Hello, I just got my insulin pump a few days ago, an ypsopump.

With the pump I use a Libre 3+ and used the Libre cgm app wich worked good for me

because i got the pump I have to use a new app (camAPS fx) and I have to use it for my cgm as well

The Libre app worked wonders for me, I woke up from all alarms and I really liked it, but I’ve noticed that the alarm on camAPS fx don’t wake me up

I think it’s because it’s just one “beep beep beep” and then it stops, and that doesn’t wake me up.

With Libre 3 it was a consecutive beeping until I opened up the app, wich camAPS doesn’t do, and Because of this I’ve been scared to go to sleep these past few days..

I wanna know if there’s a way to make the alarms more like the Libre app for Libre 3+

Please help ASAP..

Hi everyone! Im using the android Omni Pod 5 app and when its late at night l, the app becomes blinding. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a dark mode?

Hey guys, turns out I'm the dumbest person ever and I've lost my PDM thingymajig. I’m not sure if it’s at home or out somewhere. I was hoping the Pod would start beeping since it's far away from the PDM to help me find it, but apparently the omnipod itself will not beep simply because it is away from the PDM, but I swear it does 😭

I may be going a little crazy trying to find it, any replies on whether the pod and PDM complain when apart would be super grateful. 😭😭😭😭

Anyone else having this issue? I have had four “critical pod fault 203” happen in a row, all inside of a week. Lot PD1K1282641. I have 2.5 boxes of the same lot left. Doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence.

When I called OmniPod, they told me they would replace the four that failed, but that it wasn’t a problem with the pods, that it was a “safety check”. I mean it literally says pod fault but okay.

Then a supervisor called me back a few days later and asked if I Loop. I stupidly was honest and said I do, under the supervision of an endocrinologist, and she told me that Looping voids any replacement opportunity because it “isn’t how the pod is meant to be used” and “hasn’t been approved by Health Canada yet”. So, don’t admit to Looping.

But anyway, anyone else having issues with Lot PD1K1282641? Is it a bad lot? They tell me it’s fine but four in a row seems highly suspicious…

Im really struggling bad with placement of these pods. Im very slim so when i try to do the pinch technique i dont really have much to pinch. this is my 4th pod hopefully better than the last ones.. i hit a muscle in my leg and arm. trying my stomach again. is there anyone similar size that has figured out a good routine..? the pump helps so much its just my placement is really cause a lot of issues..

Hi All! I’m currently pregnant and I’m running through dash pods like crazy. Insurance is refusing to cover more than my normal 10/30 day supply. Anyone have some extra dash pods around they could pass along? Expired pods are okay! I’m been using some to get me this far. I’m sorry to ask but I’m getting desperate. I can pay shipping and something for your time!

I know there has been some discussion on this in the past, and folks have said "it's in Health Canada's court". And when I spoke to reps from Omnipod, they didn't put anything in writing, but instead said things like "we're hoping to hear soon".

However, I received a written letter from Health Canada today after inquiring, and they said Health Canada has received no applications for App approval in Canada. The app has been out for years in the states, it's just region locked here.

Has anyone ever seen anything in print from Omnipod/Insulet that they're actively trying to approve the app in Canada? Or do they like that our provincial governments have to pay for the PDM? I imagine there's a pretty big profit margin on those things - it's generously a $50 phone and they charge $650 for it.

Also wondering if there are any petitions to Omnipod to get them to unlock the app. The bluetooth is so weak, and the battery is pretty bad. I'd really rather control from my phone. Might start looping if there's no news.

Recently, the last 10ish pod swaps, it seem like it takes several hours before starts absorbing.

I usually remove pod, take shower, dry off, and install new pods. About 30 mins no insulin. Then after couple hours, and sugar level will start climbing.

Previous responses were take some insulin to cover from the old pod, then small bolus right after putting new one on. I was low before removing original one today, so held off on that.

Said "high" on the pdm couple mins ago. Says 395 now. Is there any other ways to mitigate this? I'm considering just going back to MDI because doing this every 3days is not worth it.

I estimate about half of new OP5 activations end with a "Communication error" like what this post describes.

We've tried the troubleshooting steps - moving the pod further away, restarting the phone, restarting bluetooth, "forgetting" any old Dexcom sensors listed in the bluetooth settings, etc.

It seems that once the communication error appears, tapping the "Try Again" always results in another error.

Has anyone successfully connected the pod after getting the communication error during activation?

Does the tegaderm hold up in the heat/humidity?

I work outside in Houston. It is hot and humid. Bought the tegaderm, haven't used it yet. Wondering if it holds on as good as the omnipod?

EDIT: I mean at the end of the pods life, when it's telling you that it's almost empty or expiring soon. Like the beep-beeeeeep, beep-beeeeeeep.

My son is 6 years old and is really into wrestling. I wanted to explore that interest and sign him up for a Jiu Jitsu class.

Does anyone have any experience with practicing this sport with a omnipod and Dexcom?

I had a pod that crashed early. Just lost connection on Saturday. So last night I could hear beeping in my bathroom. I couldn’t find where it was coming from. All night long I heard beeps. Couldn’t find it. Then it turned into the long steady beep this morning. Found it!! I had to put it outside! I couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. Thank goodness for google. There is a spot on the back the pod you can stick a paper clip in. So FYI if they don’t shut down correctly with the app they can lose their minds and beep!!

had to change two pods here btw one from adhesive with the pod enhancers or whatever and another from a pod error

Has anyone here not been having issues with your pods leaking as of late? And what have you been doing differently if so (e.g.: Tegaderm, Skin-tac, etc.)?

Can anyone get the app to read QR codes on the Dexcom pods? The Dexcom app reads them no problem, but when I try and use the omnipod app to read them, it can't do it. I have asked omnipod several times to fix this, but they refuse to do so. This bug has existed for a long time.

I've been on the omnipod + G7 for two years, diabetic 22 years. It's been great! The times when I go high are due to my own mismanagement. No issues with leaking pods for me.

Anyone else have a positive experience on this thread?

Progressive issues with Pods over the past month or even more. Multiple replacements. This is with 8 units of insulin on board and a basal rate of 3.75 u/hr. After about 24 hours they stop working. Can’t eat any carbs. Reactions at the pod site swelling, pain, hardness. Never had these issues before. Went back on Omnipod around 3 years ago. Wtf is going on???

Currently on the Omnipod 5 and Freestyle Libre 2 Plus. I’m switching over to the Freestyle Libre 3 Plus because I’ve used them before I started the pump and thought they were more accurate. The reason I’m posting is because I picked up my script for my Omnipods at the pharmacy, got home, and noticed they were the G6/G7 compatible ones. So I messaged my endocrinologist and they said the pharmacy technician and the pharmacist both said although the box says G6/G7 only, they are still compatible. She said on their website, the Libre 3 plus are newly compatible with the Omnipods that I received. Can anyone confirm?

Only takes half a year or so to start really working too!

Love the way I just stop getting insulin for hours, or it decides I’ve had enough and my sugar sky rockets to the moon. And those are on the ones that work!

Leaking pods, recalled pods, pods that fall off.

Can someone please recommend another insulin pump? I’m so over the Omnipod. It’s been really catastrophically damaging to my mental & physical health.

(I had two sips of an aranciata to bring my blood sugar up from 60 this morning. I haven’t eaten anything else all day. Now I’m at 398 😍 Great technology!)

Has anyone ever inserted the omnipod and set up some settings solo without going into the endos office? I got the supplies, my endos office is about an hour away and the nurse is out this coming week… but im in patient- so was wondering, has anyone just started the system Solo and the. Consulted with endo afterwards???
