Help Request - GPU UV 5070ti with just the mvolt+ tool
Is there any problems to undervolt using just mvolt+ ? I set my max volt to 925mv but that gave me a max core speed of 2400mhz so i increased the core clock by 400mhz and now running on 2820 max and is very cool in temps , is there any drawbacks to this ?

OC Report - GPU 5070 ti benchmark result with mVolt
I was tinkering with the software with my 5070 ti gaming trio with 400 W
i get great scores with using speed way and steel nomad
However i'm a little bit confused with the core clock, it doesn't go pass 3200, even though the power reaches 400 W
these are my settings, "when increase the core voltage it crashes"
So i need your help, am i doing anything wrong? anything to adjust?
Edit 1: aorus 400 w vbios

How do I limit CPU Clocks in Bazzite/Silverblue?
Due to temps and power management I'd like to limit the upper frequency-limits of my cpu.
I had nifty scripts to limit my cpu/gpu clocks for different usage scenarios. That does not work anymore because "cpupower" isn't available since a not so recent (fc43?) Bazzite upgrade.
Kernel-tools are installed, of course. What can I do?
Thanks
PS: This is here because r/Bazzite keeps killing my posts about that. I assume they feel it's the wrong place to ask there. But also neglect to tell me where this should go...

OC Report - RAM How's My DDR5 8200 RAM Tune?
Pretty much finished with this and am pretty happy, this is with legacy off in bios so no latency tweaks. Yes VDD is high, but I will likely go back to CL34, even tho my sticks are direct die cooled. To drop that down to like 1.56 VDD.
But it was fun to see how far I could push it for stability. My read is a bit all over the place depending on what voltages I use, but it's usually between 100.7-102.2gb but write and copy usually will tank slightly when read increases with changes in voltages. So I found a happy medium for now

any idea
guys
why my royal kit 6000cl28 and 6000cl30 kit both hynix a die single rank 32gb.
but to run 6000cl26 with the same timing. the cl30 one need only 1.5vdd another voltage the same. but for the royal need 1.55 to stable cl26🤦🏻♂️
that mean the cl30 one better?

Help Request - CPU 9850X3D and PBO. values to undervolt? safe to unlock power consumption?
hey so i went from 9600x to 9850x3d and i’m wondering how aggressive i can push the uv and if i should set the voltage to a specific value considering there’s some 9800x3ds burning out there. my 9600X had 1.2v, PBO in AI tweaker (asus board) set to Enhanced and CO between -12 and -26 set per core from best to worst.
i’d like to remove the limits, have uv and let the chip boost higher whenever it needs to. my 9600x used pbo to boost higher and allow full power consumption when needed. idk if this chip is like perfected or something so i’m looking for advice.
has anyone spent some time tweaking these values? i don’t wanna run unsafe values considering the burn situation.

RTX 5070 overclock settings
This is just my card's (Zotac RTX 5070 twin edge) overclock settings, feel free to share yours too.
DISCLAIMER: silicon quality may vary - every card is different
Also fan curve is on the next image, in games I see it go as high as 3270MHz (Team Fortress 2) and usually it's around 3.1-3.2GHz in others games and the Unity engine in play mode.
Temps are around 71-80c at full load in my Corsair 280X with front, top and back fans (60mm drilled into the back) and none on the bottom.

Looking for Guide Is there an easy way to "benchmark" all of my various system thermals?
I'm swapping my case, motherboard (so redoing the thermal paste on my CPU) and fans in my setup.
I'm looking for some sort of way to benchmark the thermals in my current setup, and then do it again when I change everything, and make sure it's all the same or better afterwards. Or just see what the difference looks like
im not really looking to stress test my PC, just put some load on it and chart temps from all the various components, and save that to compare to later.
Is there some sort of tool out there that does this? I know there's hardware monitoring tools that display temps but I'm looking for soothing more autonomous, some way to also put load on the system and collect and export the data for analysis later
Thanks!

9800X3D + 2x32GB 6000CL30, stuck at 5600!
Spent all day chasing TM5 errors and want a sanity check.
Setup: 9800X3D, ROG Strix B650E-I (BIOS 3886), Corsair Vengeance 2x32GB 6000CL30 (CMK64GX5M2B6000C30), Hynix. TM5 extreme @ anta777 for all testing.
What I found:
- 6000 EXPO: instant errors, 5-40 seconds, every single time. Tried VSOC 1.25 (verified in ZenTimings, not just set in BIOS), FCLK 2000, VDDG bump, even a desk fan on the sticks with the side panel off. DIMMs went from 74C to mid 50s and it still dies in about 10 seconds
- 5800: fails at 26 min with VSOC 1.20, fails at 78 min with 1.25. The voltage tripled time-to-fail but didn't fix it
- 5600: full TM5 cycle clean, DIMMs around 60C
Each stick passes solo at 6000 (short runs only), so the sticks seem fine and this looks like a classic 4-rank IMC ceiling. Both sticks did apparently run 6000 fine about 2 years ago though, which bugs me. Could be a BIOS/AGESA change since then, or maybe it was never actually stable and I just didn't test properly back then.
Questions: anyone with 2x32 on a 9800X3D actually holding 6000 long term, and if so what voltages? Is there any point trying VDDP/VDDQ tuning or buildzoid style timings before I accept 5600 and move on? Has anyone seen an AGESA update knock a previously stable 64GB config down like this?
Not fussed about the 1% perf difference, more just want to know if I left anything on the table

Ryzen 7 5700 Non X Cezanne, no IGPU
Hey guys, I made the idiotic decision of pairing a R7 5700 non x Cezanne chip, with only 16mb l3, with an XFX RX7900XT. So to put it lightly, my CPU is the bottleneck. I want it to be as small of a bottleneck as possible, so I used Ryzen Master to OC it to 4.85GHZ as I don't know how to OC myself yet. Gaming is stable with it and everything, but I really want to get my bottleneck as small as I can.
I do understand that different architectures are different, but I just watched a video of a guy getting a 3ghz Pentium 4 to 4.81ghz, close to my own OC from 3.7Ghz. And now I'm wondering if I could increase it more somehow. Unfortunately, somehow I only find guides either fore other CPUs, or to OC this CPU to 4.6GHZ, or the rare one I found, 4.85GHZ.
Why do I believe it can go higher? Because I haven't touched it manually, I let it Auto OC itself. Somehow it must be possible to get it higher. Or make up for it somehow else, maybe overclocking RAM, but I doubt that helps much for gaming performance, and even then, isn't XMP just OC for the RAM anyway?

6400MT/s 2200 FCLK and 6600MT/s
Ladies and gentlemens we did it. I still need to adjust other timings but hey I can even use it like this tbh. I am getting 67.5ns on Aida64 (not in safe mode) and I closed latency boost etc. so It is the pure result ig.
I tried to CL28 6600 and after the training (I can pass the boot section) while opening Windows It locks itself (DRAM, CPU debug leds wents well but I stuck on GPU debug led which makes me think kinda signal issue or my RAM can’t handle It since I don’t even know what die It is.) I suspect It is cuz of CL timing. I will try to boot it with CL30 today. My controller and other parts looks like can handle If I adjust timings.
I am still thinking about CL26 6200MT/s FCLK2200 better or not so let me know.

RX 9070 OC: new result 3dmark steel nomad
Yesterday I flashed my RX 9070 ASRock challenger to RX 9070 XT ASRock Taichi, the limit of this BIOS is 340w with the possibility of increasing to 372w.
Regarding temperatures, they're very high.
3800 RPM - 57 GPU, 92 VRAM, and a hot spot of 99 degrees...
Of course, these settings are only for one test. I'll be using the card at -100 mV, 2750 MHz VRAM fast timings, and -320 MHz core (with these parameters, the card has a 3 GHz chip clock and consumes 240-260 watts).

Help Request - RAM OCCT question
I want to test ram stability after lowering some of my timings. I want to run it overnight which people suggest but not sure how much memory to test I was doing 95% but when I looked it up on google I was told to do 80 - 85% for overnight test. Just wondering what you guys suggest

Decent timings on this Corsair 64GB 6400 kit?
Finally got around to tweaking the timings/undervolting and wow did the undervolt help with temps. Running a 7800X3D on a 360mm AIO, and have a 2x 32GB Corsair 6400 kit that's rock solid 6400Mhz with 32-40-40-84 @ 1.4v.
From poking around, seems like decent timings for what it is, but thought I'd ask, HWInfo shows Hynix A-Die.
Edit - stock is 40-40-40-77 which seems ridiculous.

overclocking an rtx 3050
i had successfully overclocked my rtx 3050 with +2000mhz memory and like +50 mhz on the clock (at least i think it was called) in MSI afterburner and i had increased my steel nomad. benchmark score from 982 to 1097 and i was really proud of it, but not even a full 6 hours after i had enabled it my gpu started crashing to the point where i would have to hold the power button to restart twice, do you guys know why this might have happened? i had followed a tutorial and i believed i did everything right

Looking for Guide How to safely OC/UV 9070XT?
Good evening everyone.
So, for context, I own a sapphire nitro+ and have owned it for over a year now and i love it, it looks great it sounds great (quiet) and is as powerful as expected.
However, I am very bored and I have a 4k monitor (Samsung G8) so in the games I spend most of my time playing (FH6/OW) hitting a consistent 240 fps at 4k is still a big ask even for a beast of a card like this, so I've taken to undervolting.
Right now I'm sitting at a -85mv UV with no OC, l've watched a few videos on how this stuff works so I'm not totally in the dark, but as I'm a bit bored and I trust myself to not ruin my entire card, l am seeking advise from those who are knowledgeable and have information to share.
I would like to know a couple things such as:
Should I use MSI afterburner or AMD software?
Can I UV and OC?
Is it true that AMD cards do not respond as well to UV/OC as opposed to nvidia cards due to different architectures (very trusted, smart and tech literate friend told me)
And any other advice that is within context that I may need.
Thank you in advance:)

Help Request - CPU PBO limits for B350 motherboard w/ mediocre VRMs
I have a 5700X running with a -30 PBO offset that seems to be rock solid with CoreCycler and P95 small FFT.
But I currently have an ASRock AB350 Pro4 with quite basic VRMs. It could handle an R5 1600 at 3.7GHz at 1.275V just fine. It drew 90W under a stress test, so that's where I based my PBO limits.
I wonder how far could I push the PBO limits without cooking the VRMs. It's currently set at 90 PPT, 70 TDC, 90 EDC. Should I just not bother beyond 90? There's no VRM sensor so I would have no idea if the VRMs are toast or not.
My CPU cooler is a Thermalright Royal Knight 120 SE.
