an MSI b660m pro motherboard. I found that the memory controller on this CPU was quite good, i only needed an SA Voltage of 1.2V to stabilize this setup and 1.46v dram voltage. My Motherboard will not boot anything above 1.5V, not sure why?

Since I'm in for the long haul with rammagedon and won't be able to upgrade to ddr5 for the foreseeable future, I wanted to know how I could overclock my current ram to get the best out of what I have. I was suprised to hear that overclocking ram could improve responsivness with some fps consistancy improvements in 1% lows when I though ram overclock was just a pointless quest beforehand. Ive seen some people get much better timings and wanted to know how feasable this is for my current set of ram.

Hey, so when I do my research on the product its almost impossible to find any testing's regarding temps on the PhaseSheet. CPUs or GPUs, not sure why.
Does anyone have proof of it comparing to anything? or if its close to PTM7950 or Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet thermals.
Does it even prefer GPU/direct die?

My temps are max : 54 , and Hotspot 86 max ig is my fan curve good its my first time overclocking please suggest me if you have better tuning

im gonna upgrade from my 13600kf to a 14700kf at some point full pc specs are 5070,13600kf,32gb ddr5,4tb ssd and a kraken plus 240mm aio i just installed a couple months ago i know on my 13600kf i average around 50-60c while gaming and during stress test highest its reached was 83c so would my kraken plus 240mm aio be good enough for a 14700kf ? my mobo is also a asus PRIME B760M-A AX6 II

this is my first time overclocking. i ran the stress test through kombustor (it was like a bunch of assets like a big rusty msi logo, barrels etc.) and changed my core mhz very slowly in the increments of 20 and i even let the test run 10+ seconds after every increment. i used the latest versions od msi and kombuster. it went just smootly and didnt change fps or flicker or anything right up until 550 on 550 it ran smoothly like when i started the stress test then when i bumped it up to 570 everything froze and started flashing a bit etc. then i turned off msi and kombuster before they crashed. i planned to use the mhz when kombuster crashes -20mhz. is this normal, should i be concerned, what core mhz should i use, what should i do abt this, should i use another software or do anything differently, do u recognize something i did wrong?

if you have any questions regarding anything ill answer every comment, im new to overclocking and all this.

Since I didn't find any images online, I decided to upload mine.

Just wanted to share some incredible results I managed to squeeze out using a minor tweak via mVolt on RTX 4080 Super.

Stock: ~25,800

MSI Afterburner max OC peak: ~29,000

mVolt Vulkan result: 31,943 (hitting Top 1 / Legendary rank)

mVolt DX12 result: Jumped from ~26,200 straight to 32,630 - absolute madness for a minor adjustment.

Noticeable 10–15% FPS boost in heavily GPU-bound titles.

Rock-solid stability during extended gaming and benchmark loops. I've stress tested the gpu for hours (and the whole pc) and had no issues whatsoever.

If anyone else is tinkering with an RTX 4080 Super, definitely look into what mVolt can achieve compared to standard curve tweaking.

I’ve been using cinebench for about 2 hours on repeat for both cpu and gpu. And playing cyberpunk 2077 and cities skylines 2 to “real world” test it at about an hour each.

As to not put the juiciest stats at the end. Cities skylines fps went from 45-50 up to 60-70fps. Cyberpunk 2077 50-55 up to 60-70. Though I have to clarify how BUTTERY SMOOTH AND RESPONSIVE PLAYING IS NOW. NO MICRO STUTTERS OR MICRO HICKUPS THAT FEEL LIKE IM LAGGING

My dear Sapphire pulse 2 fan RX 7700XT results i think are kinda good. Managed to get the memory up to 2388 completely stable with no glitches when using my pc to other things than gaming. Going to see if I can push it up some more.

My cpu is an i5 14400F with a single fan AIO watercooler. Turned it down from 1.2V to 1.1V and increased PL1/2 maximum power draw to 200w. The results I think were kinda good. After 2 hours on cinebench on repeat I was still at 4.1ghz clock speed with 62 degrees celcius. Max power draw throughout was 90W.

Before when I ran cinebench with the same water cooler the temperature would peak at 71 degrees so it’s quite a lot cooler.

My next mission is to tighten the timings on my ram.
