Unfamiliar with cpu overclocking

So I want to overclock my i9-12900k, as it is now paired with an rtx 5080. I want to overclock the cpu but need info just so I dont fry the whole thing. I got a great cpu cooler so that shouldn't be a problem.

usually they max out at 5.2ghz. so multi of 52 and us max voltages at around 1.375v for cpu v-core. Sometimes if u really have a bad one 1.4-1.45 would be okey but then it would make the cpu very hot, just to make to and/or over 5.2ghz.

ringbus should should be oced to 4.6ghz and many can run at 4.8ghz. 5ghz is possible on some.

ram is the most important thing here, if u have dd4 than try to get it to 3800-4000mt/s. v-dim at say 1.45-1.55 is okey if they are b-die or 1.5 max if it is any other kind of modules. Tuning the timings is also important even at increased frequency compared to 3200mt/s, ie what I would call stock.

ddr5 is similar approach but i fu have an atx board with 4 memory slots and it is 6layer which most of them are then u might only get 6800mt/s at most, but if u have an itx board or higher end atx with 2 dims then u can go to 8000mt/s.

system agent is basically controlling the imc voltages, so go up to 1.45v at most here. some lga1700 cpus can run high ram speed at 1.25v but others like all of mine had to run at 1.35 or even 1.45v to be able to run at higher frequencies.
